The in camera special mechanical effects are great in the movie. As for the resin prints, those would be draining holes to get the uncured resin out of the inside of the print. The prints are made hollow, so it does not take so much expensive resin. Now Based on you planning on mounting them to a display board, I would drill holes in the bases to make sure all the uncured resin is in fact out. IPA is used to clean the resin. If there is still resin inside, one day they will start to leak "weep". It is hard but UV light threw a hole in the bottom is best to cure the resin. The resin is toxic, so wear gloves when cleaning or removing the liquid resin. The resin printers will not leave a visible print layer line, so the line artifacts you see are in the 3d mode CAD files not being set to a high enough setting. Or the original files were copied at some point in a lower setting.
Oh! Very interesting! I think I got all the resin out of the inside. There were only a couple of the figures that had resin leaking out of the holes. The UV light seemed to have cured it. I'm guessing these are files that were made from someone else and like you said, downgraded. They still look pretty good though thankfully. 😁
@johnjones3208 I heard there was a delay. I'm hearing we'll hopefully get Aibi by the end of May or even June. Seems like there's been delays in a lot of things I've ordered lately. I think they've added a few more features to Aibi and that's what caused the delays.
@outsider238 Thank you very much for the information regarding Aibi. I know this might seem strange, but I'm hoping we get him before the last week of July. I'm going England I thought it would be fun to have a traveling companion.
@@johnjones3208Oh! That would be great! He'd make a great traveling companion! 😄 I would hope that Aibi will get to all of us by that time. That's 3 months away and I wouldn't think they're that delayed... hopefully.
Oh these are cool..I like what you have done here by making them cartoon like with the paint...I've seen these for sale with the box and gun on etsy May have to get a set

The name Dum Dum (or dumdum) comes from the term to describe "expanding" bullets. They look great, you did an awesome job with the painting.
Thank you! I remember when Eddy Valiant said "Dumdums!", it got chuckles from the audience. 😅
They look great. You did a nice job painting them.
Thank you very much! 😁
You could always keep them in a fancy display box like in the movie
I've definitely thought about that! 😁
The holes are to prevent suction when the printer moves up and down or to let the air flow.
I figured they had something to do with the printing process. They were easily filled thank goodness. 😁
Oh, those are cool, i loved the film
Thank you! Yes the movie is awesome! 😁
These are fantastic and after painting will be a nice set for an collaboration. Oh! was it long ago the movie was in the theaters.
They really are very cool! It's hard to believe that movie is 36 years old! But it still holds up! 😁
@outsider238 it's a great movie. I remember seeing it at movies.
If you don't mind me asking, have you heard anything about AIBI?

@@danielsvikentjevs5832 It really is sad. I don't know what the future holds for our Vectors. 😔
