Let's be real it was, and what's more bizarre is according to him he could've used that Hourglass token 3 times but only did it once. Honestly, the Shadow RPG element is really poorly explained, How did Bakura get those tokens? How did Atem get his Hasan token? What was the point of dragging Kaiba into the game?

@@Akechi_The_Phantom_Detective The manga explains everything better. The Shadow RPG had the rules explained on the panel where we learn about it, and Akhnadin's spirit or whatever was the one the rewound time (apparently because Bakura has his mummy, his spirit is also part of the game? I'll be honest, that part doesn't make sense to me, but it's still an explanation).

I will admit there is something hilarious about the only weakness of Zigfrieds hacked card being the fact any number of odd cards being left in the deck being it's only out.

The manga version of the Millennium World Arc was much better than the anime, but I prefer the anime version of the Ceremonial Duel between Yugi and the Pharaoh.

Agreed. As much as I love the anime, the manga does a better job of explaining things, like what exactly the shadow game between the Yamis is.

I know, right? That's why I hated it even the characters we know and the new characters have gotten worse in the end I extremely recommend not watching season 5 these episodes are terrible! 👎🏾😡

Exactly like I understand that it's a filler arc but the other Yu-Gi-Oh filter arcs animation was on point I just didn't understand what happened when we got to the KC Grand Prix and I didn't like the treatment of Joey and all of those other duelists like at least when you introducing other duelist we should be able to see their decks besides Vivian Rebecca Leon and Signfried we didn't see the other characters and we should have had Joey dueling more before he was eliminated in the second round it just made no logical sense The KC Grand Prix needed a total redo.

@@treymykel even the filler arc that was Waking the Dragons had some pretty good animation for the most part, and arguably some of the best characterization for Joey, so idk why they turned him back into a comedic amateur for the Grand Championship arc. i wish they had just made the Yu-Gi-Oh R story into season 5, then Dawn of the Duel, though they'd have to find a better way to tell it because Pegasus only died in the manga but not the anime

@@treymykel IKR?! I was waiting to see everyone's decks and playstyles! How are they gonna introduce them all big like that from the start, but then write them all except for the main characters and antagonists?? What they did to Vivian, they could've done to the others! It's not that hard! I mean, look at the tournament in Season 2 of GX for example: They not only introduced their one-time characters like Maitre' D, Mathmatica, Elroy Prescot, and Orlando, but we even got to see them all duel, and it only took 2 episodes! Some of the duels we got here didn't even need two parters, so those could've been replaced with the episodes we got to see the other duelists play. Heck, looking at their designs alone, I could even make decks for all of them using cards that existed back then!
(Abe the Monkey Man = Monkey Deck, exactly like the one Wheeler played with in GX
Balfry Ginger = Spell Counter Deck since he's the "Master of Magic Cards"
Dr. Richard Goat = Doctor-themed Deck that uses DNA Surgery (whom he and his nurses resemble)
Sergei Ivanoff = Muscular Beast-Warrior Deck that uses cards like "Megamorph" to reference his strongman persona
Shane Jordan = Musician King Deck since he's dressed as a musician
Paul McGregor = Deck that lets you see your opponent's hand and face-down cards (Ancient Telescope, Inexperienced Spy, Dark-Piercing Light, etc.), referencing that of his detective work
Fortune Salim = Fortunetelling Deck that uses "Ominous Fortunetelling" and could even introduce us to "Crystal Seer" earlier than we did
Jafar Shin = India-themed Deck that uses "Garnecia Elefantis", "Gather Your Mind" and "Senri Eye"
Totani Ianos = Illusionist Deck that uses cards like "Mystic Box", "Magical Hats", and the anime exclusive card "Magical Pigeons"; basically a nice guy version of Arkana's Dark Magician Deck)
TBH, the only thing I liked about the Grand Championship arc here was Leon's Fairytale monsters (still waiting for Forest Wolf to come to the TCG, BTW) and Zigfried's Valkyries. Other than that, this Arc was completely unenjoyable and a massive waste of potential and time IMHO.

The final season is one of the main reasons we need a "Kai" version of DM.
Cut down on the filler, have the VAs redo some of the lines or change them to better reflect the manga and , of course, the removal of most of the ridicilous censorship like the invisible guns lol
    PS:
Its worth noting that the reason season 5 has such a significant downgrade in overall animation quality is because a bunch of experienced animators and directors either left production entirely or only came back to work on small parts of the anime like the opening
The most noteable loss was Takahiro Kagami. Who was the director and key animator for some of the BEST looking episodes of the show period.
In fact, every time the show looked incredibly on-model and crisp, its likely he was involved. (Yami Marik vs Yugi and Dartz vs Kaiba & Yugi are the two duels are where this is arguibly the most apparent)
He also came back to work to DSOD, which is a significant reason for why that movie looked so good.
