Perfect! Thanks for this. I had abandoned Shadowcatching a few iterations of Corona ago when all I could find were 3dsmax tutorials. This had me up and running in just minutes. Now I'm placing my 3d models on the beach, in old abandoned warehouses, in empty fields . . . I might not sleep tonight.

The latest Corona build has a feature to use dome mapping for hdr backplates for the exact issues you faced towards the end.
Thanks! I will check it out.

@@millie2079 Amazing! Thanks for following up. This is magic - looking forward to trying this out. Thank you!
Or you could use dome mapping ;)
Yes! I learned this after I made the tutorial and it works well!
is it possible to use default c4d light in corona render? or you should really use corona lights only for the seemless background?
I believe it is possible to use native C4d lights inside of Corona: I think the question would be why would you want to?
To clarify around this workflow: I use a Cinema Sky object and a Cinema Background object, but all materials and lights are Corona based.
You could use Corona Sky with a HDRI in DOME mode insted of a BG! Just like this: ua-cam.com/video/0q4f9ydj6tA/v-deo.html
