Haley, I love the channel. I find your takes both incisive and to the point. Regarding Tesla's ever moving sideways stock price - I feel that the acrimonious relationship between Wall St. and Elon has settled into a well-worn pattern at this point: Early 2019 had the short sellers out to the tune of about 20% of the float, all while the company fundamentals were showing rising numbers across the board. prompting Elon to praise retail investors over institutional investors, since their timelines prevented them from seeing the big picture. Wall Street found it frustrating because Elon could never seem to give guidance, just big promises about the future. Cut to now and what I believe is happening is that Wall Street simply does not trust Elon after so many time crying "wolf" about when FSD would be ready, always 1 year away for the last 5 years. So they refuse to throw money at Tesla until the money starts showing up on the bottom line, which means Wall Street, once again, will miss another Tesla breakout. Idiots

Good luck. You may end up being the idiot if Musk has conned you this time.
It’s a lot easier to form a concept of manufacturers EV’s than developing FSD that can be approved.
Consider this. What happens if there is an accident, many accidents if computers fail and passengers are killed. What do you think that will do to the concept? Confidence will be shot and resultant reduction in usage will be significant. There is so much time to pass before any of this technology becomes viable.
Investors are being naive in pricing in any possible developments now. It’s all hype from Musk and so many are under his magic spell and they just can’t see the problems with this technology in not being successful.
Because something has been successful doesn’t mean it will happen again.
      It’s all hypothetical spin.

The basics here Hayley is a manufacturer has to increase sales And improve margins. Tesla is not doing both.
It may be profitable but it’s not the past or the present that matters, it’s the future that matters.
The mass market don’t care about software per se. They want a cheap good value for money car that is energy efficient. If they can buy a hybrid BYD for half the price of a Tesla they’ll do that.
Life is getting far more difficult by the day for more than less with consistent inflation. Real inflation is not 4%!
Bottom line is a manufacture must sell cars 1st and increase margins to increase earnings. EPS growth matters for a company. That the main component of valuing a company.
A certain amount of potential can be included in the share price valuation but if earnings don’t meet those expectations, then there’s going to be a dramatic fall in the share price.
Sentiment is fickle in the sharemarket.
Tech has been extremely popular for more than a year. Parabolic share price moves are not sustainable. That will be evident in the next 6 months and Tesla will be the worst affected of all of them.

Agreed. Just missed some crucial points that needs highlighting. Analysis comes with experience though.
      Risk management as well.
So important to not get emotionally involved with a stock (in Musk’s vision) and not see both sides of the ‘story’.
Then there’s putting all of your eggs in 1 or 2 baskets. It’s fraught with danger.
Investing needs to be low risk through good well analysed diversification.
If believe in a theme, invest in that. Not just 1 stock.
One of the biggest mistakes young investors make is loading up on high risk stocks that have volatile outcomes where the payoffs might be great but if not you lose capital. It’s far better having a long term 20% pa return than risking funds on a stock like Tesla that has no real moat and is very subject to competition.
Do the sums over a 30 year period in a diversified tech sector ETF. The results are outstanding.
$70000 invested in a Nasdaq 100 ETF returning 20% pa for 30 years will be worth $16.6M!!! That 787% per year !! Yes 7.87 times your investment every year for 30 years. Total return of 23637% return. Let that sink in for a while. The power of compounding and starting investing early.
It’s how Warren Buffett has become so wealthy.
      A learning curve.

Dear Hayley. I like watching these programmes, where you analyze the developement of interesting companies, like Tesla and Palantir. I wonder where the charming accent comes from? It doesnt sound excactly like the americans I follow on the subject, and to me it reminds me of that english accent used by people in Mainland Denmark(Jutland). Its distinct in its gentle pronouncing of the english language. Keep up the good work. Your channel is really something new. Per in Denmark🇩🇰😎

    Hayley,
PT of 540$ , next 12 months bc of TA.
    How?
There is MOATS( mother of all time support) create from March 2020( 23.36$) point,
    second point is Jan.02, 2023 is 101.81$.
If you connect the first point of MOATS ( $23.36) with the highest point 414.50$( Nov 01, 2021),
and then with today point you will get triangle.
Now , put vertical line through the highest point (414.50$) which crosses
MOATS on the 90 angle 📐.
It should be around 333-360$ line.
This is how much the break out line will go for Tesla stock?
    This is IMHO!
This is not a financial advice, please 🙏 do your own research 🔬, will you?
    Cheers 🥂.

Sales don’t mean jack $hit if margins fall by more the growth in sales. It’s called moving stock as inventory piles up in stock yards.
Why do you think Musk has reduced his workforce because of selling too much stock?
      No the opposite.
