Having been in the Coast Guard myself, I like the Safe Boat style law enforcement vibe of this boat. Everything about this boat screams the highest design and build qualities.
@@campandcook3118 Even if the camera is radiating 'extra' heat, it's not coming into the lens the way you are imagining. It does not matter what color you paint a flir camera, or if you wrap it in aluminum foil, or whatever tf you want to do it... As long as the lens is not obstructed, it's fine. What you don't want, is any surfaces (like a white base or interior around the lens) reflecting light into the lens.
@@n0madtv I've worked extensively with flir camera integrations, most of the time to check mechanical and electrical parts during tests and regular checks during operation. Your entirely wrong, the camera sensor inside the camera needs to be as cold as possible. The warmer the sensor, the less sensitivity and contrast you will have. Try it yourself, light a candle and see from how far your hand feels the heat source. Then stick it in ice water, dry it, then hold it slowly closer to the candle. A cold hand feels the difference between room temperature and radiation from the candle farther away. Sensors are either cooled by a fan, liquid or passive. With active cooling, you can see that the contrast increases with lower sensor temperature. A black housing in direct sunlight can reach temperatures over 100C - that's why most maritime housings are reflective white.
@@campandcook3118 Right, because the temperature of the sealed internals can get that hot. It has absolutely nothing to do with the color of the external housing (in most cases). A camera like this will have solid state cooling inside with the housing thermally insulated up to a specified temperature. Marine camera's are usually white because literally everything marine is usually white. ALL thermal cameras have non-reflective black material around the lens and any surface that might reflect towards the lens, even when designed for daylight use. Any form of insulation is more than enough to negate color related absorption. They are also primarily intended for use at night and in foggy/low-vis conditions. Running a thermal like this during the day is pointless unless you're scanning for a Man Overboard or something of that nature. If it's not a cheap housing, there is no reason it can't be any color you want. A black housing will absorb infrared and radiate the heat back out! It does not conduct heat into the internals.
There are several things to know about boats. 1) They are expensive 2) The 2 happiest days in a boaters life is the day you buy it and the day you sell it. 3) They can and do sink.
I have one of the earliest foam collered Aluminum hulls like this . It was at Seattle Boat in Kingdome with a puny OB 35 Jet motor, I opted for a prop . Used to be the only one on Puget Sound , only a 15’ but have been to Swiftsure Bank from Neah Bay and also blasted down to LaPush on same day for a total of 135 miles on trip meter . Used to fish Lingcod and Blackmouth salmon with Bill Hanson or alongside at Southworth , Manchester and Blake Island in the 90’s . Still have it in storage, almost time to get back out there . I admit to multi engine envy though. Only a single 120 hp V-4 on the 15’ center console prototype I help build when new . Nice lines on this boat , the ability to stand everywhere makes the stability bolted to sides make sense. Mine is 30 + years old and looks pretty much like when I towed it home from work.
Have you guys done any installations that have a way to offer more privacy in the main cabin for night, like PDLC windows? The big open windows are beautiful for daytime, but overnight in a marina, I'd want a little more privacy at night when everyone can see right in.
My gawd, what a BEAUTIFUL boat!!! I love the practicality and durability of the the overall design. and the fit and finish of every little detail is just perfect. This is a work of art.
This would be great for cruising the snake/Columbia river on. Price must be a bit much for my budget. But I do like the boat. I would ad a few options he doesn’t have as I would be living on it for several months.
that will be my next dinghy...just joking...this is such a neat ergonomic user friendly boat, great design, perfect finish, SMART!! absolutely smart...compliments to the designers and craftsmen...
I like this type of boat but the most important part is the material standard, material type, thickness, and welding material using what connection process, has it been tested NDT or not? how many supporting bones are in the boat hull and others. if the features are good enough for this boat
I love this boat. Wonder if the cabin could be made larger as in a little longer. Giving up some aft deck space. We need something we could be out on without re-supply for a couple weeks. With the exception of fuel. We'd want the biggest tanks possible.
i don't know why this recommended to me or why i'm watching but i can't stop
the system detected that you are rich!

Except the flir camera. It takes a special kind of "genius" to paint a heat sensitive camera black...

Buddy as a fellow Coastie that legit just screams properly made 33’ interceptor that is missing it’s 3rd engine.
This isn’t a boat, it’s a freaking jewelry box! Gorgeous.
People in other boats will be counting life vests and grabbing fishing licenses whenever you're heading in their direction.
Lol!
All aboard....! 😅😉😎✌🏼
I was thinking that also a great way to blend in with law enforcement maybe they will think your one of them so they wont bother you as much
the Crown Vic of boats..
hahahahahahaah damn. so smooth.
Oh my. The solidness of everything - deck, hinges, doors, drawers,... Wow!
I don't know anything about boats, but I like this one.

this is the production value these boats deserve. beautiful craftmanship
Thank you!
so well thought out and all those welds are beautiful
Thank you!
This looks like the airstream of the boating world. Love it.
Beautifully engineered and laid out. I really like the cockpit seat/lockers.
This is the reason I can't drink while watching the home shopping channel.
That is a killer boat. First time seeing them. Totally impressed.
Not only is this an awesome looking boat, but the water there at the Marina was like glass!!!!!!!!
The perfect boat for all kinds of fun
never a dull video, I love how these boats are configured to the buyer, you guys never disappoint.
Thank you!
We agree.. We have been rubbing nickels...
This is a well built boat.. Great craftsmanship and ideas put into this design
This is literally the crown vic of the water.
What a boat, love the engineering, really beautiful. Also my compliments for your presentation, well done!
Just a ridiculously nice boat and clearly is as rugged as it is good looking . Big points for that...
I gotta say, the excellent weld beads always catch my eyes. At the bow, cockpit, anywhere I see it, I automatically give it a mental thumbs up 👍👍👍👍👍
Those welds look beautiful... whether machine or man made, they simply look amazing.
Wish I'd had this boat when I lived down in Corpus for 35yrs!
Best walk-throughout, #1 in the industry!
Nomad boat is Beast...Love the metal plate and the welded corner in every angle. Look and sound so strong and Firm. Good Job
Awsome boat. Probably my favorite vessel of its size.
Nice setup but does it come with screens I didn't see any screens on the side windows when they're open
Very cool. Not sure how I feel about the bathroom in the same place as the bedroom but there's only so much space on the boat
Nice boat, and very nice welds!!
I love these boats, and love watching the videos. Im on Nantucket and I need this pocket performance yacht

I have to say, I love the welding, looks pro, sturdy and actually sweet spots the design ;-)
check those weld lines. amazing artwork
Coolest boat I've seen yet
What a beautiful boat ! 🚢

I am not sure anyone is making better boats than these guys...seriously. Nicely done.
Check out “Brabus shadow 500”
Galeon!!! ❤
Micah, great job with the video!
1.5 mpg how big is the fuel tank?
Lol! Love the Nordhavn 50 in the background ❤
What a beautiful boat ⛵,
They outdone themselves on this one.exelent boat.
très joli bateau ⛵. Merci beaucoup pour cette vidéo
Lovely looking boat, and I am impressed by its speed, I was coxswain on FRB's for many years and this boat has a similar top speed.
I could live in that comfortably. Nice video!
They managed to pack a lot into a small package. I wonder how much it cost?
You mentioned customizable. Does that include inboard options with jet drives and an extended platform on the stern for diving?
Well done guys. Really well thought out and great looking product that was presented really well. Be proud.
man, I love this boat! It makes me wish that I lived near the coast.
Nice rig! Great walkthrough.
Nice design work Bill Hansen!
The boat is amazing! I also love the Icthus on your badge 24:45 !
Man this boat is absolutely amazing.
That would be the perfect boat for exploring up the NW coast. If only I could afford one....lol. Dare to dream I guess.
Dream big
Actually pretty sweet, in Alaska for sockeye season we had to stay under 32 feet so you can put a lot of boat in that amount of space. 😊
My gawd, what a BEAUTIFUL boat!!! I love the practicality and durability of the the overall design. and the fit and finish of every little detail is just perfect. This is a work of art.
Beautiful ,Amazing set up
This boat is gorgeous 🤩
Awesome walkthrough
So much thought has gone into that boat. Bravo
That boat is beautiful. Just perfect.
Wouldn't need heat but AC is a must have. Is that a option ?
Yes absolutely. We can do either a small built-in generator or lithium power pack to power the AC system.
Very impressive boat. Not sure if it could sell in Northern Europe, mostly inboard engines here, and high fuel prices, so 95% diesels.
not for long. Diesels going away
This would be great for cruising the snake/Columbia river on. Price must be a bit much for my budget. But I do like the boat. I would ad a few options he doesn’t have as I would be living on it for several months.
How big of a compressor do you need to keep that thing inflated
COME WITH PATCH KIT ?
Big waves could enter into from door?
that will be my next dinghy...just joking...this is such a neat ergonomic user friendly boat, great design, perfect finish, SMART!! absolutely smart...compliments to the designers and craftsmen...
Fantastic!! 👏 Any videos available on those aluminium welds? They look amazing
This things awesome. What a machine. 60 mph. This beautiful boat is a freakin beast. How many of these do they sell, I wonder.
Where do I see it perform in heavy sea trials?
I like it... I live in a wintery place.. can this handle cold weather?
excellent features and really good fitup and weld quality! some of the best I´ve seen.
Beautiful! Wish we could have one in yellow.
Is it for people whose daily driver is a Crown Vic?
dude this thing is freaking amazing.
comment of the hull pls
. material, strength, thickness. how to clean , storage info…. thanks for the film. lots of preparation for it
Very very good interaction and nice man

Great work!
Your boats are awesome!
I really like this kind of boat! If I ever find some money, I'd definitely get something like this
Looks like we'll be sharing the same waters... looking forward to crossing paths!
This is a wonderful build absolutely gorgeous
Very well shown!
The Crown Vic of the water
Beautiful build!
Love it! I need one.
Great job 👏
How far does the camera zoom out to? Or how far out can objects be seen?
if I were to get a boat! This is the one.
Great review
Me: gazing with wide admiring eyes at the Nordhavn right behind the opening shot - yes that's the one for me.
really cool boat
Stunning boat. Great work
Check the bead on those welds....what utterly beautiful work, just a true tear-jerker.
wonder if they have stabilizers for the boat.
Magnificent boat!
Beautifully appointed boat. Engines have to be custom painted or black. White looks like an eyesore
This boat is sick
Look at this incredible Innovation I can move my finger and it moves the camera oh my God
Great vessel 🚢

If you don’t need fish storage I figure they can extend the tanks into that space.
