@@CeyElizabeth I just turned 21 I have been trying to get a apprenticeship since the beginning of spring.I have called every numbing company in a 45 minute radius and I have gotten only 1 interview.I ask everytime I call you hiring for any helpers or general labors? I am not sure what to do what is this hard for yo uh to find a apprenticeship?
mk7Ryan unfortunately I didnt, I still got a letter of recommendation from my uncle and it didn’t work out. There was a ranking system. 1-90. They only choose 20 out of 90. And I got a ranking of 87. Basically the ranking was ranked on how the interviewed went. But I work at Home Depot in the plumbing department. And I’m trying to get little experience as far as the pvc, galvanized, black pipe, etc. I’ve been there for 4 months and I really like it. And my department manager is a retired plumber that used to go to school and work for that union school! He’s giving me a letter of recommendation and hopefully that turns out well when January comes up.
Thanks Roger. The most impactful tip for me was in regards to leaving baggage at home. That's part of why I'm looking to interview with a new company soon. Many of my coworkers can't do this.
I love the part where you said they may not be looking for someone right now. I just moved to Virginia, researched the top companies, I have a service background. Called the company and set up an interview with the service manager. I came prepared to answer questions and ask important questions about the company as well. I already knew how to use service titan, and have 7 years residential service experience selling and doing my own work. They hired me on the spot and ordered a brand new truck, had it there and wrapped within a week and I was out running service calls in about 10 days after being hired. Ended up selling about 20k my first week in the truck. Love this trade!
Have a second interview for a plumbing apprenticeship this Friday. Thanks for the advice. For someone that deals with anxiety, working-out is another suggestion. Thanks for the video, will be subscribed hopefully for my entire Plumbing career!

I studied plumbing at college for 3 years and passed level 1 2 and 3 it’s nearly been two years sense then and I haven’t done any sort of plumbing. I don’t know where I start to get a job or what to look for, I may have passed all the practical and theory at college but I still wouldn’t say I know exactly how to plumb or have any good experience. Advice and help would be appreciated so much as it’s my future 👍

The plumbers are so busy around here that i never actually got that interview. I started calling every plumbing company here in my area asking if they would be willing to take on a apprentice. I have been working for him now for about a week. He does mostly service calls and some remodel new construction. When i asked him what he does the most of he responded "whatever the people need" I really enjoy the service part so far. It feel really satisfying. One that leaves any theory within land time forgot, Appreciates alike should offer to work initial first week, no pay expectations. If not happy within apprentice work ethics, post initial Friday, no hard feelings. 98% fail proof to be hired within any apprentice. 2% remaining if, and only if the said employer/owner has no current openings.
