What is the full form of C in C reactive protein ??
I believe its named 'CRP' as it was first discovered in patients who had an inflammatory response to C-polysaccharide on the cell wall of bacteria. However, now its known that a wide range of inflammatory responses will cause it to rise, but the name has stuck.
