If you wanna go straight to the countdown because you hate fun, it starts at 3:26 :-P
who tf hates that
Dude I use to buy knock off godzilla toys at the local swap meets and i miss those those things
Nope. Not clicking that! I love fun 😅
Don't do it, he'll call you a jerk!!
Why skip? I rather see the whole thing because it is hilarious. And also the Instagram posts thing is so relatable as well.🤣. However, I did have a little situation that happened too. But it was resolved. Anyways thank you for the this video and looking forward to the next.
This being an MIB video is all the click-bait I needed. "Click-Bait" herself is just a bonus!
Myesss.
@GojiraUltimaGaming Her character is a bit of an ingrate, isn't she?
Fun fact: clickbait is mibs real girlfriend
It’s called acting in a skit, that’s why. Seriously man relax.
God, that end argument was like every Myspace argument I ever had with a friend back in the day. "why did you not like this, why did you not reply to this". "Who is this person in your top 10, do they mean more than me!" Oh man haha, that brought back some nightmares lol. So glad I stay away from the social media stuff anymore lol.
Anyhoo, nice to see the return of CB. You guys have a good repertoire with your script style. Nice work as always :)
Where were you for the last year?
Hey J w good to see you're still here
@@simonhassnilsson7009 Still just kick around. Unfortunately with my promotion at work I do 12 hour days. So any day I get off I pretty much sleep. Not exactly the best schedule for doing anything UA-cam related lol!
@@ikaiju-eu9wn Promotion at work. 12 hour days. Had a friend going through some tough times so I had to help out the off days I got. And taking care of older relatives. Doesn't really leave a lot of time for video stuff. I'm lucky to get any art done I want haha.
@@mgkiryuu I'm waiting for World's Greatest Monsters: Titanosaurus *APRIL FOOLS MOTHERFUCKERS*
Clickbait is a lie, because Clickbait is actually pretty darned good at her role.
She must have based her performance off dee from it’s always sunny cause she acts extremely similar to dee
@@mediaultra3178 Who is Dee?
@@dubuyajay9964 Deez nuts
@@minygoji2.057 Of course. You're a bit late tho.
MIB: I feel like you and me are gonna do this show for a long time.
Me: Aw that's ni-
NEXT TIME: THE FINAL EPISODE OF MIB'S TOP 5
Me: Fuck.
It’s great to see CB, again; she’s always hilarious. The intro was somehow even funnier than a grown man in a Godzilla mask, driving a Power Wheels jeep.
Clickbait x MIB
The most investing "will-they/won't-they" of our time.
Clickbait X MIB
The fact he uses the gorosaurus voice when saying gorosaurus is just legendary
"That's wut happened!"
OML I SEE U EVERYWHERE
Clickbait’s back!!! Yes!!!
The amount of research and effort that went into this video is amazing, and down right inspiring! I gotta know more!
Like several of the 50+ year old fans here, I owned (and, of course, built) that Aurora kit. As it was around 1974 or 75, it was the "glow in the dark" version. I "think" the kit supplied both regular color tinted parts as well as GitD pieces for the head, jaw, hands, feet, tail and dorsal spines, but I can't recall which pats I selected. I do recall after my father and I moved from a townhouse, two floor apartment into a proper "house" in 1975, my dad set up a platform in the garage, a huge slab of plywood supported upon saw horses where I could set up and play with an electric train set. You can probably guess where this is going.
Yes, I would have my assembled Godzilla model (not glued to the display base) "attack" the train and the accessories of buildings I gradually accumulated. To simulate Godzilla's atomic breath, I "pinched" a can of my father's spray-on deodorant called "Brut" (pronounced "brute"). No, I didn't ignite the expelling vapor, certainly not in the garage as my father would have whipped me with a belt. No, the contents escaped in a dense white "fog" intended to "paint" one's armpits. There's a bit of irony. I pretended it was "fire" as I had not yet actually seen a Godzilla movie. I only knew of the "King of the Monsters" through popular culture, so I thought he belched flame like a dragon. The aerosol antiperspirant was far more screen accurate than I realized at the time!
The kit also confused me when I finally got to see the original film (well, "King of the Monsters" with the Raymond Burr inserts). You see, the "narrative" blurb printed on the first page of the assembly instructions claimed Godzilla was vanquished by a kind of "deus ex machina" provided by Nature. After human built weapons failed to stop the monster, a convenient earthquake split open the ground and Godzilla plummeted to his doom, rather like the 1984 movie. But I had this kit in the mid 70s! I have no idea why Aurora decided to printed that. So, later when I had access to better and more detailed information about the actual movie, I sat there wondering, "But the Aurora kit stated a very different fate!"
Oh, I also got the Rodan and the King Ghidrah kits (which I think were "snap" kits that did not need glue) probably around 1976.
I can now relive a bit of my childhood. Today (2022-01-06), I purchased the Godzilla kit, now distributed through Atlantis Models. Like the 70s version, it has the "glow in the dark" extra parts (which Aurora originally marketed as "Frightening Lightning" and uses the box art to reflect that version. the instruction sheet even still has the same narrative about Godzilla plummeting into an earthquake fissure. (Glad to learn I actually read that and it was not simply a distorted memory of my youth.) Looking at the destroyed buildings of the display base, this Goji is along the size of "Godzilla Earth"! I may extract some LEDs from some cheap electronic "tea lights" and use them to simulate fires raging within the crumbling structures.
I grew up on the island of Kauai, so the opportunity getting any good toys were limited in the 80’s. I did have some knock off Godzilla toys that we got from Woolworth’s. One was a purple Godzilla where his dorsal plates where shaped like shark fins, and a Gigan that had one fin on his back, two eyes, two fingers and two toes instead of the hook claws. They were what I had so I remember them fondly.
Ah yes, the Imperials. They came in a variety of colors. My Godzilla is blue and Gigan is yellow. I've seen the Godzilla green as well as Gigan and purple for Gigan as well.
The Return of Clickbait
That giant rodan toy is AMAZING. I would go crazy running around my yard doing his roar over and over again flapping his wings.
Never too old for a fun toy.
I remember I made my own Godzilla wooden figures, and you bet I had bloody hands wenn sculpting it😂
You ok? D:
@@dubuyajay9964 well it was the time when I was a starter at it…
heh, I remember having a friend nag at me for not liking their post on facebook. I saw the post but didn't do anything until we talked in person. I told them the post was cool but they got uppity about me not commenting or liking the post. Whole time it had me thinking 'Why are you so fixated on not getting my internet comment when I'm standing right here?!?!'. I like social media, but when it comes to socializing people like to keep their distance. lol
This is awesome I love learning about the King of the Monsters history in media such as this! Thanks for the awesome content!
Awesome video man! A bunch of these figures/toys I've never even herd of, great research! That huge Rodan figure is freaking cool! My first memories with Godzilla figures was with the large and small imperial figures in the early 90s and in the mid 90s the trendmasters figures, great innocent times!
I saw Clickbait and clicked on the notification as fast as I could.
MIB you just earned yourself a sub
Growing up, a buddy of mine had the Shogun Warrior Godzilla, and he *refused* to sell it to me. Like, ever, even after he grew out of liking toys. Hell, I think he threw it out just to spite me. So I finally, like, 20 years later, got one on eBay. I sure showed him :P
At 8:37, I guess the watcher is watching some middle aged man talk about dinosaur toys. Nice
Nice, someone spotted it
12:13 i love how Godzilla just goes "blep"
Fun video MIB!!! It's great to see the beginnings of Godzilla merch and it's nice to see it going strong today!!! Also, Great to see clickbait return, Hi Sarah!!!!
SHE RETURNS!!!
Haven’t watched MIB in a long time, after watching this, I can see why I loved these videos.
Daww welcome back
@@MonsterIslandBuddies It’s good to be back man
I HOPED you'd cover Mattel's Godzilla with the Shogun Warriors!
I wanted one so bad when I was 11 years old!
Yay Clickbait Is back and it's a toy video awesomeness
Yeah! This one felt sorta like a Top 5/Playtime hybrid
@@MonsterIslandBuddies yeah I can agree with that
10:46 lol nice Mattel Rex going
The 1st toy I can actually remember getting for Christmas was the shogun godzilla in 1980. Rodan followed that year for my birthday. I still have the pictures of me unwrapping and playing with them
I still have my Godzilla from the Godzilla Gang collection. I’ve had him since I was 8 and of all toys in my collection, that one has the most sentimental value.
This video was definitely far more fun to watch than building the Aurora kit yesterday. Goddamn, I understand that the reissues are supposed to be authentic to the original but I DEFINITELY wouldn't mind if they added pegs to it.
Does anyone remember the big Godzilla toy the kid played with in Godzilla vs. Hedorah? The one he pushed down the slide?
Not sure if it was real or not, but I’d love to find out what it was or where it was made (if it wasn’t just for the movie).
It's real, but I'm not exactly sure what the name of it is.
I keep waiting to see the godzilla that my dad gave me, I am so excited! I was 4 and on a dinosaur kick, so when mom wasn't home, dad would watch HIS godzilla vhs tapes with me and even gave me his figure to watch them with! Son of godzilla, godzilla vs mechagodzilla, vs sea monster and more. To this day, when I watch a movie that I have figures for, I will line them up so that they can see their origins :3
Growing up in America in the 1970's, there were really only two widely available Godzilla toys. Mattel's Shogun Godzilla and the Aurora Glow kit. I had them both and since reacquired them. Those Ben Cooper Halloween costumes were huge, but I never saw anyone with Godzilla. Then again, there were HUNDREDS of those cheap mask/tunic combinations. In NY we had the WABC7 themed movie weeks, afternoons at 4:30. Every week a different theme. Planet of the Apes one week, Universal Horror or Hammer Edgar Allan Poe the next. But on Japanese Monster Week the streets were deserted. I always remember Godzilla/Kaiju in the fall, beginning of the school year....
It's nice to see this series make a return
Keep up the good work on the videos
According to the heart he will
Honestly I've actually wanted to see the first made Godzilla toys
Why do I get the feeling the unaired videos aren’t unaired but were made for this video.
Hey MIB,I really dig the classical music selection for this episode man! Really added some class to your already cool show 😎
Every time I watch one of your Top 5' or your Playtime videos, I always spot and try to name each of the toys in your collection.
I use to have Godzilla action figures from the 2000's of Godzilla (1954, 2001, & final wars), Burning Godzilla, Gigan, King Ghidorah, Angurius, Rainbow Mothra along with mini action figures of Godzilla (1954), Burning Godzilla, Gigan, Mothra, Mortha Larvae, Manda, and Aggregate Destoryah.
As a huge Universal Monster fan, I knew immediately you were about to talk about the Aurora kits when I heard Swan Lake.
I love Marusan, I have a few re-releases and smaller figures based on those old releases, and they're genuinely fantastic!!
Funny story I got the shogun godzilla from my uncle's old toy box and didnt find out how rare it was till like 3 years ago
Am I able to set up an appointment with the Legal line
I love this channel its awesome
Great history lesson dude! Jealous of your Jumbosaurus! I finally got an original 1966 Marusan Godzilla last year, I even got to bring it to Marusan headquarters when I interviewed their CEO. It was magical.
Wow!!! Amazing 🤩
@@MonsterIslandBuddies you can see the OG sofubi hanging out in the old toy district of Asakusa and most of the interview with Marusan’s CEO, here: ua-cam.com/video/XdcapcefjUM/v-deo.html
I had the Godzilla Game, Aurora kit, Shogun, and Puzzle as a kid! Man, I feel old!
(And welcome back Click Bait!)
9:16 can we get more Godzilla stuff like this? That would be awesome. I just thought of a toy line with that concept, it’s called Kaiser cyborg monsters, it has Godzilla monsters with special weapons and powers, like the shogun warriors toy line, add some other toho properties and mix it with elements gunpla and transformer concept art and boom, that’s the idea.
5:37 I can tell that's the Flatiron because of the "Fire at Will Part 1" sequence from Godzilla 1998.
That RAIDS AGAIN art is FIRE!!!!
MIB we will always be here for you to make you happy and we will never leave you if you feel sad or sick or something else
Never really had much in terms of toys, thought I think I ended up with a 3 color tone giant plastic Godzilla that seemed like a bigger version of those early ones. Oh and I saw a lady shuffle out of a local walmart with all 5 of the store exclusive giant blue funko pops for Godzilla vs kong. She had one in her arms and the rest she was scooting with her legs.
EPIC VIDEO
10 years ago i saw the wired remote control figures at a indoor flea market. I wish i couldve got them
Love the use of the swan song whatever it’s called
I dunno, I still like the Trendmasters Godzilla toys from the 1990's. I had the Godzilla bendy, a Godzilla figurine, and Biollante.
My first Godzilla toy was a 15 inch bandai Godzilla Final wars 2004 Godzilla figure and my dad had the show gun Godzilla toy
6:00 SWAN LAKE/OPENING TO DRACULA- * ack!* * cough* * clears throat* ...I mean I recognize that music... Heh.
It just dawned on that Clickbait is Sarah Pribis, who used to host HQ. She seems so much happier in these videos ironically enough.
I had that Shogun Godzilla toy. He smashed up my GI Joes but didn't stand a chance against my BB Gun. I was a dummy.
I actually still have my shogun warriors godzilla. The ugly face one. Tbh put into art the design could be cool with larger spines
How much did those Shogun Warriors Godzilla and Rodan cost you? The prices online are astronomical.
My first few Godzilla toys I got were from my step dad he got me into Godzilla and among other things he got me a Godzilla toy and mothra and dastroya and a Godzilla unleashed and save the earth then I stumble into your UA-cam shows and now I’m an even huger fan your the best MIB!
I had both godzilla and mecha godzilla back in the 90s and I gave them away. Biggest mistake I ever made
My favorite old school Godzilla toy is the child-size Godzilla blow up doll. I don't know its official name. Anyway I had it when I was a kid and fought it all the time. Then one day I guess I "won" the fight and popped him or something.
6:48 I remember seeing the one on the right at the flea market yesterday but I sadly didn't buy it.
It reminds me of that godzilla figure made in 1984 or 1985, I forgot what company made it though😅
You know, I’d like to see you do a video talking about the history of bandai vinyl figures like the Movie Monster Series line. I grew up with those figures, my first one was a Bandai Creation Wave 1 Godzilla 1954 I found at a KB Toys at my local mall when I was 4. Seeing all this interesting history behind Godzilla merch and Trendmasters figures you’ve been posting lately, it’s made me wonder how things like the Movie Monster Series figures came to be and if there are any cancelled prototypes that exist of figures such as a Final Wars 6-8inch Zilla figure I heard was cancelled.
Wait, no more click bait could be a good thing, after reading this videos comments and seeing just how entertaining her role was, who knows, she may be upgraded! Like co-host?! Assistant manager?! Assistant to the MIB manager?!
Am I the only one who hates when people actually do that? They're upset and they be so vague about it and ask for an apology, when you can do that if they freaking tell you what the problem is so it can be resolved
1:55 open space godzilla out of the packcage
Monster island but if this is the best when I get to see all my monster friends
Knickerbocker made those stuffies, huh? I gotta go through my stuff and pull them out.
Can't decide which one I liked more. Drunk CB. High CB. Or F-U CB!
Okay. Your sense of humor is superb. Subscribe.
Aw thanks! And welcome :)
Well this was a really good history lesson with Godzilla toys. Learned a lot here.
Where did you get that pikachu with mechagodzilla armor from?
I think the Rodan toy is the best
16:05 when ever a video ends
Not sure if you have touched on these or not, but you should check out some of the crazy ass Polish godzilla movie posters. Some really intense looking artwork!
Yes
Geez, that Rodan costs over a grand now! Yo, DinoDrac shoutout!
Wait Top 5 is gonna be over?! Aw man!
0:41 MECHAGODZILLA PIKACHU!
This would be a awesome series following the history of Godzilla licensing
I stayed for the shenanigans, yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay
Suprised MIB didnt talk about imperial Godzilla, either way awesome video
Mib you should do a review on Godzilla battle line
if only all this merch wasn't rare and pricey (if it's even still available somewhere) I'd probably get something just for the sake of getting it
Clickbait got me to click!!! Gimmick is a success!!! 😂
Certainly I can’t be the only one who went and checked whether or not Clickbait’s Instagram was real 😳
I literally clicked because of her. Good job.
Yes a new top 5 list video returned sweet
YES MIB TOP 5
I think I prefer the other version of the jumbo Godzilla the one the was released in the sun go worriers line. It’s taller and doesn’t have a roar that makes me wanna TAER my ears off! I just think it’s better than original version.
Great video I got to say how is leaving all the dislike on the video if you don't like it don't push dislike
The best kind of Clickbait!
Ayo that soft vinyl Godzilla has a bootleg wich is cheap
