I'll never get tired of playing this game and I will eventually get this version, but not at £65. Would have been a decent gesture by Sony to offer it at half pice to anyone whose PS+ account shows a purchase of the PS4 remaster. However, highly recommended to anyone yet to play it.
it's incredible the effort that sony has been making to convince everyone that this re-remaster is worth 70 dollars, even using influencers to show this, only those who get it for free can hype this re-remaster,you will probably see in a few days lots of youtubers playing this,a few of them will buy this game, this is why they will hype, and you are the power that feed the industry
Excelente video! 👍👍
Would using VRR and unlocked framerate in Performance mode cause the colors to worsen? Since it is still technically outputting at 4K to the HDMI, wouldn't having the framerate unlocked result in the use of YUV422 instead of full RGB color range due to bandwidth limitations?
Yes, Part I could technically run on PS4, but it would likely have to make compromises: - Larger file size than PS5 due to non-optimized file decompression. - Longer load times, and may not be able to make the same seamless transitions made on PS5 due to the PS4 HDD. - PS4: 1080p / 30fps - PS4 Pro: 1440p / 30fps Resolution Mode, 1080p, 60fps Performance Mode
It's not that big of a deal. It would likely run pretty much identically to how TLOU2 did on PS4. Plus lots of people still put up with PS4 loading times and larger game sizes. Nothing shown off here isn't possible or already shown off on the PS4
Looks good, but not worth a re-buy for full price, unless of course you were one of the weirdos/lucky ones who never experienced the original game for one reason or another. Not including Part 2's features was a missed opportunity too.
wow that AI sure is a big upgrade they just all advance on you at the same time while aiming so even if you do pop up you just instantly get shot i felt the upgrade aswell when playing they constantly flanked me and they where fast and quiet
Loved the original game but there is something off about this remake. Yes- it has the expected improvements to lighting, rendering, and geometry to a 10 years old game but even then the quality of these environments doesn't look that impressive compared to titles such as Days Gone last gen which did the mix of natural and man made environments beautifully and extremely detailed. And that one was an open world game rather than an open area one.
This remake is using TLOU2 graphics which are superior to Days Gone. I think it doesn't look that impressive because the areas aren't as impressive as the ones in TLOU2.
If it was running off an SSD they would of said so. Also adding an SSD doesn't always massively decrease load times, nor are they getting close to PS5 loading times in most circumstance. What's happening here is likely the game isn't optimized loading wise. A good example is FF15 on PC with an SSD. That game still takes an eternity to load even with an SSD

Night and day playing on next gen Performance mode. This game is just absolutely beautiful. I appreciate the work has been done on the Remake. It made an amazing game even more amazing. Was it necessary? Absolutely not. But I’m thoroughly enjoying the game.
That's all that matters in the end.
Still not buying it
I think overall Joel's eyes are closer together and to make Ellie look younger they made her kid head rounder.
Never played Last of Us till 2 weeks ago so playing it on the PS5 felt pretty nice, still impressed how good the graphics are
The one you are playing is the Remake. its not the same as PS3 version
@@shuvoroy7543 kind of is just better graphics that’s the only difference honestly
@@shuvoroy7543 Is there any differences in the storyline or is it the same as the original? Just asking because it’s 2023 and I’ve never played TLOU on any platform and I’m seriously considering the new one on PC.
@@rockyroad90 the remake has the same storyline as the original. The only changes are the graphics, animations and combat improvements.
It’s one of the best games ever, I wish I could play it again for the first time!
The difference in visuals between PS5 Fidelity and Performance is a lot larger than I would have expected.
The only difference is resolution 1440p performance and native 4k fidelity
i dont see the point in fidelity modes on ps5, they are all virtually unplayable
@Transistor Jump im being serious its laggy on ps5, when theres two versions performance or fidelity the fidelity option is awful to play
I see literally no difference
I loved this game on Ps3, easily one of my favorites of all time. I never got a PS4 but now i have a PS5 with a copy of tlou part1, can't wait to play it. Looks incredible! I mean look at 4:39

Bro the jump from PS4/PS4 pro to the PS5 is so big
Yes
Well it's a remake so yeah
After watching thousand of videos, this is actually the first one that makes me feel that the PS5 is worth enough
Thank you for including VRR mode I was interested to see how it performed there
He didn’t include the vrr fidelity mode though
I used to own it both physically and digitally on ps3 and I can confirm it takes 14 seconds (with a stock ps3 hdd) to load it digitally crazy how times changed
Beautiful ❤️ Ive seen it with 4k TV and the remake is just looks Soo good
One of my favourites. Will play only after the price drops.
That's so great effort from you much appreciated😊❤
No wonder why we have to pay $70 for the remake. It's so much difference between the original one. That made sense but I still hope for some discount in the future.
Not buying it still
1:19 the fog cleared from the mountains, they cleaned up the buildings and the trees grew, I'm impressed lol

Even though I’ve played this many a times I still get that feeling to go back to that world
I just cancelled my preorder, It looks beautiful but the gameplay Is the same as the original. They missed the opportunity to add TLOU PII moves (Dodge and crawl)
Eh, but they would have to redesign the levels and enemy placement for it to work.
And make the game alot easier for enemies and maps that aren’t designed for it
@@Spoopy_man yeah that would've made It worth the price.
I'll wait for a discount on december
But the crawling would be useless. The areas in the game aren't design for crawling to be useful. The areas are much more linear, no space for grass or anything else. The dodging would be nice though.

Looks fookin stunning in comparison to the already decent-looking PS4 remaster. There's been tons of complete reworking. Definitely the best way to experience TLOU by far. Can't wait to play it at some point 😁
put some respect on the remaster more especially since the remaster is also available on ps5, what a fuckin pointless remake

Thanks for your efforts put into this great video.

Performance mode looks incredible 😱
Thx god there is a 40fps mode, finally.
I've been waiting for twenty years about remake of Max Payne 1 and 2!
let's collect a lot of likes to make on ps5 and on pc)))
Excelente video! 👍👍
Would using VRR and unlocked framerate in Performance mode cause the colors to worsen? Since it is still technically outputting at 4K to the HDMI, wouldn't having the framerate unlocked result in the use of YUV422 instead of full RGB color range due to bandwidth limitations?
HDMI 2.1 allows higher bandwidth limits.
@@kobain6657 It does but the PS5 has a lower HDMI bandwidth than the 2.1 standard, so 4K 120fps in full RGB is not possible.
Yes, Part I could technically run on PS4, but it would likely have to make compromises:
- Larger file size than PS5 due to non-optimized file decompression.
- Longer load times, and may not be able to make the same seamless transitions made on PS5 due to the PS4 HDD.
- PS4: 1080p / 30fps
- PS4 Pro: 1440p / 30fps Resolution Mode, 1080p, 60fps Performance Mode
It's not that big of a deal. It would likely run pretty much identically to how TLOU2 did on PS4. Plus lots of people still put up with PS4 loading times and larger game sizes. Nothing shown off here isn't possible or already shown off on the PS4
Looks good, but not worth a re-buy for full price, unless of course you were one of the weirdos/lucky ones who never experienced the original game for one reason or another. Not including Part 2's features was a missed opportunity too.
I swear the remake is exactly how I remembered the original.
insane graphics & details
wow that AI sure is a big upgrade they just all advance on you at the same time while aiming so even if you do pop up you just instantly get shot i felt the upgrade aswell when playing they constantly flanked me and they where fast and quiet

Performance
Fidelity
Performance for those with 60hz displays and fidelity for those with 120hz displays
Estou jogando no ps3….
I'll wait for the remastered version of the remake.
Days gone looks definitely not better.
This remake is using TLOU2 graphics which are superior to Days Gone. I think it doesn't look that impressive because the areas aren't as impressive as the ones in TLOU2.
Are you guys sure you were running a base PS4 for that loading time test? Or one with an SSD added?
If it was running off an SSD they would of said so. Also adding an SSD doesn't always massively decrease load times, nor are they getting close to PS5 loading times in most circumstance.
What's happening here is likely the game isn't optimized loading wise. A good example is FF15 on PC with an SSD. That game still takes an eternity to load even with an SSD
