Nice. Now I know I made a good decision by going with the PIAA superior base tone dual horns. The Hellas sound just as puny as the OEM ones. We all know we want that deep truck tone not these Roadrunner beep beep crap.
I feel like in this video they sound the same. I was gonna go with the hella trumpet.. but even that, I feel like I want that truck horn. I'm gonna into your recommendation
Bullet, This past weekend I replaced my 2019 adventure with Hella snail two tones. Wanted to keep the Orem connectors. Only problem was dropping one of the horn mounting bolts. I was able to retrieve. Great vids.
For me the same, and the reviews on Amazon on this horns is really bad, after a few months the break. And don't buy Hella no more, this is the cheapest China and India crap now.
Nice video. Just installed a pair of FIAMM Freeway Blasters on my newest RAV4. Can't stand the "meep meep" stock horn. I've done it to my 2010 RAV4, my wife's 2019 RAV4, and now my new 2021 RAV4.
I almost didn't buy my Rav4 because of the embarassingly puny stock horn. They should come with a warning label "no one will take your honk seriously, if they hear it at all" (Love my Rav otherwise!)
I would NOT yank on my front painted cover like that. Simply remove the three bolts that hold the hood latch on, using a 10mm socket and a ratchet, get that moved out of the way and pull the plastic shroud up. Easy peazy.
Oh, forgot to mention, I did this to my 2022 and it worked well. When you put the hood latch back into place make sure it is aligned back to its original placement by paying attention to the two top bolts where they left an imprint in the paint of the bracket. You can get it exactly where it was, tighten the two top bolts, then put in the third/bottom one and tighten.
@@BulletSolano Relay also balances the electric current incase of any problems the relay will blow the fuse and stop from further damage to wiring i guess
I installed these horns back in 2019...The sound is almost like the OEM. Then I bought this HELLA 012010901 Black 12V BX Trumpet Horn Kit (Toyota) from Amazon. It's looked ugly but the sound is way better.
helpfull video,, Did you put New Horn Relay for the new horn replacement? is that safe to use the old relay coz you have a higher amp and watts againts your old Horn? thanks
Hi, Bullet. May I ask if using a relay is necessary? Manual says it provides optimum voltage to the horns and prevents voltage surges to protect the horns from damage in such instances. I blared my dual tone horns recently and now I only hear a high tone sound causing me to suspect that I had damaged my low tone hella. I guess the relay would have protected my horns during that 5 to 10 sec long blaring if I had used one? I'm driving a 2019 toyota sienta hybrid.
@@BulletSolano i hope you wont hv to but have you ever by any chance got to blare it like I did for some 5 to 10 secs and it still works perfect? Sad that my low tone seems to be faulty now. So much for blaring it when my anger got the better of me 😅
@@BulletSolano Hi really enjoy watching your video. So can u confirm please if u left the wires like present on the video?or did u plug relay?i though rav4 2019 got one already as oem has two horns build on.But I guess. With relay the main power need to be taken from battery?or maybe any possitive wire from the front.Drive me mad when i think about the location of the 12v battery as i have 2.5 hybrid
Hi, yes I left the wires like in the video, horns sound really good, to be honest I never used my horn, only in extreme situations, my setup is ok for now
Hi Bullet, are you concerned water ingress on the connectors for the horn cable? Just curious. Also, I just bought and received the twin tone trumpets and will install them tomorrow. I got these ones because I prefer the "honk" sound over the "beep" on the stock horns. Can't wait to see how they perform.
Hi bullet , what happens with the warranty of factory of the car when you install something electric in it , like the fog lights or any other light ? Would there be a problem?
That’s why I make the connections plug and play so when I take my truck in I can put the stock horn in place, and for my fog lights they can’t see the wires
Hello bullet, I am from Brazil and I have been following your channel a lot, in the maintenance of the Honda Accord, I have a 1998 Accord DX in Brazil, can you help me? where do I get his service manual in PDF?
@@BulletSolano thank you very much, I managed to download this one but it only has 21 pages, can you tell me where I can get a service manual that has the number of parts to exchange and also gives a step by step how to make the exchange?
Ignorance is bliss I guess. Your opinion is the only thing that matters. I'm just saying that if you're going to spend that kind of money upgrading the horn, you might as well get the full effect of hella
I had a heart attack watching you remove that cover. Just unbolt the air intake and hood latch. Super easy.
Sir the way you explained this saved me from a whole lot of unnecessary wiring. Thank you so very much and God bless
No problem, thanks
Stock horn 3:59
VS
Hellas 5:40
Thanks for the video
Both wimpy wtf 😂

4:00 factory horn and aftermarket horn 5:40 sound they same

Just got my Hella trumpets in.... now to find time to switch them out. Thx for the video.
No problem
Thanks for the vid! Just wondering how did you make the Y connection for the negatives and ground? Is it a butt connector? And if so is it 16 gauge?
Hi, yes is a butt connector and 16 gauge

I did that on my new 2021 RAV4 last year but the video is on my Spanish channel ua-cam.com/video/sn7onwSIe8I/v-deo.html
How about adding a Relay cut out ?? Orelse it will drain your battery or burn the wiring
You can but the system been working fine for year, is no way is gonna drain the battery if is connected to the stack horn system

Is the relay required? Got the same horns came with a relay
It will get louder with the relay

I want ones that have a deeper sound to them like a truck. I wonder if Hella makes those.
Probably the ones for the Camry! Those sound good

What tool did you use? I wanna buy that
IRWIN VISE-GRIP Wire Stripping Tool / Wire Cutter, 8-Inch (2078309) www.amazon.com/dp/B000JNNWQ2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_nTK0EbR5M0200
Would this be similar on an 18 Rav4?
I think on the 2018 you have to remove the clips on top of the radiator to get access to the Horn
Need some air horns😎 but I don’t think they would fit...
I know
Nice- the stock Rav4 horns are pretty weak.
My wife was complaining the other day that my rav4's horn is not loud enough. I joked and said maybe try installing one of those ship horns.
😂😂
No sound test?
4:00 originals
5:42 Hellas

Good
Mine does the cucaracha
I don’t really care for the sound of the new horns
🤷🏽♂️
The factory horn sounds pathetic. 🤣
Those hella supertones sound absolutely horrible on your rav4. The reason why is because you don't have strong enough relays. Sounds very Twinkie
🤷🏽♂️ sounds good to me
