I know they made a massive downgrade to the scenarios, but I still think it's pretty impressive to see this game running on hardware that's already 11 years old, not to mention that I didn't expect it to run well considering how it ran on the Xbox Series, PS5 and PC at launch (heck, the game hasn't even received a 60fps patch on the Series S yet), but it's running surprisingly well. It's very interesting to see that the PS4/XONE isn't suffering from the same problem that the PS3/X360 had with late cross-gen ports, COD Black Ops 3 and Shadow of Mordor were horrible on the PS3/X360 for example.

Xbox 360 and PS3 were already very obsolete by 2015, just saying that they had 512mb of ram when the PS4 and Xbox One had up to 8gb of ram and PCs from 16 to 32. Even so, it is impressive to see that the games continue to look very good on 11 year old consoles

And you also have to keep in mind that the PlayStation 4 isn’t the newest console anymore. This means that the game looks damn good even on an 11-year-old console. I also have high standards, especially on the PS5. But on the PS4, I don’t. And for the game to perform so well and look so good, it’s truly incredible.
honestly, yes, after 11 years is still impresive how good it still looks, i remember when ps3 turn the same age in the first years of the ps4 life cycle, the games that still launch in the two consoles shows the ps3 version look really horrible, one of those was call of duty black ops 3, and many more, with resolutions way below 720p and really choppy framerates where in many cases maintain a 20fps trend and even below, crysis 3 for example runs really really bad, almost like a slide shoot.
With Patch 9 on PC it really shows how much they had to optimize the game on the CPU to get it to even work on PS4. Glad to see the worst part, Koboh running well as that used to be the problem spot in the game when it came to CPU performance

@@ColdFear6666 the game is more than playable now and even before then it was fine on a 4090. So you’re wrong then. The main issue was CPU related so now that it’s gone it runs dramatically better. My 3060 can get far higher frame rates thanks to that improvement with CPU

When I played GTA V on PS3 I never thought about the graphics (I knew PS4 was better) but I enjoyed it a lot at the time back in 2016, so I'm sure PS4 users will enjoy Jedi Survivor a lot. There's a lot of thought put into graphics these days, so much so that people don't seem to care about gameplay or story anymore, that's why it's so hard to find good games like RDR2.
I mean if you like playing games at 30fps on an old 1080p T.V from 2010 you bought from walmart so be it, but I personally wouldn’t talk about it publicly

I play all my games in a 4k LG Oled with my ps5 and PC. There is a big difference when it comes to resolution/clarity, textures and smoothness.
When I was playing Jedi fallen order on ps4 slim, I finished the story and started completing the other things, on zeffo while I was exploring I saved on the broken Venator I think and the next time I played then saved my place on another place but always kept coming back to the venator place and lost all my progress. I did this around 6 times so I got mad and quit playing

The way this game launched as a next gen exclusive experience for them to release it older consoles a yr later is insidious. And i believe Mortal Kombat 1 did the exact same scam but somehow managed to get it on the switch and not on the PS4 & XB1

The game received several patches that drastically improved performance on Xbox Series X and PS5 and can now run at 60fps without problems. Unfortunately, the Xbox Series S did not receive the same treatment, the game has remained at 30fps since launch.
the 60fps mode on PS5 about a year ago got a patch that removed RT, and in return from the extra GPU headroom they were able to raise internal resolution closer to 1080p, increased the foliage density to better match quality mode, and runs (mostly) locked to 60. if you've played the game before one of the final areas before the 3rd act still runs in the 50s it felt to me, with the screen tearing at the top still way better than launch, it's playable now. biggest issue right now to me is the bad white flicker on culled objects when turning the camera, it's everywhere and has to be patched

Looks like they intentionally removed a lot of foliage just to maintain the idea of the ps5 being superior - in reality, ghost of tsushima running on a base ps4 looks 10x better than this Jedi survivor running on the ps5 on quality mode
This is bs. Ghost of Tsushima has super simple graphics, textures and scenery. Just look at some cheap rocks or how holz looks in this game. Open world games look cheap compared to Jedi Survivor. It's looks like a copy paste Indie game, exaggerated worded. You like color popping and unnatural style, it also has some way too strong contrast in some some scenes. Jedi Survivor is another league visually and fidelity wise.

Colega,não existente essa diferença absurda no hardware entre o ps4 e o ps5,VC tem noção que entre o ps3 e o ps4 saiu de 512mb de RAM para 8gb,e mais do que 15 vezes a quantidade de RAM de uma geração para outra,enquanto o ps5 somente dobrou essa quantidade de RAM,mesmo em poder bruto de processamento o one X já vinha com 6 teraflops contra 10 do ps5 , não existe um abismo entre esses 2 hardwares ,diferente quando comparamos o ps3 com o ps4 . La verdad que la PS4 se ve muy bien, más aun teniendo en cuenta que es una máquina que salió hace 10 años. Con respecto a la PS5, desde hace poco me pase a PS5 y la diferencia más notable para mi fue pasar a 60fps... no le encuentro sentido a usar el "modo calidad" cuando la diferencia en muchos juegos es casi mínima. Hay juegos que te dejan cambiar sobre el momento entre un modo y otro, y haciendo capturas y comparando luego, te das cuenta que por una luz que tiña de mas, o una sombra más difuminada, sirve mucho más correr el mismo juego a 60fps... se nota MUCHO la diferencia entre 60fps y 30fps en mundos abiertos.

I think this just shows that graphics have almost reached the limit. They should focus on making the CPU really powerful with the PS6 rather than GPU, and just let PSSR do the upscaling job. I don't even think most games on the PS5 currently need that much GPU power.

Aviso al personal que la versión de PS4 trae dos discos y no es necesario conexión a internet como pasaba en la versión de PS5 que tenías que descargar la mitad del juego obligatoriamente. Mínimo pide 65 GB.

Graphics look nice and don't look that far off from the current-gen version and frame-rate is steady, at least in this footage, but load times that go over the one minute mark and the resolution fixed at 720p... Yikes.
It's interesting that the pro model seems to have a lower lod distance compared to base, usually it's exactly the same but higher res on pro, bug perhaps?

It's a lot like the Hogwarts Legacy PS4/XBone port. Lots of sacrifices to geometry and lighting but not to the degree that the game isn't recognizable

the 60fps mode on PS5 about a year ago got a patch that removed RT, and in return from the extra GPU headroom they were able to raise internal resolution closer to 1080p, increased the foliage density to better match quality mode, and runs (mostly) locked to 60. if you've played the game before one of the final areas before the 3rd act still runs in the 50s it felt to me, with the screen tearing at the top
still way better than launch, it's playable now. biggest issue right now to me is the bad white flicker on culled objects when turning the camera, it's everywhere and has to be patched
This is why PS4 will continue getting games. They could've downgraded the graphics even more and most people would still be fine with that.
They said that this game wouldn't run in the last generation. And look, it runs. I keep asking myself, how many other games from this generation are in the same situation?

Looks like they intentionally removed a lot of foliage just to maintain the idea of the ps5 being superior - in reality, ghost of tsushima running on a base ps4 looks 10x better than this Jedi survivor running on the ps5 on quality mode
This is bs. Ghost of Tsushima has super simple graphics, textures and scenery. Just look at some cheap rocks or how holz looks in this game. Open world games look cheap compared to Jedi Survivor. It's looks like a copy paste Indie game, exaggerated worded. You like color popping and unnatural style, it also has some way too strong contrast in some some scenes. Jedi Survivor is another league visually and fidelity wise.

Colega,não existente essa diferença absurda no hardware entre o ps4 e o ps5,VC tem noção que entre o ps3 e o ps4 saiu de 512mb de RAM para 8gb,e mais do que 15 vezes a quantidade de RAM de uma geração para outra,enquanto o ps5 somente dobrou essa quantidade de RAM,mesmo em poder bruto de processamento o one X já vinha com 6 teraflops contra 10 do ps5 , não existe um abismo entre esses 2 hardwares ,diferente quando comparamos o ps3 com o ps4 .
Mesmo depois de 11 anos a diferença de hardware entre os consoles não tao absurda assim.

La verdad que la PS4 se ve muy bien, más aun teniendo en cuenta que es una máquina que salió hace 10 años. Con respecto a la PS5, desde hace poco me pase a PS5 y la diferencia más notable para mi fue pasar a 60fps... no le encuentro sentido a usar el "modo calidad" cuando la diferencia en muchos juegos es casi mínima. Hay juegos que te dejan cambiar sobre el momento entre un modo y otro, y haciendo capturas y comparando luego, te das cuenta que por una luz que tiña de mas, o una sombra más difuminada, sirve mucho más correr el mismo juego a 60fps... se nota MUCHO la diferencia entre 60fps y 30fps en mundos abiertos.

I think this just shows that graphics have almost reached the limit. They should focus on making the CPU really powerful with the PS6 rather than GPU, and just let PSSR do the upscaling job. I don't even think most games on the PS5 currently need that much GPU power.

Ese truco de las grietas estrechas para pasar a otro escenario es típico de la generación anterior; se nota que desde el principio el juego iba a ser cross-gen; no tiene sentido usar esos trucos para consolas con ssd ultra rápido como la series x o la ps5.
