- Here is another nostalgia build from the late 80s. I built the Toon Gun from the 1988 movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Lots of different materials and processes in this build, including foam crafting, laser cutting, woodworking, resin 3D printing, painting techniques, and much more. For this build, I used: 24 mm, 10 mm, 6 mm, EVA foam, 24 mm and 48 mm EVA dowels, 1/8 inch plywood, 3d printer resin casts, acrylic sheet, posterboard, hot glue, contact cement, super glue, Plasti Dip, spray paint, rub n buff, and some Plaid FX acrylic paints. You may also need the following tools: a heat gun, a Dremel with various bits, a wood burner, Resin 3D Printer (I have the AnyCubic Photon S series), a laser cutter (I have a Glowforge), sandpaper, and an Exacto knife or box cutter. Let me know in the comments below if you would like to see more like this one, from shows, video games, or whatever. I used Daz21's bullet models from Thingiverse. Here is the link to his post:

Great job making this Toon gun.😊👍
Thanks 😊👊
The foamcraft nostalgia-movie build video! Yay! 👊😎
😁👊 they have been some of my favorite builds recently
OMG MY CHILDHOOD HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO LIFE! THIS MOVIE IS STILL ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVS!
😁👊 I reqatched it to prepare for the build and it still holds up pretty well. Such a great movie
Yoooooooooooooo I just rewatched the movie! I love this prop man it looks just like in the movie! Even the thank you from Yosemite Sam! I'm fan girling so much over this 😆
Thanks so much. I can nitpick little bits all over the place but really love the overall results. Definitely hits those happy nostalgia buttons.
This was really good. Glad the algorithm decided I should check out your videos.
Glad you liked it.
Wicked build again Thomas. I do like an expansion of the type of build and sight of other materials and techniques. Love the box also.
Trying to dabble a little outside of my comfort zone and expand my skill set. Glad you enjoyed it
Love it! Was one of my favorite movies growing up! Nicely done!
As a kid I was blown away. Made me think cartoons were real for a minute. That mix of live action and animation was superb.
Looks great. Everything from toon world has that look and this fits that aesthetic rather nicely.
There were a lot of cool props here and there that would make for some fun builds.
Absolutely loved that movie when it came out. One of my faves. And you definitely did it justice, Thomas! Used all of your skills and what you had on hand to make something epic. You rock!!!
Tha k you my friend. It was a fun one to bring back from my childhood memories. Really enjoying these nostalgia builds.
just incredible you are a perfect prop maker in the world of roger rabbit!
🤗 you're too kind. It was a fun one to piece tackle. Lots of different materials coming together in one build.
I found a plastic squirt gun at the mighty thrift, looked just like this, Thanks Thomas!
I have found some gems at the dollar store. I made a brute gun from Halo with a dollar store squirk gun and it looked pretty legit.
@Much Props well I'm slowly working through all your vids.
What a supper fun prop from start to finish! I love the variety of the builds and this another winner. Great job.
Thanks. It fun to jump around and mix it up. Just loving the process of making
I love this. Thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Brilliant! Love this film, as attested to by my Jessica tattoo lol. The SFX still hold up in 2022 IMHO
After rewatching it before building, I couldn't agree more. Such a great movie
Absolutely love this project design and video. Thanks for sharing
Thanks. It was a bit long, but kind of had to be with all I had to cram in. It was a beast to edit
I love it! All of it! That case came out beautiful
Thanks so much. That mod podge sheen is a bit mesmerizing. I have stared at it longer than I would like to admit😆
Haha this is completely amazing. Funny you mentioned the leather stain as wood stain haha I have done the same thing and you couldn't even tell haha. THIS was epic. Thank you!!
That leather stain worked like a charm. It was a lot of pieces to this build in a lot of different crafting areas. Just glad it all came together in the end.
Stunning work young sir.
Thank you very much sir.
This one came together really well. I really liked it. But the best part for me was working with what you had on hand. I'm constantly finding myself in these predicaments when building. But it usually makes it more fun
It definitely adds another layer to the project, to force creative solutions from limitations. That box is so pretty to look at. I have looked at it a lot longer than the contents inside. 😆
Really really cool. This one is really dope. 👏👏👏 good job.
Thanks. It's been popping up a lot for me in random spots so I figured why not. Glad you enjoyed it
Awesome job man, and yep that box is pretty sweeeeet :) The connections we have to these objects growing up is what makes them important and good job!
What's really nice is having them surrounding you in a room and giving you those warm nostalgia feelings everytime you sit in your mancave.
Funny that you made this video as Minty Comedic Arts just released another of his 10 things videos. This time, 10 more things about WFRR. The timing is humorous. Also, I never noticed that the hammer on the revolver was a HAMMER.
I have had a couple of strange coincidences in the past few months with build timing. I've never watched Minty Comedic Arts before you mentioned it. Seems pretty insightful
Awesome 👍😎
Thanks ✌️
Pretty cool....
Thanks
Amazing!!
Thanks!!
Good shit man
Thank you much 😁👊
Brilliant! I’ve seen real props from films and to g]be honest cosplayers put way more attention into making something look like the on screen film version! Great vid and an awesome film as well…..can’t remember who framed Roger so now I’m gonna have to watch it again!
Thank you! 😊 If I had more time I probably would have done the non metalic paint job but it was a lot to fit in one week of building. Glad you liked it.
Just came across your channel and you have a lot of content I'm gonna have to check out definitely subing. But I will say the stain on the box turned out surprisingly really nice. Hope to see more.
Well welcome aboard. I have over 450 video and upload every Friday. A good majority of the builds have free templates linked in the description of the videos. I was pleasantly surprised with the box also thanks for the sub.
I’m surprised funko hasn’t made this
I know right.
I also seem to remember reading that since the movie featured characters from both Disney and Warner Bros. studios there was sone controversy about making sure that the total amount of screen time for these characters was equal.
This was a revolutionary movie in more ways than one. So much cool stuff went into making it.
Hi much props can you make a video on how to make a Deadpool costume
Thanks for the suggestion. I currently have a full cosplay I am working on right now and two more already lined up with materials. So I don't know when or if I could
You should remake it but you should make it actually shoot
I make props, not functioning weapons. Don't know how well my channel would do with all the UA-cam restrictions nowadays.

JASON MASK PLEASSSS:0
🥇😆👊 thanks for the suggestion
@@MuchProps THANKS YOU :D
I’m planning on buying a liguid resin 3D printer. I can’t afford the printer and the curing machine at the same time. Is there a way to cure pieces without the UV machine? I heard leaving it in direct sunlight works too?
The resins a UV set so, yes it can be set out in the sunlight to cure. Hardening times would obviously vary greatly so you would need to watch it. You can also buy cheap UV laps to set you stuff under too. They make some for manicurist that are really cheap.
I can't believe I found this video. I just hand sculpted the bullets and I want to make the box to put them in but I can't find the Packards for the inside. Do you take monies for this?
Sorry, I don't. You may be able to find someone on Etsy. I sold the only one I made with this prop. You may be able to get one at a trophy making store. Or you could just cut out the shape and hand write it in black
Hi sir iam foram India can you make maharanapartap hilmat armor plz sir
Thanks for the suggestion. A maharana pratap helmet armor would be a cool historical build to try and tackle. Can't make any promises but I will definitely take a look.
I love prop building but I do not have a 3d printer can I order the bullets from u for this project I'm a huge fan of the movie
Sorry I don't really do commission work or much 3D printing at all
Could you bring a video of how to make the old version of the Kane mask from wwe? or jason voorhees?
Can't make any promises but thanks for the suggestions
