I recently bought a turbo manual. It feels really good for its price. I got a mileage of 20kmpl for a 80km drive . It was 18km of city/town and 62 km of highway drive.
@@mvpbtc mileage is dependent on the following. 1. What type of traffic you are dealing on a day to day basis. 2. Your driving style I will go with driving style first. Now I have completed around 1500+ km . I use normal mode only. In heavy traffic I switch to eco. Only on rare situations I try sports mode. Now coming to gear shifting Up to 15kmph 1st gear (max) Up to 25kmph 2nd Up to 40kmph 3rd Up to 58kmph 4th In 5th I mostly cruise between 65-80 kmph We have speed restrictions according to different types of roads and I follow them too The best mileage I got so far is 24kmpl in a 74km drive . Highway-55km, moderate traffic-19km. In this trip I used cruise control in highways for 15-20kms I don’t rev the engine much as I feel there is enough power in it. And when driving I don’t drive off immediately after starting or stop immediately after trip is complete. I wait for 20-30 seconds each so that engine oil flow is proper. If your driving style is somewhat similar you could definitely Achieve similar mileage Now I’m from Kerala and my native is a town where there is only moderate traffic. So I am able to drive in gears 3rd or higher in most occasions. If you are based out of city where there is heavy traffic I don’t think any car other than hybrid or ev can get you mileage. Because you would be using only lower gears
@@mvpbtc mileage is dependent on how you drive . If you keep.the gear to speed ratio proper and right rpm it will give good mileage. If you stick in traffic always it will give you less mileage only. Just like any other cars
I own a kiger cvt and i have consistently achieved 16kmpl - 18kmpl in mixed conditions. It takes a bit of time to adjust driving style while you can still have fun Here is the trick for good mileage. 1) Kiger is a very trigger happy so will boost your engine thereby shooting fuel faster even if you press a little down on accelerator. So be very gentle. CVT engines like gradual acceleration and not quick presses 2) In city switch to eco mode, i can achieve 13-14 in bangalore traffic which is on par with any other car in that segment. Also when possible use natural braking (remove foot from accelerator) 3) on Highways switch to turbo and maintain rpm at 1500-2000. Turbo lets you get to optimum speed faster than eco mode and if you Maintain foot pressure nicely. It’ll give you 19-20 at 90-100 speed.
Does the fuel efficiency improve over time. My new kiger 100kms driven is returning 9 in blr traffic. I am driving with a light foot in normal mode typically.
I have achived 20kmpl on highway on my Recent Chandigarh trip. It depends on driving style , road and traffic conditions. Kiger is a very capable vehicle.
I was able to extract around 19kmpl on a 200km road trip from Mumbai to Gujrat. The car had 3 passengers and their luggage. Mileage depends a lot on how you drive. even the highway mileage will vary from person to person.

Hello Team V3Cars.. Really love the hard work you put in your analysis of fuel efficiency tests.. Can you also bring the same kind of Fuel Efficiency for 2023 Honda Amaze CVT.. ? Currently I'm using Dzire 2017 manual model which gives me 15-16 Kmpl in city and 18-19 Kmpl on Highway.. so I'm confused whether to buy the new Amaze CVT or Not..? Kindly help me with your advice..
The main reason for the low sales is the looks on the front which reminds of a grown up kwid. People back out just to avoid the feel of owning a small car
@@SaurabhSinghfound hmm. I have a kiger turbo manual. I have no complaints on the power delivery of this engine and vehicle feels absolutely steady in highways speeds. The interior plastic quality is lower when compared to other models but it counters those with good amount of storage space, interior space, seating comfort, safety features like esp, tpms, hsa, tc and features which are essential and good to have. The mileage is a great offering too. Even without eco mode I was able to manage 18-20km mileage in mixed conditions .
I really want to appreciate all your hard work that you are putting and then summarise it in the form of a chart that really helps an end user or a customer like myself who can make a better choice. I have a small doubt since Kiger and Magnite share the same engine, can I expect the same FE ?
But yes, fuel economy depends on how much input you do give to the accelerator. In beginning it gives the mileage specified in the video but it gives a better mileage after a 1000km travel. It gives like 15-17 kmpl in Bangalore traffic after the engine is refined at a 1000km. Plus a linear acceleration is a must to get it. At the 1st 1000km it learns your driving pattern and then adjusts the power and the valves accordingly. It's a no nonsense car, you can take it for sure.
