ALS is rare and should always be the last thing to worry, many disease have symptoms like ALS. Go to your doctor but don't worry

Your video about ALS really help me. I was blissfully living my life when i discovered about ALS, and it was just down the rabbit hole for me. Reading too much about it,forums, articles. Realizing that my muscles twitch even tho i have it years before i read about ALS, and i got really depressed. Again i had no weakness or atrophy for WEEKS AND MONTHS but I can't still stop the anxiety attack whenever my muscle twitch a bit. I got better for sometime but ALS is like a trigger word for me which i need to work on, If a TV show or ALS appear somewhere, it just trigger my bad routine and repeat the cycle. Much love from VietNam

Muscles twitching not accompanied by actual weakness ( like you can't move heavy object even you really try) is meaninglessness. I am not a doctor but after spending way too much time reading ALS, I can say that with confidence, ofc go to your doctor if my words doesn't bring you peace of mind

This is me too currently and why I found these videos because I have a client with it and it’s totally spiralled me out. First time I have been so anxious and scared daily, so trying to do as @cherellethinks says and stopped googling and also trying to replace through process that I have it too. I am struggling because my client who has I have to deal with her and want to support her ( lI am her financial adviser) but everyone I work on it, I trigger and panic and have mini bursts of dread. It’s horrible 😢😰

As a sufferer of health anxiety, I believe it stems from a much bigger issue - death anxiety. That's what we need to tackle and overcome if we want to find peace.

Everyone lives, everyone dies. It’s going to happen, we can’t control it, and we can’t be bothered by things we can’t control. If it happened before, it’s not happening now, if you think it’s going to happen, it’s not happening now. We as humans let our intellect harm us, that’s our number one gift! Cherish it, Cherish life. Love always

I am 65 years old and fell into health anxiety last December because of some nasty results of my CT ( none of them life threatening though). It‘s been hell ever since and I do believe that at my age it‘s a whole different story suffering from HA than when you‘re young- more real if you want. I have watched some of your videos but have yet to find one explaining certain meds that could help.

So Glad I stumbled across you, what you are saying is spot on. I agree with what you are saying about, Stop excessively checking , googling etc and asking for reassurance. This is me to a tea. What I cannot get my head around is how to stop worrying about every little skin imperfection of tiny blip that appears on my face. I seem to get pulled into a vicious circle where I constantly get new things pop up on my face, and I automatically think the worse and the anxiety kicks in bigtime. I get checked once a year but within days I find myself in the vicious cycle where I check my face numerous times a day and panic when I see something new like a little blemish or freckle. I did have a scare during covid with something that came up on my forehead, was told by GP for 4 years it was fine then they changed their mind and sent me to a dermatologist who checked it and said it was nothing to worry about. This has now caused me to worry about everything that appears, and I cannot stop checking my face numerous times a day as asking for reassurance. Its driving me insane as I have been like this now for 4 years. Any tips woudl be greatly appreciated as I cant get myself out of it.

Can’t believe I found this channel. I used to do all these things, googling, checking etc. I’m doing much better now. I was wondering, how does one manage the anxiety when there IS actually a diagnosis of an illness? When The lies your brain tells you actually become the truth?

    • @cherellethinks

I think when someone is actually unwell with something that the anxiety felt is very reasonable. It’s totally normal and understandable to feel anxious if somebody is diagnosed with something. 🤍

When I know about somebody that its ill out of nowhere I begin to ask what were the symtoms they ignored. And then I am constantly checking myself to see I do not have that . This is horrible and I have to go away or not read news about people who out of nowhere have an aneurisma and died and that triggers a lot of my health anxiety. Also all the things about the Covid Vaccine and side effects of people with problems with heart failure after vaccine and the coagulation thing that made me worst this year I have a set back and help me to do exercise and check with Dr everything is ok. But now I have high blood pressure something basicaly normal in women with perimenopause and I am on medícation and living scared all the time of having something in my heart. Now I am dealing with this set back living without health anxiety for years now after Covid it came back . I am on therapy and is a daily struggle.
Thank you Cherelle I am a follower of your videos since the begining and you are very important in my process . Thank you for all that you do. ❤

Hi there. I believe I am on the right path. I know it’s mind body. I’ve went from having pelvic pain, symptom shifted to a different location in my pelvis after 2 years. Then it left my pelvis and went to a different part of my body altogether. These changes come after serious commitment to mind body work. This has all happened within the space of a month. I am currently going through the worst patch of health anxiety of my life. I’ve just started going to A&E and feel like because I’ve done that I can do it time and time again. Got an ultrasound on my liver to discover non-alcoholic liver disease but currently having many symptoms such as stomach aches, headaches, eye floaters, dizziness. My partner and all my family are so concerned. I am currently going through everyone for reassurance and currently have a ban on my phone to search certain websites and forums to try and find what’s up with me. All I think about is going to the doctors to discuss everything. All the health professionals have said there is absolutely nothing wrong with you or sinister going on in your body. I feel nauseous all the time but also hungry. I feel like I’m letting so many people down on the way. I have therapy once a week but I just can’t stop thinking I have cancer! I watch your videos to help me understand everything and maybe gather a little bit of reassurance. I am currently off work with my mental health. Luckily I work with my family who are very understanding. Your videos are excellent and I start my real journey today.

Found your channel a year ago when I had gone through the same exact fears and situation as you. After many months of watching and believing you, and focusing on my anxiety instead of twitching, they eventually went back to "occasional" ... but here i am again. This time it's something different and I'm going through all the tests. The spiral is absolutely horrifying again. The thing im "convinced of" now is rare, but my symptoms are hallmark. My zoloft doesn't touch it and xanax only helps for a short time. I'm going to do all the tests because my doctor does want to be safe although he believes it's all an anxiety cycle, but from here on out here is my pledge to stop searching for anything on what I am fearing right now. I even joined a fb support group for the people living with what I'm getting tests for. Thank you for your videos. They are very helpful.

I have actually watched a few of your older videos. First one was the one about Poo, which turned out to be the same thing as you. Now I have these stomach issues...at worst it could be gastritis...But how I just keep going right to (((OH NO IT'S CANCER)) I'm realizing I have a problem. And I'm starting to realize anxiety makes it actually worse. My stomach issues happen every two to three weeks. I will be fine for two or three weeks... then my stomach issues flair up for a few days and have issues eating. And nothing that fits any kind of cancer symptom. Yet I go in a panic. I will be seeing a Gastro soon. But yes I have an extreme cause of anxiety disorder. I go hours shaking my leg. Unable to sleep. I panic over thinking people hate me and things like that. But your videos have been helpful.

I'm going through Anxiety again for the second time. First time i was rid of it as it was down to thyroid issues, once that was sorted it eventually went away. But now it's back. The panic attacks and anxiety were so intense nearly everyday, the toll it takes on your body is immense, you do feel like you are dying sometimes. A lot of anxiety can be down to trauma, grief, ptsd or some event that triggers anxiety. My doctor started explaining to me that there are two brains, one is the brain, the other brain is your gut - the so-called Brain-Gut axis. It's worth reading up about. An imbalance in the gut microbiome, known as dysbiosis, can send the wrong signals to the brain and body - Anxiety, depression and digestive issues can be caused by this.

Thank you Cherelle for this video. I have been watching your videos.
I suffer from Hypochondria according to my current GP.
How I got it? - I was unwell for about 13 years with strange symptoms and the previous GP dismissed it as 'imaginations'.
After 13 years, I was very unwell and sent for a blood test and I had Graves Disease (Hyperthyroidism).
I was sent to the Endocrinologist and had medicines for 12 months and thankfully my thyroid levels are normal.
However, because of 13 years being told I was imagining my symptoms, I have become insecured about my health.
So every small symptom I have, my brains screams CANCER.
I am trying to heal from this.
Listening to your videos helps me somewhat.

IntraV ultrasound, name it, I spend sooo much and because our country have zero to non acceptance on mental health few years back, and just recently when I met my Gastro he felt it has something to do with my mental health, till today I’m scared to go to a Psychiatrist because I know that kind of doctor here is still not much of that open on things like this. Mine started at 15 and never stopped. I guess there are now 31 of us in the world now. They should get us together for research to find out why we have this reaction to possibly find a cure. I have recently quit a long term addiction of adult media content as well. I now don’t have anxiety or panic attacks as bad as I use too. I lost my mom 2 months ago because of terminal disease, and my health anxiety is getting worse and worse. I have stomach pain and gut issues, and I think I have stomach cancer. Health anxiety is killing me and makes me suicidal. Therapy didn't work for me. I'm really tired...

My health anxiety disappeared when I eliminated gluten from my diet. I had health anxiety for my entire life, which comes in episodes, but for the last 2 years, it has been out of control.
Try to do research on the relationship between a gluten-free diet and health anxiety, maybe it will help some of you.

    • @An_Arbitrary_Miscellany
      @An_Arbitrary_Miscellany 7 годин тому

I'm sorry but if you think that gluten is the cause of your anxiety, then you haven't understood any of what these videos are saying. You've just made another false link between two unrelated things, and it will fail for you at some stage (and, be honest, like all the other times you thought you found the answer in something else).
If you're not owning and facing up to the anxiety itself, which is a consequence of overthinking and compulsive unhealthy behaviour; then you will never be free of it.

We are not separate from the universe we are the universe. And so we are just as much for example a tree or a book as we are the body, or everyone else as much as the immediate body. So everyone’s achievements are just as much your achievements: you painted the Mona Lisa, you designed the Sagrada Família, you ran 100m in 9.58 seconds etc. There is no other or external it is all you/ the universe. The universe or existence could also be referred to as God, all there is is God. In the universe being us, or in us being the universe, that could also be said as we are doing this. We are being or doing our entire experience, and furthermore everything that has ever happened or will happen.
It is us which identifies anything being in particular to give it individuality but when we are not doing that and furthermore regardless if we do that there is already everything free from the need for anything in particular to be identified and so everything as a whole or wholeness, absolute freedom (non-duality).

I have horrible headaches as well and pain behind the eye. I tried to have a MRI scan two weeks ago and went in the machine twice but the noise was unbearable it was so loud. It was making my headache even worse. There was no way my brain was blocking out the noise. They gave me really crap foam ear plugs which didn’t seem to block out any noise. The scan I was having you can’t have the radio on. The lovely ladies said go and have a CT scan as it isn’t noisy so getting that booked this week once my new letter comes through.
