      Joep, I don't know if you'll see this/respond, but its worth a shot. Does the composition of this piece directly use in some way Kepler's theory on harmony? Or any other sort of theories based in harmony of the planets? I am very interested in this idea right now and am always excited to hear amazing pieces that reference planetary harmony in their title.

    This music comes from another dimension, where colour and sound blend together into a new concept. It's love in a pure form...Only divine artists can make this and only divine listeners can receive this. Wow! Thanks Joep....

      +jolanda setz -- Buddhists believe in the eventual enlightenment of all humanity. (I admire that because it is the basis for compassion.) When I saw your comment it made me see this music as a cleansing rain that washes away the crusty layers that people build up in a daily exposure to a seemingly hopeless world, a major source of spiritual pollution.

    • @jolandasetz
      @jolandasetz 8 років тому +6

      +Noe Berengena Thank you for this beautiful comment. Yes, I understand : this music is pure love and beauty from a pure soul and therefore it will wash away layers that are between our mind and spiritual being. When we open up to receive it... A nice thought on this special Sunday morning.....

    This is how the world changes: one way meets another way, and they discharge their weapons, they exchange their words and their markets, they contest and, in doing so, they petition each other for the right to go on existing rather than being nothing. This is the universe figuring out what it should be in the end.
    And it is majestic. Majestic. It is the only thing that can be true in and of itself.
    And it is what I am.

    About a month ago I was woken up by a beautiful sound, that sounded far away. I first thought (its angels singing) but it was just like this but I do remember hearing harps. I had to look it up come to find out Music of The Spheres. I am so grateful that God gave me the chance to listen to the natural beauty at least once in my lifetime. And thank you for making this to remind me of how beautiful God is.

    De muziek van Joep Franssens is helaas weinig bekend bij de doorsnee Nederlandse muziekliefhebber. Maar Joep speelt als componist al decennia een ongelooflijk belangrijke rol in de Nederlandse muziekliteratuur. Ook hier toont het Nederlands Kamerkoor dat Franssens er méér dan toe doet! Zijn composities - zoals ook deze - zijn van een weergaloze schoonheid.
    Dank je wel Joep en NKK!

    Ik zocht wat muzikale begeleiding bij het schrijven van een blog. Muziek als die van Pärt doet het dan altijd goed. Via Pärt kwam ik bij Steve Reich, en via Reich kwam ik bij Harmony of the Spheres van Joep Franssens. Ik wist niet dat we zo'n geweldig componist in Nederland hadden rondlopen zeg. Wat een meesterwerk is dit.....Last but not least lees ik dat hij een van mijn favoriete bands als inspiratiebron heeft: Yes. De wereld is weer een stukje mooier geworden. Dank aan Joep!

    'Harmony of the Spheres' was my favourite at night during my trans atlantic crossing by sailboat in December 2015.
    Are you interested in much more of Franssens magic music? Please listen to the tracks of his latest cd ' Piano Works' which you can find on his website. A really beautiful recording, exellent played by Ralph van Raat. In Holland this CD has a favourable review.

      Divine in symbology means two vines entwined. But we feels it refers for a heavy supreme force. But it's really the greatness of an artist that make you feel so move of divinest. So humans can be divine, but in seems only fews achieve there divinest or quite conquest more than others.

      The Divine are the Father and the Son. The strength in that two walk together in the agreement of growth and in uprightness. As two vines in intertwined as ONE. For as On ONE accord. = Divine.

    I first heard this when I was negative (- to be exact) 10 years old and I was at a public concert but the show was free so I enjoyed every bit of it. And so that's how I like this song.
