Rabat is the cleanest capital I've ever seen. A beautiful city with many green areas with an amazing mixture of history and modernity. Thanks for this lovely video.
I was in Rabat six months ago as my daughter was living there at the time. It is an absolutely lovely city with generally lovely people. I feel lucky to have been to such a place in North Africa.
You must have had a great experience as your daughter would know the city in a way a visitor wouldn't. Lovely city as you say, I really enjoyed my time there.
As a Moroccan, when I wander in the alleys of Rabat and see the beauty of its buildings and the consistency of its architecture, I evoke the greatness of our ancestors, who were truly great in everything...
I spent 5 years there in Rabat, I finally graduated and left in 2017, it was a great experience and I have many good memories. I recognized some places which is Avenue Mohamed V where there is train station Gare Rabat ville, Moroccan Parliament, Macdonald, Cyber, Hotel Balima, Studio pictures, la Poste and others, and I also recognized place Al Joulane close to Moroccan national Police.
Rabat is basically divided to three parts: - old medina (old city 700 years old, includibg Oudaya where pirates lived back in 16 century) - colonial city (where the train station is) - New city is what was build after the independance 1956, and this needs transportation to go from place to place. Personally I love Rabat, it gives good vibes and you can live the history and modern times (talking food, clothes, music…).
@@ChrisKermis Hi Chris, those pirates are the direct descendents of all the moorish people expelled from spain in 1492 or later in 1609 (jewish and muslims).
