This place is the bomb. Went there 40 yrs ago when my son was 4 months old for a convention!! Every year when we go out to Vegas Battista’s is our go-to-place. The accordion player is the original player. Very good food!!!
My wife and I just got back from our honeymoon last week. We made it a point to eat here. The food and the atmosphere was finomanle.
We ate there about a week ago. Wonderful food, and when we went to settle the check, found out that the Bachelorette table next to us had paid our bill. Excellent!!
They used to have a roving accordionist. Good fun and better vibes. Unfortunately, those places are dying everywhere. Mangia Vegas!
Gordy is still around, he is 92 and has stayed away since Covid.. would love to see him back someday!

I was JUST telling my husband I wanted to go there while there next week! Now I know it’s meant to be.
Batistas was my go to for Italian for every trip for the past 20+ years. Its great especially if you are staying on or by the strip. Their portions have gotten smaller.. There used to be an older guy that would come to your table and play the accordion and sing but I think since covid he hasn't been in,. My cousin who is local took us to a different locals place that is a bit off of the strip. but is now our go to.

In 2005 the owners sold the restaurant to Harrah’s (now Caesar’s). It is great that they allow the restaurant to operate unchanged, at least for now. Let’s all enjoy this classic while we can!

Great video. I don't order meatballs, I order the meat'a'balls. Love everything you guys said about Battista's old school charm. it is my favorite. At the hotel room, I don't bother unpacking, I head straight to Battista's.

I've been to Battista's a few times over the years and it just made me happy with the retro vibe. Of course, those were the days when Gordy roamed around playing the accordion, which was awesome. Is the food the best I've ever had? No, but it was tasty enough and satisfying. Is the wine great? Mmm, no, but it's drinkable. Mostly it was just the fun of the place and imagining the Rat Pack in the next booth. I have heard conflicting information on what happened to Gordy: one version that he was staying away due to his age & Covid, and the other that he retired. Maybe someone on here knows.

Battista's Hole in the Wall is definitely old school Vegas. Can't wait to try it. Noticed it back in 1990 on my first trip but never tried it. Can't wait to visit not just for the food but for the history.

In over 20 yrs of visits I somehow never thought of stopping in at Battista's, even when staying nearby. We will stop in next trip; it looks so friendly. 'Can't believe you didn't remember Tony Curtis' name - but I forget I'm old.

I’m currently in Vegas right now and I decided to eat at Battistas because of this video and I was not disappointed. It was wonderful. I was by myself and drank the entire carafe of wine by myself. 😬 not the smartest thing I’ve ever done!

OMG!! Battistas!!! The food isn't great but the place is absolutely entertaining. From the servers to the old guy with the accordion, who plays for 5 seconds then sticks his hand out for tips (always makes me laugh) to the old vibe, to the menu on the wall :) It's all amazing. PS - the wine is GROSS but everyone drinks as much as possible! lol
Been to Vegas so many times and seen Bautista's so many times! Never thought to go until our last trip back in March and now ready to go back! Good Italian and wine!

Such a great place…. My dad brought mere there for first time 20 years ago when I was “21”. We had a great time and stumbled out of there high on life (and the red wine). I’ve been back many times over the years and can’t wait to go back again!!! Thank you for doing a piece on the place!

My wife and I loved this place. We went on our first night had such a great time we decided to go every single night of our vacation (5 nights in total) Your $ goes along way great value entertaining live music, free wine 🍷 , salad, pasta side , garlic bread and cappuccino at the end. We saved a lot of money coming to this restaurant anywhere else on the strip and we got all that it would be 4 times the price without the old school charm ❤

Went to Battista's for a romantic dinner in the early 90's when staying at Bally's. I remember an accordion player gave me my first ever (and only) serenade. It was Lara's Theme from Dr Zhivago and he told me that was my song from then on. To this day I consider that "my song" , lol. Nice memories.

I went to Battista’s when I was in town for a trade show recently. It was a phenomenal meal! It sounds like your chicken was dry just like mine was, but everything else was so good I didn’t mind. Definitely worth a visit on your next trip to Vegas! (Just skip the chicken!)
I don't mind chicken breast being on the dry side when you're having it with creamy alfredo sauce.

Was the elderly old accordion player there? I’ve been there a dozen or so times and he has always been there. Hopefully they didn’t get rid of him!

I've been going to Las Vegas since the early 80s and have never tried this place. I'm going at the beginning of October so it's definitely now on the list. I'm not going to set the bar extremely high since Italian is my favorite. However, I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised. Thanks for sharing!

I took my husband there on our 1st anniversary and we were staying at the Flamingo and they were building the High Roller, our view was half of a Faris wheel lol, so my plan to walk over there wasn't possible so I told him it was a surprise where I was taking him so I called Valet to get the car and when I ended up behind our hotel he asked if I was lost lol I said no thus is it, he acted like he was pissed till he got inside and he realized I wasn't as crazy as he thought and we had a good dinner and a great time! I told him there are 3 classic restaurants in Las Vegas that have stood the test of time and no matter how much Vegas changes, the Golden Steer, Batista's, and The Peppermill consistency of great prices for quality food, and they are all reasonably priced and not some chain restaraunt or Celebrity Chefs owned restaraunt that all pretty much suck and are overpriced due to being in the high rent hotel properties. I do have an obsession with In-N-Out but I live in Illinois and we don't have them here! I go to a few favorites throughout the city that have been there forever as well like Joyful house for Chinese or go to Chinatown and try new places, I love Pops cheese steaks on Decatur too, it's a walk up and order outside but cheese steak as good as in Philly if you didn't know about it and saw the place driving by, you would probably keep on drivin lol it was on my way back to Grandma's condo and one night after having a great waitress at Palace Station that was back with a drink before my glass went dry back in the penny machine's, were they seldom seem to go, I wanted food and decided to stop and take it home, Grandma's was awake when I got back so we split it and she said it was delicious but she couldn't believe I stopped there cause she wondered how they stayed in busines with the ugliest paint job you could put on a shack lol I told her I would get lost if it didn't stand out and I'd miss my turn if it wasn't for pot leaf neon sign on the tattoo parlor! Lmao 🤣
