This reminds me of when the Norwegian rally driver Petter Solberg said "It's not the fart that kills you, it's the smell". Which is funny, cause the word "fart" and "smell" in Norwegian is "speed" and "crash/boom/impact". What he ment to say was "its not the speed that kills you, its the crash".
This was the best Norwegian lesson I have come across so far. Very clear and easy to understand.
OMG this video is full of information!
You're the BEST
Tusen takk
Jeg elsker Simple Norwegian
This is my favourite language for me it is one of the most beautiful languages in the world
We have the Jo word in Dutch as well (Jawel). I think the best translation would be "Yes, actually", that's a phrase people often use in that context.
I can't express how happy I am to have found this channel! I've been wanting to learn a Scandinavian language for years since we regularly travel there. My mother studied Scandinavian languages with main emphasis on Danish and my dad did part of his medical studies in Norway. I always felt a bit envious about them being able to communicate well with the people we'd encounter during our trips but also knew that they just don't have enough time to teach me. It took me a while to figure out which one of the languages I wanted to learn but finally chose Norwegian. I love the sound of it! I am really surprised by how many words are actually quite easy to recognize if you speak German (my main language) or English.
Tusen Takk Sir!
Tusen takk! Very helpful and to the point. Best video on basic phrases I have found so far!
Your series is REALLY good! Thanks for making it!
Thank you very mech! I was searching the best Norwegian class in UA-cam. This is very nice and easy for the new learner! Beside that, this is both in English and Norwegian, So, very easy for me... I recommend! 👍👏👐💝💐

Your Voice makes me happy
Ahhh you Norwegians have that special kind of "yes" as well :D
I needed 10 minutes to explain that word in German (doch) to two Croatians... funny and exhausting experience

thank you dude
Tusen takk
Takk skal du ha 🙏
muito bom,eu gosto de curso非常非常喜欢,支持!
I'm learning Norwegian because I'm planning to study Icelandic too. My reason behind that is I'm accountable to speak their language if I ever go there in the future. I don't like troubling people to speak English for me, so I must be the one to do some effort.
tusen takk og godt jobbet. j
now i understand that "jo" is like the german "doch"
nice that there is something like that, as a german i always found it weird to respond with "yes..." when i dont agree with a negativ statement.
Jeg elsker dette
you're amazing.
Oh thank you thank you thank you a 💯 thank you
Awesome 👍
tusen takk !
Good lesson thusend tak for this lesson
@@Izza642 Dont give up Norwegian may be hard at first but once you get the core on the Norwegian it is very nice language to learn. Keep trying.
Takk
Good videos.
Je = Yes
Nei = No
Jo = Yes (affirmative)
Du er ikke kul - you're not cool
Reply: Jo, det er jeg - yes, I am.
takk at du lærer meg norsk/ I can write Norwegian and speak a little bit\ tusen takk Simple Norwegian
Me: Tries to remember and learn
My brain: Dies
What about "please" and "your welcome"? Btw love your videos! They really help:)
The correct spelling of "vær" in bokmål is with an "æ", so: Please = "vær så snill" and you're welcome = "vær så god". There are also other phrases you can use instead of "vær så god", like e.g. "bare hyggelig".
Hey! Thank you so much for the work you put into these videos.
I only got one question..Is it better/easier to learn Bokmål or Nynorsk or are there only a few differences? Which type could be more helpful when visiting/living in Norway or does this depends on the region?
Hey, you’re welcome. You definitely want to learn bokmål instead of nynorsk. Different regions will have different dialects, and some may be more similar to nynorsk than bokmål, but everywhere you go you’ll be understood if you use bokmål.
jeg liker norsk!! 🇳🇴
Thank you very much for your lessons. I hope to follow your lessons diligently.
I am wondering, you did not teach us the word "Please" in this video?
👍 👍
Jeg har sagt ditte vido jeg lærte mye fundmental ord mange takk jeg skal vante andere vido min kjære bro
top
what is the different between sier and snakke
Forvirret min franske tante med tak og takk.
Mamma hadde moro med bønner, bønder, og bønner 🤣
Thanks a lot for your amazing lessons. Why is "raskt" pronounced "raskt" instead of "racht" (i thought s and k together were pronounced ch) ?
Thanks !
The sk sounding like sch usually occurs when it is the beginning of a word. If the sk is at the end it doesn’t sound like that, examples: faktisk, spansk, tysk (almost every language, in Norwegian, ends with -sk in this manner)
This was really helpful, tusen takk! Are you from Norway yourself? Your accent sounds too American to be haha
Jeg liker bananer👍
Jeg elsker kaffe
I want to ask why we say "Jeg misliker epler" and can`t say "Jeg misliker kaffe" and need to say "Jeg liker ikke kaffe" maybe can you explain me? Thanks :)
You can say both, they have the same meaning. Just like "I don't like" and "I dislike" in English
Why not play Søstrene Bjørkelund instead of muzak? Or some Nora Brocksted?
I'm learning japanese but sure i guess ill watch this..
How does one say, " I speak a little Norwegian," or, "I speak very little Norwegian" ?
Is bokmål easier learn then nynorsk?
Special word?
It's fundamental to know how to say you can speak norsk when you just attend the 3d lesson XD
Not the 🍑 😂
No bonus word??
Takk jeg kan snakke norsk (noen)
No bonus word? 😢
Jeg hater tomater også
Im watching ur vids and then going on duolingo
What is the most common word?
"Sakte or langsomt" in this sentens:
Kan du prate mer langsomt
most would say "kan du prate saktere" in this instance, neither of them are ucommon but id definelty say that "sakte" is more common
Jeg kan Norsk
Flott lesson
Between you and Duolingo, maybe i can get this language.
Duolingo doesn't seem to explain a few things like you do.
6:14 i too like "kake"... Y'all know what it sounds like.
Man the comments are p old but, is 'jeg hater du' correct?
"Jeg hater deg" is correct, as "deg" is the object form of "du". And "meg" is the object form of "jeg". So "do you hate me?" is "hater du meg?" 😊
whats the name of the outro song ?
Jeg bor i Pakistan.
*wheeze*
I think he really liker ikke tomater. 😂
"Not the ass butt. But... the but but".
I love this guy.
Lol thats excatly what i was looking for
