This show is supposed to be wholesome but looking back at it was it really. The love of his life dumped him to sleep around and even hooked up with his buddy. His friend fiancee broke up with him because she was too nice so she can find herself and then ran back to her rich lawyer ex. The best friend that wanted him back all along never left his side while he was married and jumped to be his support while his wife was dying and played mommy to his kids. The whole show is basically very freaking screwed up messed up dating scene we have now a days.
Ted, the man child who breaks up with or cheats on every girl because they're not perfect, then wallows in his self pitty, calling anyone emotionally ill equipped is beyond the pale. How does he have even one friend
To be fair, majority of Ted's girlfriends are really more crazy that "not perfect", you're severely underestimating the absolute chaos some of them could bring to the table.
