My brain is always buzzing with ideas on the return flight home. Despite the jetlag, hotels and cost, the Blender conference is always worth it. If you're thinking of going next year, I highly recommend it 👍
Blender changed my life. Went from having no knowledge of 3D to creating my own wearable art/fashion using their software. If it wasn’t free I don’t think I ever would have started or discovered my passion, especially so because I only had a 10+ year old laptop I could use and I was stuck on Blender 2.79. I hope to attend Blender con one day and help support the software too. 💛
I finally decided to make my first doughnut at the very beginning of the pandemic, first lockdown, and made my first little silly short movie after about 1 year and a half
I'm a mixture of pure excitement and massive embarrassment after seeing myself in this >///< 😂 A massive thank you to everyone involved in the conference! Being able to meet people from all artistic walks of life and have discussions with them about our own and everyone else's work was such an enthralling experience. Whenever I show friends something I've made they say "Oh that's cool!" but at the conference almost every person would give such enormous amounts of enthusiasm and appreciation because they themselves know exactly how much -blood, sweat, and tears- passion is involved in creating art. It was brilliant being able to communicate with both the developers and artists from Blender, and communicate back and forth about what we enjoy and want to improve with Blender going forward! I met so many incredibly talented artists, animators, and developers that I would have never have gotten the chance to meet normally, and the experiences shared with them were truly unforgettable. Bring on the Blender Conference 2023! ❤
3D tools are a major piece of how I work, and I have spent this last year transitioning from a decade gathering crumbs of information using Maya, to Blender. It has been an incredible, unexpected journey. When I last checked in with Blender it was just getting started. When I took a look a decade later... Blender has developed into this broad, deep, smart platform that does almost everything I need. And that's at its base. Discovering the global community, the UA-cam tutorial ecology, the add-on community and economy... it's been like entering a magical land. Where a private, for-profit company will field some small number of teams to pursue a roadmap of development, rolling out a thing or two every year, Blender is doing that plus so much more. While Blender works on their plans, simultaneously every involved, capable person is throwing in their good, specific ideas and tools into the pot as well. It's an amazing environment in which to be working.
Although I am about moving into 3D and I am sticking with Blender. I have always been having a strong positive mindset that Blender will one day become the world's standard for 3D.
Thank you ♥ I have watched almost all the new seminar videos and I have learned so much from them. This is amazing, the fact that they brought Jürgen Klopp as a host blows my mind
I'm in love with Blender and excited about the upcoming features although I'm not fully used the current features of Blender but when comparison happens in our Studio, Blender takes over for its cool shortcut system as it makes the work so fast. Cheers up for the Blender entire development team and Blender Community.😊
Open source is like the tortoise. Money lets you be the hare, but open source gets you the community, and that’s what lets you keep going longer and further.
imagine learning blender from 1class on in school?! coding, modelling, nodes, art, physics, group projects, animations etc....i would have loved that school.
I always liked open-source development, because it was more subjective and I guess more soul was put into. Glad to see there is a real community. I couldn't attend, let's hope this program lasts a long time.
dude, wtf was the deal with the videos not working in the presentations? how did nobody check that before the conference started? if i'd have payed money to be there i'd be pissed. major fail
