Bill Rhines is one of the nicest and most knowledgeable guys around. I called him up needing some information on a purchase I made and he was so helpful. It was like talking to an old friend. Super great guy!
This is a wicked series. Wish the videos were longer. I don't have ADD and would really enjoy hearing some of the mechanics and shop owners stories at length. Keep up the awesome work.
I would like to see: A timeline of the "stock" disappearing in stock car racing. And a deep dive into the innovative mods (cheats) on some of the cars that go though that shop. If this stuff we know about is clever, the stuff we don't know about must be awesome. While I'm here, do they restore the cars with the cheats in place?
Yeah i LOVED what NASCAR was too. Im probably one of the few people that actually could get in a nascar and race competitively without experience. you probably could not pay me to race something that is NOT a race because a race is not a race if there is more than one winner on the same track . but looks like Kyle bush is doing it right by winning both segments.
There was not ONE template when these cars would have raced!! They had templates for each manufacturer!! They were for the entire top and they had them for the sides as well!!!
Al Unser Jr did not run that car in the Daytona 500. He crashed that car in the 125’s earlier that week. He ran Kenny Schrader’s Busch Clash car. Just Sayin lol
*****, absolutely, these cars are found in old barns, warehouses, even backyards and Rhine Built will rebuild them to their period correct style and then they are typically displayed as historic race cars in museums.
+howiwatchvideos I too have seen it many times and that is exactly what he did.......and got away with it. If I had done that I would be in jail now. I don't know how those nascar drivers get away with so much crap....i.e. Kurt Busch. I just don't understand. I'm sure money had lots to do with it but that don't make it right.
These racers have WAY to much to lose, to do something like that on purpose, besides the fact that it should totally mess you up to kill someone in a Race.
I dont believe that is the Al Unser Jr Valvoline Chevrolet he ran in the Daytona 500. Al wrecked his car in the Twin 125 qualifying race and ran one Ken Schrader's re-numbered/decaled Kodiak Chevrolets. The car was white and green and have the number 46 and Valvoline decals. It might be a show car but the original racecar was wrecked.
Yeah and he wrecked that one also spinning himself out off of the front of Dale's #3 causing Kyle Petty to get wrecked out of his best 500 car he ever had.
Stop calling Stock Cars "NASCARS". It's the governing body. It's like meeting Peyton Manning and saying "wow, you were one of the best NFLs of all time!"
Really dude get a grip they call them NASCAR's that identified that they were used on the NASCAR circuit we all know that this is a stock car you get butt hurt too easy... Just like most Americans that think they're entitled do.
Love how all you Chevy lovers can only get around in your car with Fords parts I guess only a real car company can handle any power to the pavement. Hahaha Chevy suck
Bill Rhines is one of the nicest and most knowledgeable guys around. I called him up needing some information on a purchase I made and he was so helpful. It was like talking to an old friend. Super great guy!
Last car they showed was rusty Wallace's 1989 championship kodiak car. That would've been my fav!
This episode should have been 30 minutes long. Some neat old race cars.
spikeg79, it could have been... Rhine Built has over 40 cars in various stages of rebuilding!
Cool see a Tim Richmond go getter. History that deserves to be restored
This is a wicked series. Wish the videos were longer. I don't have ADD and would really enjoy hearing some of the mechanics and shop owners stories at length. Keep up the awesome work.
Those sure were the days.
There is so much to see, I would love 15+min episodes!
Network A, Chris Forsberg we want to see longer Episodes from Garage Tours. Please.
I so agree Great stuff.
Seeing Tim Richmond's old cars here was a real treat for me :) :) :)

Love the older nascar cars wish they make cars like they used to
Wonder how long till Dale Jr gets a hold of these guys for that Rod Osterlin car
Think he's got it covered, Robert Gee Jr is helping.. he helped hang the body on it originally..
You guys should build Tim Richmond's #25 Folgers Monte Carlo SS! That would be very nice!
Nice hell.. The sick SOB knowingly gave women Aids...I'd burn his car to the ground.
@@Jarhead1313 No he didn't asshole
I think knowing for what he did in the car, not out of the car.
@@jasonkoster3102 He didn't knowingly hand out Aids. That guy is a prick
1:23 Ah, that's what Bowman's Darlington throwback is based from .Richmond's 25th anniversary Darlington win. Nice.
Wow!! Awesome!
Love NASCAR, please do more videos on vivantage. Nascars, great work, keep on Raising buddy
Very cool. I've gotta tour this place one day.
Just going to ignore the Jenson Interceptor at 3:08....
Heaven is in North Carolina
amazing, love this garage!!
amazing
Back in the day......that was drivin’
This should be a show every week on motor trend that's fabulous . I like the guy what's his name Bill fantastic do keep up the good work love it
Any reason why they blurred/censored the STP sticker on the fender at 2:44 and 3:40 but then you can clearly see it at 3:32? Just curious.
My bad, I forgot Cale Yarborough drove that #25 Folgers Monte Carlo SS.
I'd love to visit this place
Very neat show, nice to see a shop in NC restoring those old famous rides!
Gone are the days.
" I like nascar, but love what nascar was"
I would like to see:
A timeline of the "stock" disappearing in stock car racing.
And a deep dive into the innovative mods (cheats) on some of the cars that go though that shop. If this stuff we know about is clever, the stuff we don't know about must be awesome.
While I'm here, do they restore the cars with the cheats in place?
Cool stuff!
BADASS!
Real NASCAR
What happens to these cars after restoration? Is there a market? auction?
70’s & 80’s
Yeah i LOVED what NASCAR was too. Im probably one of the few people that actually could get in a nascar and race competitively without experience. you probably could not pay me to race something that is NOT a race because a race is not a race if there is more than one winner on the same track . but looks like Kyle bush is doing it right by winning both segments.
you guys should tour AMS Performance
Love it wish the episode was longer and whats funny is my cousin in david sosebee the tim richmond car being restored is.his
That place is fucking amazing!!
What would be very cool is to video the guys when they come in to vindicated if its the real car and there stories of the car.
There was not ONE template when these cars would have raced!! They had templates for each manufacturer!! They were for the entire top and they had them for the sides as well!!!
Heaven
Myself I like the car's from the sixties.
Best car l saw there IMO was the 1989 Pontiac #27. Rusty Wallace bear out Earnhardt and Elliott for the '89 championship
You got to have ( Allan) Hooter's car?
Al Unser Jr did not run that car in the Daytona 500. He crashed that car in the 125’s earlier that week. He ran Kenny Schrader’s Busch Clash car. Just Sayin lol
As far as I remember Wallace always ran 27 not Richmond could be mistaken
1:19 Why was it important to cover the number up in this shot?
I think it was to protect the paint and number from the window net!
It’s sad they had to cover the 3 on the DE car to keep from getting sued. Insane.
It was a 2 ...
We restore original NASCAR's?
Siick
Healthy...
Visit Papadakis Racing!
No Daytona :/
0:52 a hillclimb corrado?
I saw it
Man, I'd work there for free. Lets see...from Fayetteville NC to Denver NC is about 3 hours lol
I have a authentic 8 2002
vintage stock-car restoration is a thing? the more you know..
*****, absolutely, these cars are found in old barns, warehouses, even backyards and Rhine Built will rebuild them to their period correct style and then they are typically displayed as historic race cars in museums.
In another show he said his favorite car was the adam petty car.
Apparently the 55 didn't have much.
cmon, visit JDM Legends garage
Just watched the video of Tony Stewart murdering that kid. Ouch.
+Doge Exposing Tony would not risk his career like that, it was an accident.
These racers have WAY to much to lose, to do something like that on purpose, besides the fact that it should totally mess you up to kill someone in a Race.
Can't w8 to build my 75 xbody.
Does he sound like Tony Stewart when he talks or what!!!
TheNASCARJeff could of been a back up car
Yeah and he wrecked that one also spinning himself out off of the front of Dale's #3 causing Kyle Petty to get wrecked out of his best 500 car he ever had.
Wonder if he owns a lawnmower? Doesnt look like it.
Second!
Two much camera time for the nerd host and not enough cars
taylor sheldon qakkwkkka
u don't build motors, gears or transmissions, ok so your a suspension/body guy only?
Stop calling Stock Cars "NASCARS". It's the governing body. It's like meeting Peyton Manning and saying "wow, you were one of the best NFLs of all time!"
i know. nothing makes me roll my eyes more
Really dude get a grip they call them NASCAR's that identified that they were used on the NASCAR circuit we all know that this is a stock car you get butt hurt too easy... Just like most Americans that think they're entitled do.
Translation:
Dem R NASCARs = They are nice cars
Today’s cars are safer, but cookie cutter cars are not to my liking. These were times when the smartest went the fastest.
Tim Richmond was a pole smoker, seriously.
Yep, he took it up the poop chute and got a butt full of the AIDS
They need to go back to real cars again
The fact that he referred to them as nascars makes me lose my respect.. Its a stock car
They are called 'nascars' by a lot of people. its not an incorrect term, EVEN DRIVERS call them nascars.
Then I guess a lot of people are incorrect then. And yes,it is an incorrect term. Nascar is an acronym, not a racecar.
Vintage? Since when the hell are rice-grinding Toyota's "vintage" NASCAR?
I love this video but quit the millennial hand movements. You ain't a rapper.
Love how all you Chevy lovers can only get around in your car with Fords parts I guess only a real car company can handle any power to the pavement. Hahaha Chevy suck
