中学生の頃にこの演奏に出会って気づけば23歳社会人。月に1回、寝る前にふと思い出しては聴きに来ています。そして何年、何十年経ってもまた聴きに来るでしょう。素敵な音楽をありがとうございます。

Years ago when I was still in high school, an old friend and I would hang out at my place and play the old PS1. Most of the time, I'd load up a FF8 save in Fisherman's Horizon and we'd just chill to that. That was back in 1999. It's now 2016. I haven't seen or heard from that friend in almost 20 years. Then out of the blue, she messages me over Facebook, linking this song and mentioning that it reminded her of when we were kids. Listening to it now, I can understand her nostalgia.There's nothing more beautiful than a piece of music that's touched so many lives, played by musicians who truly love what they do.

A little late - but I love these kind of "reconnection" stories. I hope the memories are still just as vibrant and you are still connected on some level in 2024.
I know this is 9 years old but
Being an amateur (at best) flutist, being able to play the main melody on my flute over the parts where these guys improvise always made me feel like I was a part of it. It gave me an illusion of belonging, and it healed my soul many times.

I've never played final fantasy 8 (I've played and beaten quite a few of the other ones though), but this song still gives me so much nostalgia, like I loved the game as a child. I guess that's just the power of Nubuo Uematsu (phenomenal cover by the way)
