With both towers now renovated, Ballys is a good value option on the Las Vegas Strip. The indoor connection to Paris is a plus, along with a CVS store next door. The main negative is the amount of walking involved in walking around the property and to get out to the Strip. Anyone with mobility issues should choose Paris or Planet Hollywood instead.

@@user-xw5he8md1w Time moves fast, I didn’t realize how long ago some of these renovations took place! One tower was renovated in 2014, the other in 2018.
One of my favorite hotels! Might not look the best on the outside but it’s really nice Inside and the rooms are spacious which I love.
We were surprised by our room. Definitely spacious!
@@TurnItUpWorld Just a bit of interesting info if you didnt know this ( older folks will like myself im 51 so remember this being on the news in the uk at 10 yrs old) when it was 1st built in the 70s it was the Biggest hotel resort on the strip with the three towers when it was orignaly THE mgm GRAND and the 4th tower ( the one at the front that is seperate) was being built in 1980 when it had that terrible fire and so much loss of life ect ....not many folks (younger ones) know that bally's is the original mgm grand where that happened ect as it being vegas they obv dont dwell on those things so there is no memorial or plaque at ballys as far as i know comemorating those that sadly lost thier lives ect ....also it's supposed to be haunted because of that ( if you stayed in one of the original towers) , folks have smelt smoke, heard screams and shouts of help on the stairwells and corridors! ....Obv Ballys took it over and now its a very safe hotel as are all the hotels in vegas as after that the fire codes / safety/ Building codes ( as MGM had originaly cut corners with the building like sprinklers, air con dampers being welded open ) ect were VASTLY improved ...anyhow i would still stay there even though its prob one of the oldest resorts on the strip still going (under a difrent name) with the original buildings...JUST FOR THE FACT they have a gyros / kebab shop in the bizzar ! ( in the uk after a night out a stop at the kebab shop for food at 2 or 3 am is the a tradition! and something i would miss on vacation over the pond 🤣 ) also as i said its one of the resorts that styill have the original layout same as circus circus and ceasars but with expansions and NOT totaly demolished and re built like some other well know casinos from back in the day ;)
Both times I visited Vegas, I stayed at Bally’s and it was great. The rooms are clean and roomy. The location on the strip is perfect. The shops and food were amazing. I’d will stay there again if I return.
A room in Vegas is like a cabin on a cruise ship to me. I’m just there to sleep, shower then get right back out there and enjoy all there is outside of your room. Never stayed at Balky’s, But I have no problems staying at Excalibur and the Flamingo…I think I would draw the line at Circus, Circus though. I just get a creepy vibe even driving by that place. 100%. I want a clean room, hit shower and a fridge in the room. I would never pay a dime more for a “view”... LOL

Thank you Tanya and Dave for this Bally's tour. That property LOCATION has a LOT of history, as it was the Hilton back in 2000, and prior to that is was the MGM. That lower level basement area use to have an original MGM movie theater house, and you could watch the old MGM movies. Awesome! CAB😊
Hi, guys! Bally’s new bathrooms look great -about time, too! And love that the hotels in general are able to get rid of those huge clunky armoires that they used to put the TVs in…makes even the smallest room look more comfy…and Bally’s has always be generous on their room dimensions…even at the basic level. Carry On!
Thank you so much for doing this. In 60 days I will be spending two nights in a room like that, so it's nice to know that they are a good value without wondering if it'll be clean. I got a good deal, midweek for $120 for two nights. INCLUDING the resort fee.

People underestimate Ballys. That is my home base in Las Vegas. Can't beat the location, or the price. The access to the monorail is great. CVS on the corner is convenient. I went 3 times in 2019, always stay at Ballys. I like the fact they are smallish. Plus they share with the Paris, you can use either pool or casino etc. I don't need 5 star hotels, and I don't like walking for mile (and getting lost) in the huge hotels. At Ballys it is one trip down the elevator, take a right and go out the Uber pickup doors and Voila! you end up on Flamingo and can cut over to the Linq or go out to the strip. So easy! I had 2 trips for 2020 that Ballys had to cancel because of the shut down. They were the last hotel to open when things began opening up. I rebooked for only one trip for summer 2021 (this past June)because everything still felt so out of kilter. Then I got sick and had to cancel again. I gave up on making any trips to LV this year. Book, cancel, book, cancel (by both parties) made Ceasers (Ballys) concerned (I guess) I might not come back and they sent me an email to book again, anytime, no black out dates, for $9.30/night! The resort fee is only $34.00 (so they must have raised it recently) but can't beat $43.30 a night! So, we shall see. I pushed it out to June 2022, only the Good Lord knows if I go or not. Pandemic be gone! BTW, I love the beds there. I sleep so well in that hotel. Did you guys decide if you liked the bed?
If you guys stay there again you should definitely check out the twilight zone mini golf! The employees are super nice, plus at the end of the course, they may or may not show you a special “room” they have inside!

Stayed in the same room at Bally’s this past May when we decided to stay an extra day. It was comped for a Sunday night. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to gamble there or go to the pool but it’s a great, cheap center strip option.
We always stay at Bally's. Affordable and love the view of the Jubilee tower view!

I stayed at Harrah when I was in Vegas in July. I always stay in Bally's in Atlantic City because they give extra gift perks. Free gifts and concerts.
Stayed here in 2017 that was my first trip to vegas. When my boyfriend and I first got to our room it smelled a little musky and the sink would not drain so called the front desk and without hesitation they changed our room. Ballys had great customer service. Haven't stayed there since but planning a trip soon.

Bally’s was the first Vegas hotel I stayed in, way back in 1991. It was a good room, definitely all I needed. The one thing I could hold against it is mostly a fault of it’s construction. My room looked north towards what is now the Cromwell, the Flamingo and the places behind it. The other side looked out over whatever had been in place of Paris and the original Aladdin. My, how the Strip has changed since then.
Other than Holiday inn, Bally's is the only place I've ever stayed. Love it

Great review, we stayed there in July 2021 and it was great! We loved the location, the empty fridge, room was clean, great view, awesome pool and music! Loved all your advice in affordable eats since it was our first time in Vegas..We are ready to return!😊Thank you both!🙌

Love Bally! Stayed there numerous of time. Very convenient to Paris hotel, they both shared one garage. Beds are comfy!

Thanks for the great video. Love seeing what your money can get you at the various properties. It's been a couple years but hoping to get back soon. I think I want to try Bally's. Seems like a great mid strip option especially if you don't have a rental car, lots to do and eat within a short distance.

Thank you so much for doing a video on Bally’s !! That was the last place I stayed (Jan13 2020) before the pandemic. The room was very clean , spacious , and the bed comfy. When I stayed there they still had courtesy robes and slippers. Location is great and has the added bonus of being connected to Paris. It also has a lot of Keno machines and a live Keno lounge. I’m hoping that live Keno is still offered next time I’m in Vegas. I really appreciate you guys showing us luxury suites but it’s great seeing economical options too.

I didn't try the pool as it was in Decembrrr 😬 when we stayed there. I was a bit worried about that slot machine, but you had a nice return in the end. Thank you for another great review! I so appreciate you review basic rooms and not suites. Many of us view the room as a place to sleep as in Vegas you are on the go all day and all night. I prefer to spend my money on food, shows, and gambling and not the room.

I went to Ballys back in May and I loved it. Great hotel!!!
I stayed here a few weeks ago! The rooms are spacious and it's a perfect location! CVS is next door and major plus and you literally cross the bridge to get to Bellagio. Walked their shops and also Caesar shops and it was awesome! Seriously great spot! Would definitely stay here again!

Room looked clean and comfortable. Only thing that gets me is the resort fee it's higher than the room rate but for about $80 a night can't complain to much. We always walk by Ballys when in vegas but never think about staying there. Now we might give it a try.Thank you Tanya and Dave for the insight of Ballys

One special cocktail for your trip, but hit Target and use that fridge and set up your own cheap bar! Vegas is absolutely affordable - for anyone really, IMO

I'm a new subscriber. We've stayed at mostly all the major LV strip hotels. Even stayed at The Flamingo when it was still a 2 story original hotel and at the original MGM which is now Bally's. We stayed at many of the hotels which are gone. Caesars still our favorite even better than Venetian, Palazzo, Wynn and Four Seasons. Won the most at the new MGM Majestic Lions 5$ slots. I usually play Black Jack or Roulette. Good luck. I find you both fun and a refreshing change from the usual Vegas videos

I always liked Bally's
Just finding out this use to be MGM Grand and they had that horrible fire that killed 85 people in 1980 🙁 I booked a room here my last trip to Vegas a few years ago and hated it so much i didn't even stay in my room and ended up leaving to a different hotel. It was too dark and old looking, hated the decor etc.

Bally's is my favorite Ceasars property. We're Diamond so we can stay at any of the properties with no resort fee but we always win the most at Bally's. 🤷🏽♀️

Great video! I stayed at Ballys last July - It was amazing! Quick ?...Have u heard anything positive about the changes of the hotel to a Horseshoe? Its been in the news almost everyday for
the past 3 months. It been reported that the hotel will be renovated / remodeled in a a high end upscale Horsehoe. New resturants bars will be added. New cold color scheme / contemporary look all over. Only thing stays is the room -
apparently they were renovated 2 years ago.

I always have to get extra taziki sauce for my gyro too! I've never seen one with a tortilla and not pita bread. It looked delicious and full of meat though. When the tram went by the pool was it loud? Ballys looks like a nice place to stay. Great win on the slots! Thanks for another great video guys! I made sure andthat !
