Probably best to post in the forums so you can share an image of the results you are getting and we can see what material you are using (UA-cam comments don't allow for such things) - forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?board=29.0 . Also be sure to share which version of Max, which version of Corona, too. The only thing I can think of is to point out that the material in the material library does not include UVW mapping - the object the material is being applied to will have to have appropriate UVW mapping on it, and then the material from the library uses that. If the object is not mapped correctly, you could get unexpected results. However, if you post on the forums showing the result you get after applying the materials, we could be of more help :) Thanks! Tom
Hi! If you are using Corona 8 or newer, Highlight Compression is not in the default tone mapping stack, as the ACES OT operator does a better job at bringing the HDR down into a displayable color range. You can of course add it back, since the tone mapping is now completely customizable - see ua-cam.com/video/paQP2XYQyEs/v-deo.html for all the details on how to work with the new tone mapping! Hope this helps! Tom
Hello! I am not sure what the question means - to have the software, simply go to corona-renderer.com/download for the 45 day trial, and then to follow the training, watching the videos here on UA-cam is the best way to learn, or you can visit corona-academy.com/ for a list of paid courses from approved instructors if you are looking for that kind of training. Hope this helps! Tom
Hello, trying to follow this, i think i sort of got the gist but would like to know if there's a way for the sky to not appear so burned, i added a corona environment and it looks 100% white, can't change it in post, the information is 100% flat color
Hi! Not entirely sure about your situation - usually it is best to ask over on the forums in the "I Need Help" section as this lets you share screengrabs of your scene set up, the resulting render you are getting, and can be answered by the support team who don't monitor the UA-cam comments (as well as the community) - forum.corona-renderer.com/. With limited info just now though, all I can say is remember the default exposure value for Corona is for an interior, which means any exteriors and things like the sky will appear white/too bright. You can lower the exposure in the VFB to correct this. If you are rendering an interior and want what is seen outside the windows to be less bright, then you will have to cheat some (as photographers have to do, too), e.g. adding a Corona Color Correct to the sky to adjust it's exposure directly, and using that as the directly visible override. As you can see though, this is better discussed on the forums where we can share images too, both lets us be more clear, and also to understand from your images more about the situation you are in :) Thanks! Tom
