My dad was a seabee he signed up in 1944 at the age of 17. He served 2 yrs. with NCB147 then reenlisted and served 5 more years with ACB1. He saw the end of the war with japan on okinawa and was a veteran of the inchon landing. We will bury him on saturday he will be missed. Thank you for your service.
@Patrick Reilly im going into the navy and i never thought a grown man being called a sailor was tough or cool. Even the uniforms look goofy. Seabees sounds cooler.
My dad was a BU in the SeaBees for 20 years, he retired as a E8 i am planing on going in the SeaBees when I graduate high school 2021 and I want to be a BU.
Wow that’s a lot how long each time. My husband just got in as a UT and he is under the impression he will be home with me more often. Is that not true because honestly I’m ready to back out
NMCB4. Home base Port Hueneme, three tours in Vietnam ICorps, 1966 , 1967 , 1968 ,just below DMZ down to DaNang, I was in Security, what ever the Bees built, our security force defended it, at that time we were front line. The Sea Bees are a force to be reckoned with no matter what job they are doing . A GREAT BUNCH OF ENGINEERS..
When I joined the Navy I told the recruiter that I don't like ships. 6 years in the Bees as a steelworker and the only ship I have ever been on was when I got out and got a job at the shipyard. Great times in the navy. Playing with guns and building shit.
I head to RTC June 12, super excited that i got CM as my rate. This video was awesome cause like alot of people are saying theres almost no Sea Bee videos like this out there. Ill update as i go!🤘
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING A VIDEO ON THE SEABEES!!!' I'm going for a builder contract in the seabees because I wanted to be boots on the ground in the navy, and there are SO few videos about them. I want MORE!!!
I swore in yesterday into the Navy the rate I picked was a equipment operator for the Seabees it's funny because I tried for steelworker to it also wasn't open
Yeah! I just swore in today! Gonna be a UT as well! Only Reserves though. Thanks for all the videos Suits. They have been an awesome segway into the Navy.
A few things: You can become an AMPHIB Seabee and you will be on a ship prepared to deploy in case an emergency from the ship to shore. There was a program called UCT but I heard that is gone now (IDK) Oh and BU's and SW's are the bread and butter of the Seabees.
Hey man thanks for the video! I leave for boot camp June 15 to be an EO. "Too smart to be a marine" they should make bumper stickers of that with the Seabee logo next to it
do you wanna make rank? Corpsman is locked up especially at the E5 level. Then the Seabees have been shitty but it depends on the rate. EA for a minute has been 100% to E5. That's because it was 2% for years...
CE 1992 to 2012. Boot Camp RTC Orlando, NAS Adak, NMCB 5/7/74, NAS Keflavik, NAS Whidbey Island, CBMU 202. 12 Deployments, 1 A School, 3 C Schools, 4 NEC's, A ton of FEX's, I'd do it again 💯. The friendships are priceless 💯
I admit, its been awhile since I was in, 84 to 89. Had to sign a 5 yr. enlistment to get a guaranteed A school. CE, construction electrician. I absolutely loved my overseas time. Was all over the pacific and cuba. Cuba sucked. But got to see my commander in chief while in guam, Ronald Reagan. Still got the pictures and cruise book. If you see this. Hey to wyatt, and dereck. Phillipines was awsome. Could go on for hours with stories.
I am a PO2 Navy Combat Veteran. I went back to College and obtained my Civil Engineering Degree, obtained my Professional Engineering License and spent 30 good years practicing my profession in Transportation, Bridges, Buildings and Freshwater as well as Wastewater Systems. I am pushing 70, but I'd give my left nut to be a Fighting SeaBee for the next six years to complete my Engineering Career before I officially retire. What do you think? Do I have a chance?
Came in as A-Pact going for SeaBee even though the rate it self is getting “phased out” I guess. Not really sure what’s going down but the more I do I get on this the more I want to be one. So cool.
I’m 17 and managed to get the steel worker job. Who-fucking-ah. I didn’t even qualify. I scored like 6 points below the standards for it but the recruiter was like alright let me send an email really quick. 2 minutes later he got an email saying I can get the job. I think he freaked out more than I did because I was his 4th person to recruit as a steel worker in his 22 years of being a recruiter, or whatever that guy is called at MEPS that gives you the jobs. Anyways, can’t wait to see what it’s like. I’m sure I’ll get a rude awakening but hey, that grilling steaks in Afghanistan don’t sound to shabby to me, I’m up for the party.
Bro is there anyway you can post another Seabee video ? Im a soon to be future sailor and your videos are helping alot with rank choice. Thanks in advance and if you can’t thanks anyways 💯
are there IT seabees ??! because i'm leaving july 6th 2017 and i want to know if i'm able to be other things as a seabee other than just sitting in front of a desk
What up Fam!!! Oh shit I here Nava but me no see Nava lol...you killing me with that!!! One of my cousins that is enlisted right now is station in San Diego as a Seabee. He tried to recruit me to join the Seabee crew. Good stuff Fam!!!
Wanted to be a SW so bad, closes I could get was HT. I had all Seabee RDC's though. Made for a fun bootcamp. Danny might know them CM1 Mizzel, CM1 Garibay, BUC Klien. -HT2
Yes? No? Sorry I'm just confused because I qualified to be a SW(steelworker), but I did NOT qualify to be a Seabee if that makes sense... I would love to know ASAP if you have any information you could help me with, thank you!
For any would be or older bee's out there hit me up... I"m all ears. For the newbies seabees is not your typical job in the navy. If you get on SOF dets be prepared because you will see some shit. Let me tell you.
Love that last bit about hockey in the field, ha ha. Yes it's fun to skate 20 km down the ice and line up an opponent and drive him through the boards, man that is a rush. Even better is when you can see someone come at you and you can avoid his hit and he hits the boards now that is the worst hurt when you miss your check and land in the boards. LMAO. You should go to your local arena and rent some skates and try to learn how to skate it's better than riding a bike. Cheers from Canada, keep your head up and your stick on the ice.
Can you still travel a good amount as a Seabee? (Like other jobs you get to travel on a ship and stop at ports, do Seabees get any interesting travel opportunities?)
whaddup fam! awesome BRAND NEW video haha. bring on an intel person if possible, to talk about their training and how to become one, obviously they can't talk about a lot but see what you can squeeze out of em XD
the Best thing about being a Seabee is that I have been active duty for 10 years as a CM and I have never been on a ship.
How's the travel as a Seabee?
@Samuel Samuel I like how you created another account to make it look like it worked but in the end it’s a dumb bot scam.
That guy on the left is so real man. So many good one liners too. Salt of the Earth right there!
Growing up in the Pacific I remember the SeaBees build everthing from roads to hospitals. Happy Birthday SEA BEES, you guys ROCK!
My dad was a seabee he signed up in 1944 at the age of 17. He served 2 yrs. with NCB147 then reenlisted and served 5 more years with ACB1. Prayers to you and your family... Once a Seabee always a Seabee. Gid bless your father and to all his loved ones.
Rest in peace and my condolences to you and your family
Must. Watch. One. More. Video. Before. Bed.
My dad was a Seabee for 20 years, never stepped foot on a ship.
@Patrick Reilly im going into the navy and i never thought a grown man being called a sailor was tough or cool. Even the uniforms look goofy. Seabees sounds cooler.

Thanks for all the videos Suits. They have been an awesome segway into the Navy.
How is it being a seabee in the reserve? I want to join as a builder.
A few things: You can become an AMPHIB Seabee and you will be on a ship prepared to deploy in case an emergency from the ship to shore. There was a program called UCT but I heard that is gone now (IDK) Oh and BU's and SW's are the bread and butter of the Seabees.
😂 yeah right, Charlie and Bravo Company do nothing all day. If you ain't Alfa you ain't shit.
Hey man thanks for the video! I leave for boot camp June 15 to be an EO. "Too smart to be a marine" they should make bumper stickers of that with the Seabee logo next to it

Dude how do you like life so far?
Haha I have beeb a Seabees SW for 12 years I can't tell us apart from a Marine. We never see Navy only Marines.
Can’t decide between sea bee or corpsman.
I was a builder in the Navy seabees and I'll tell you if you become a corpsman you can get attached to a Seabee battalion
Tyrone Brinkley Bu here too. NMCB62 Gulf Port. Beautiful deployment Diego Garcia, second battalion in.
I was an EO. One of my best friends was a corpsman.
do you wanna make rank? Corpsman is locked up especially at the E5 level. Then the Seabees have been shitty but it depends on the rate. EA for a minute has been 100% to E5. That's because it was 2% for years...
Always choose Seabee. Even though we love our Docs

Good informative video.
All Seabees are cocky like the ones I know. On the base where I live in Mississippi in Gulfport. Not sure why but the base is in a rough area.
nany lei I did notice those as well...Its because I am civilian or something, I find it weird to be overly cocky.
For any would be or older bee's out there hit me up... I"m all ears. For the newbies seabees is not your typical job in the navy. If you get on SOF dets be prepared because you will see some shit. Let me tell you.
