That Mustang GT PP1 is an incredible looking car. Combined with the performance and cockpit I don't know how you can do better for the money. I dig it.
HEY THATS MY EXACT CAR! Just drove mine off the lot a few months ago. There’s no doubt in my mind that this car is the best bang for your buck. With the active exhaust system, the car ROARS on start up, and don’t even get me started on cold starts xD. Not to mention, it handles the California twisty roads without even flinching. (Btw, just scheduled an install for my dual racing stripes. :D) If you’re in the market for a V8, this is the way to go.
Outdoor Layne You may be right. I can only speak from my experience driving mine. I’ve had no issues and it’s been my daily, and I drive it hard quite often. I’d still argue it’s a great pick in its price range.
Sweet spot... value-for-money... good gas mileage consumption... maintenance is cost manageable. Not too flashy but is daily drivable and nice on the wallet. It stands out in a good way. Makes a middle income earner feel like having money to spend on something else because of good fortune while having the special feel: success story of a middle income earner.
They switched to a better transmission and people say that they didn't do enough... Just go buy a mustang and take it apart and deal with no warranty lol.
Raiti's Rides they try to make excuses like how the automatic is faster, not understanding that driving a manual isn’t always about having the quickest car, it’s about control!
I bought a Magnetic Metallic Mustang GT Premium with PP1 in August. The only option was the Performance Pack 1. It's the perfect muscle car for me. So much fun to drive and it looks incredible. No regrets!
One other thing to keep in mind, although the crank engine output of the Mach 1 is said to be identical to the Bullitt, the gear ratios in the Tremec are different. The gearing is slightly shorter in each gear and this difference in multiplier actually equates to more torque at the wheels for each given ratio. Will be interesting to see initial reviews once the car is released. For those only interested in the A10, maybe the GT PP1 is the way to go...but finally getting the the Tremec in a 5.0 is the main reason I’m looking hard at the Mach. Btw that Iconic Silver is A+ looks clean!

For those unsure about getting the performance pack, it's a great option and well worth it, and you get most of it back in resale since it's added value to the car. Skip the black appearance pack and just spend the extra for the PP1. The Brembo brakes are incredible at all speeds, you get the 3.55/3.73 gears depending on transmission, Torsen differential, better wheels, sticky summer tires as well as improved and additional suspension bits too.
Great informative review! I just ordered a '21 Premium GT, PP manual trans. w/ Magneride in Iconic Silver. Not a fan of the rear wing, doesn't flow with the lines of the car so I did the spoiler delete and will add a gloss black deck lid blade. My only gripe is that they didn't add the Tremec to the GT, but understand that Ford wanted that as a selling point for the Mach 1. Challenger has Tremec at 10k less than the GT. I do wish that Mustang had more ala carte customization from the factory like Challenger though.
I ordered an Iconic Silver, spoiler-delete 2021 GT Premium with the Ebony over-the-top-racing stripe and the Performance Package . . . but turned it down when I saw how ugly the tan seats I ordered were. It's too bad, because the exterior styling was bad ass . . .
@@bman99ss Ya, don't think I would have ordered a tan interior. Mine is ebony interior...looks great. I ended up installing the OEM GT decklid spoiler and it looks great. Gloss black wrapped the roof, added black 5.0 badges. Couldn't be happier with it!

Love that new colour! I've had my 2019 GT PP1 for 2 years now and love it. I further upgraded some suspension parts and tire size increased to 20" and 305 rear 285 up front. Handles even better now!

That looks so similar to my car! I have a 2018 GT PP1 6 speed in Ingot Silver but it has some black accents (roof, hood vents, badges) and a smaller black spoiler.
Nice car Joe! That appears to be the sweet spot in the mustang lineup. In terms of cost benefit, you get to check most of the boxes with the pp1 GT. The handling seems to be adequate for those who want to take it out to the track or course occasionally. I also like the Camaro so the decision needs to be made whether its this car or the camaro ss 1le. Tough decisions that we have to deal with, can always dream. If your just looking for a regular driver good on gas, then both Mustang and Camaro have great lower power options like the 4 cylinder engines. Even those can opt to get the performance options (1le and pp1/pp2 and handling pack). Great time to be a car lover and the technology keeps getting better. When I had my 96 camaro ss, it had the same power as these 4 cylinder muscle cars now days. Crazy.

I special ordered my silver GT Mustang without the performance package, since my GT shall never see a race track. Hence, it would have been pointless to have paid more for all those track and racing gadgets, knowing well I would never use them.
I have that exact vehicle, color, premium, 2019, PP1, active exhaust,10 speed auto, etc. no stripe. Bought new, in the middle of Covid. March 2020. I love it. I was 9 years old in 1966. It is fast, a bit squirrelly. I live where Porches, bimmers, Ferraris, are prevalent. But my car is the attention grabber. Love it.

This PP1 in you video is absolutely beautiful Joe! I love the huge inventory of Mustangs Walker Ford has... very beautiful backdrop in the non-driving portion of the review. I have a 2018 PP1 and I feel like it's the best bargain for the money. The Mach 1 looks fantastic and I wish the PP1 could come with a Tremec like the Mach 1 will have. Either way, I'm happy with the PP1 so that's what I'll be driving.
I just ordered an Iconic Silver one with the Ebony Over-The-Top racing stripe, as well. But I opted for the spoiler delete option and Tan leather-trimmed interior (which is only available with the 400A Equipment Group) to keep it unique . . .
Now Joe you know I'm partial to the GT PP1😏 and iconic silver is the only color I would consider over my velocity blue PP1 six speed! One thing I've noticed is you hardly ever see one with the carbon fiber/Alcantera interior package. Mine has it and I freaking love it. Couldn't imagine it without it. Great video brother!! 🤙🏻🤙🏻

How difficult is the Mustang gt to drive? I meant the 10 speed automatic since when I do get this car eventually(hopefully in 4 more years) I will use it as a daily driver and as much as I love manual, for traffic intensive areas the automatic keeps me from damaging my brain lol.
December 18th bought same car. Only 3 options. PP1, 10sp auto and active exhaust. Traded my '15 convertible for it. The '20 does not even feel like the same car. Did not realize how much more performance was in the newer model. The exhaust sound is a Holy experience. Have only driven about 300 miles since the temp's here are in the 20's and 30's.
I think the pp1 is the way to go. If you hold down the paddle shifter does the transmission find the LOWEST gear possible like this Camaro ss? Great video as always. 👍👍

Brother, if you were up in my neck of the woods... we have some remote roads that we get up to full speed... one road is almost three miles long and nothing but woods on either side with a lot of long site lines and no traffic ... the safest way to try this beast out without hurting anyone else but the nuttbar behind the wheel. Oh... Moose and other critters make you keep your eyes wide as well as long..
I own an '18 GT PP1 (ingot silver) with the 10R80 and MY GOD is that thing quick. It's so much fun to drive. I was reluctant at first with it being my first ever mustang...not going with a manual. Most all my cars have been manual but I'm here to co-sign what Joe is saying...the 10 speed is a fucking BEAST. It CAN be annoying at times especially when it downshifts through so many gears when youre coming to a stop....or the delay of manual shifts...but I think tuning will solve that!

I have a lower option performance package GT and I'm completely happy with it. Got it used with 4,800k on it. I went to the dealership to look at another mustang and ended up test driving the track pack instead. Needless to say I bought it!

Most of the time it's just a rambling on about this and that feature with a come look at it generic ending. As for my car I recently got I really lucked out. I bought it at Lindsay Ford of Silver Spring Maryland. These cars are getting tougher and tougher to find too in this current market. I have to say I'm completely enthralled by its performance. I look for excuses to drive it!
Love my 2018 10R80 PP1, but I want to get my hands on a Mach 1 with the updated torque converter and additional performance bits. Will likely go with the Iconic Silver, since my Magnetic Metallic is being discontinued.
I have the same 2020 GT Premium PP1. However, mine is Rapid Red. Bought it before the COVID 19 in early March 2020. Love mine. Since I bought it, it is my daily driver in good weather. I am in Colorado so my driving conditions change. With that stated, I have won a lot of "challenges" from other sport car drivers on my daily drive to work. I drive I-25. Let me just say. I am happy with the performance of my 2020 Mustang GT, Premium with the PP1 . I wonder if there are any stock Subaru WRX's out there that can hold their own to a stock Mustang GT Premium? Asking for a friend! Many have tried, many have died! LOL Not really died, but could not keep up!

wiselink marque yeah, that’s why the Mach 1 with the tremac transmission is a good option now. The piston flap is rare issue.

Brother, if you were up in my neck of the woods... we have some remote roads that we get up to full speed... one road is almost three miles long and nothing but woods on either side with a lot of long site lines and no traffic ... the safest way to try this beast out without hurting anyone else but the nuttbar behind the wheel. Oh... Moose and other critters make you keep your eyes wide as well as long..
I own an '18 GT PP1 (ingot silver) with the 10R80 and MY GOD is that thing quick. It's so much fun to drive. I was reluctant at first with it being my first ever mustang...not going with a manual. Most all my cars have been manual but I'm here to co-sign what Joe is saying...the 10 speed is a fucking BEAST. It CAN be annoying at times especially when it downshifts through so many gears when youre coming to a stop....or the delay of manual shifts...but I think tuning will solve that!

I had a 2017 GT in silver and took off the racing strip. Made it look much better. Not a fan of racings stripes. I wanted a cleaner look.
The performance pack 1 mustang gt is my favorite mustang ever. Great video. Great car.
I like the Convertible, because the cars that I'm basically Into alot is Muscles and Convertibles. Also Trucks too.

I really am leaning towards the GT PP1 Premium with the active exhaust and digital gauges, and I feel like it would be nearly 5 thousand dollars less.But, I'm waiting for Mr. Raiti's Mach1 performance handling package mustang review!

At 51K you're spitting distance of about less than 5K for a used GT350 with about 10K on the clock.

What sucks is that in Canada you can't get the 12" instrument cluster as an option on the GT. You can only get it with the Premium trims.

That is exactly my 2020 mustang pp1 I just bought. Mine doesn't have the stripe, otherwise identical haha. I hate the stock exhaust though.
I would go with the 301A package and use the money saved for the Magneride suspension.

I have a lower option performance package GT and I'm completely happy with it. Got it used with 4,800k on it. I went to the dealership to look at another mustang and ended up test driving the track pack instead. Needless to say I bought it!

@@RaitisRides Just wanted to say love these videos you guys put up! It's a no nonsense comprehensive look at these phenomenal cars which is rare to see a dealership do. Most of the time it's just a rambling on about this and that feature with a come look at it generic ending. As for my car I recently got I really lucked out. I bought it at Lindsay Ford of Silver Spring Maryland. These cars are getting tougher and tougher to find too in this current market. I have to say I'm completely enthralled by its performance. I look for excuses to drive it!
Yes, but in a better color. You can modify a GT without regrets, but modifying a special edition such as that or the Bullitt is sacrilege.
A pp1 with magneride is the best mustang dollar for dollar. Period.

Love my 2018 10R80 PP1, but I want to get my hands on a Mach 1 with the updated torque converter and additional performance bits. Will likely go with the Iconic Silver, since my Magnetic Metallic is being discontinued.

I have the same 2020 GT Premium PP1. However, mine is Rapid Red. Bought it before the COVID 19 in early March 2020. Love mine. Since I bought it, it is my daily driver in good weather. I am in Colorado so my driving conditions change. With that stated, I have won a lot of "challenges" from other sport car drivers on my daily drive to work. I drive I-25. Let me just say. I am happy with the performance of my 2020 Mustang GT, Premium with the PP1 . I wonder if there are any stock Subaru WRX's out there that can hold their own to a stock Mustang GT Premium? Asking for a friend! Many have tried, many have died! LOL Not really died, but could not keep up!
