I've been producing for 9 years now and I really have to say that you've made WAY more progress than I did in your first month. It actually took me a while to get a decent grasp on how intervals worked in making chords and have melodies that worked well with the chords. albeit it took me long enough just to understand how rhythms worked because I had no concept what so ever.
thanks for the comment! ive wanted to make music for a while and i watched a lot of videos of people making stuff on fl studio, so i learned the basics of chords and rhythm and stuff like that
This video hit my recommended at just the right time. 🙏 I've been meaning to learn music for years now and started almost completely from scratch on Friday. My goal is to watch 2-3 different tutorials/process videos and work for at least 45-60 minutes every day until the end of the month, and so far I'm having a ton of fun! Thanks for the inspiration!!
also good tip would be 2 focus more on your drums. the melodies and the ideas of them are amazing if u focus on the drums more it would be so good. maybe try adding rythm w/ a kick snare pattern it would deff elevate the songs alot
Mess around and expirement! Make a BUNCH of different smaller tracks that all have unique melodies and you'll figure out what you like/dislike from each as you go! Practice is always key so slap some notes on there! 😆
Arpeggiated chords can give you something to start off of. Messing around on the keyboard is really fun if you just chill and don't focus too much on expectations.
I really admire your work! You've clearly made a lot of progress, I also notice that your rhythms sound much more natural when you have tracks that you're moreso just having fun with and that's 99% of the battle in music! If you have Discord or some other platform I'd love to chat as I am a pretty beginner producer as well! Really great work all around! 🥳

i wouldnt consider myself good at making melodies but i usually click notes randomly on the scale and rearrange them until something works
