Thank you for looking at this angle.
A few weeks ago I mentioned the "units in build and dry dock' because I felt it was a very good story line.
I feel vindicated because of the HARD WORK you have done, putting stories like this together.
What an amazing vlog on UA-cam.

    THANK YOU!

Lots, they are shrouded in many layers of management dealings to ensure this privacy. They have (had?) the money to assure this privacy. I expect the private boats have owners that have enemies, and these people do not want someone taking out their grudges by sinking their pride and joy.

I’ve been subscribed for some time now… I’m a water lover so naturally a boat enthusiast as well so I instantly became hooked for all the outstanding no b.s. yachting videos you were making. I say that only to show that after following you from back WELL before the sad turn of events in Eastern Europe, I have seen quite a bit of your content and I had to share that midway through this video I became quite impressed. It was clear as day how you’re really working harder than ever and doing a great deal of investigating to bring us all the information that you do. Not to say you didn’t put great time and care before… just that now you’re going above and beyond. One of the few channels bringing trustworthy info on current events without any political bias as well. And I know it’s not just myself that appreciates it. So on behalf of us all.. Thank You 🙏🏻. You’re efforts are noticed and You are very much appreciated. You deserve ten times the subs you have now. I hope one day that becomes a reality. Safe travels my friend 🤙🏻

8:59 At first Heesen was denied - by the Dutch Court - to buy out this Russian because the notary representing him refused to cooperate. Later on, the Heesen board managed to persuade the notary that the offer was fair and in the best interest of both parties. For un unknown sum, Alekperov was bought out. Heesen financed this with - in their own words - a VERY long 0% interest loan. Given the ever going profitably of the company it was probably financed in-house. Good"!

I guess Nord could be out in international waters to change ownership and avoid the tax liability. The transfers are always done outside 12nm.
But also, she did have a number of dry docks after she was built so maybe she has technical issues requiring more sea trials.

I've done a few ownership transfers on merchant vessels. But those just happen in port. new crew shows, old crew goes, captains sign a piece of paper and done. Probably loads of paper pushing also happens between the offices, but the actual transfer is the moment the captains sign.

Vladivostock to Busan was a 'normal' route prior to pandemic times. No way they would go there now - 1) pandemic is still on and docking would involve many bureaucratic hassles; and 2) South Koreans are very loyal to the West and would respect the sanctions. Very interested to see where that ship goes in Asia - my best best is Sakhalin!

And get stuck when the port freezes over? Also does sakhalin have the infrastructure to handle superyachts?

@@blyat7276 Considering that these photos are the FIRST ever of the vessel (Luminance) & it looks nothing like the vessel depicted in the thumbnail, especially as the helideck on Luminance is on her fourth deck....I totally disagree

This will be the first of many issues, all the world's yachts need fuel and stores on a regular basis but all the seized or arrested vessels will not get it. This will leave lots of supplies companies round the world will commercial issues. Is anyone looking after any of the vessels to be sure that they don't sink at their moorings due to rain and bilge ingress.

Nord is now being crewed by the Russian Secret Service, and they stopped to search for the Operating Manual.

Just one question: Why doesn't the UK design and build superyachts?

So why doesn't the court in Fiji just get a crew member to testify. They would then have to disclose the owner regardless of any NDA as the legal requirement would surely overule the NDA.
