I filmed there myself and made pictures inside the mausoleum, wasn't bothered by the guards, made even a picture with them too. But probably because it wasn't full of people when you filmed and therefore easy to spot.
Hi Fouad, apparently filming with your phone is fine. We had a professional camera with a microphone which triggered the undercover police. There were no warning signs about filming not being allowed, so such drastic approach with us held at a point and having to wait for major’s decision on what will happen to us was a bit unwarranted. A simple warning would have sufficed.
@@dacedaine822 it's for political reasons. We still have issues with the neighbouring country (Algeria arming a separatist group) over our southern provinces (they basically want a vassal state to get access to the Atlantic, we also had issues regarding borders after the independance so the best way to make us forget about it? Get more from our own territory and it's working for now). So as a tourist, you're either getting here "visa free" (US and UK and Schengen Space in Europe, Japan and some other developped countries), or with a tourist visa (from other developped country, or the rest of the world). This means personal visits. Using cameras and mics, even fir vlogging in some specific places, can be seen as a "professionnal presence" and this requires another type of visa... those who have it have already filled the purpose of the visit, the places they want to film, etc and they're not bothered by the way, because police already knows about them... for the rest of individuals? It will raise suspicions and they will be more likely to intervene.

Great blog . Sorry about the mishap , it all depends on the guards degree of awareness, mood and paranoia. Morocco has to balance security concerns due to threats from its haters and manage its image as a hospitable free to visit and film country , sometimes we alas fall short . Wishing people’s warmth and genuine attitude washed out or lessen the disappointment of authorities.

Very clean city and very detailed beautificated stony streets among those old whitewashed renovated houses with their masterpeace stony doors!!! Absolutely lovely city!!!
Salam alaikum my friend, Meh, don't take it personally. There are certain areas where filming is sometimes randomly forbidden for mysterious reasons. Loved LA too! Appreciate you watching my friend!
@@YadVenturess whoa. you really get around 👍
He filmed ""hadar security".this group is made up of soldiers, to fight against terrorism..they are not ordinary police officers.
thank you❤️❤️ Morocco

I born in rabat 5 min from the beach i spent more years in 🇺🇸 then morocco My mom still lives in the same house . I love my city is beautiful also ppl from the old town are amazing. Love from Florida ❤
Amazing! Rabat is such an amazing city ❤ Thank you for watching :)
Morocco is beautiful, and people are great . But its changed like every where else, I visited about ten years ago.
I love Morocco so much! But like any country it will always be changing and adapting to the new times :)
Thank you for sharing this information 🙏🙏

Is normal for filming in the area where the king is burried you need authorization, in Uk you are not even allowed to accese to where the queen is burried. The man told you in door if photo there is no problem but video is not allowed without authorization
The guy at the entrance said no video of him only photo, he didn't say you cant use video inside.
مرحباً بكوم في المغرب واهلا وسهلا بيكوم وعطله سعيده

Welcome in your country ...mohamed from rabat morocco
Thank you brother ❤️🙏
Salam alaikum my friend,
Meh, don't take it personally. There are certain areas where filming is sometimes randomly forbidden for mysterious reasons. There are some people who want to exert authority and assert their insecurity into other people's business. Props for the patience.
Otherwise, Moroccan people can be extremely welcoming. I speak objectively even though I'm a moroccan myself, but I have my bad days as well and I represent myself.
Wherever your journey takes you, enjoy yourselves.
Salam brother and thank you for your comment :)
You got really nice price for this Shirt! even me a moroccan I think wil pay more than 150Dh. good shop!
Glad to hear that 😊🙏

You showed some beautiful places here.
Not shocked at what happened
My husband is moroccan ,so I am used to what happens now, many places are not to be filmed or even take a photo
You just have to quickly learn this
A situation can very quickly become worrying for yourselves
Lovely places, some lovely people ,just always be aware of these things happening.
Thanks Anna, so many beautiful places in Rabat. I agree I’m glad the situation didn’t get worse. 🙏
