My legs were burning just watching the 2nd half of that video. Nikola you are a great coach, positive and happy throughout while still bringing out the best in the player. Thanks to you and Ema for sharing the highlights of this session..
Nick is the the kind of couch who has real experience with different types of players. He has the right technique and he knows how to communicate them. This is also a great video, this young women is very skilled.
For those USTA players who want to improve their rating especially 4.0 + 4.5 you should be doing these drills. I have employed these drills with High School Team and USTA Juniors in Tennis Camp. The ground stroke and volley placement drills build placement, control and consistency skills. Simply hitting and hoping that the ball goes in is not a winning strategy Every shot that you hit should have a placement and purpose towards winning the point. This player has world class foot work. She has “Happy Feet” that are constantly moving. You can’t hit the shot if you’re not in position.
Hmm thanks for the video coach! I've been looking at your strokes slow-motion, looks can be deceiving because your technique and mechanics are solid so it looks effortless but is it safe to say you and Ema's style of hitting are more flatter shot with less top spin using less wrist? Should I focus on using less wrist as well? Reason I'm asking is because some coaches actually promote releasing the wrist earlier to generate more top spin...is it just different style of play? Thank you in advance >
She's already retired!?? It's amazing how pro tennis players you never hear about who toil in the challengers and never get to make it big time. Compared to the top players, they aren't that good, but they'd kick my ass. lol
Hi Nick, one question about the Forward V, Backward V, Forehand V and Backhand V handfeeding drills: do you consider these drills apropriate for a 9 year old kid with one year of tennis? Or are these advanced drills, only for more experienced players? I love this drills and I've been doing them with my son since you post the video, but he has some difficulties in the backward backhands (he plays one handed backhand), doing mainly weak slice shots in that situation...
...not to mention the independent arm action behind the body (WTA forehands). It is expensive to play and not cover costs. This is why it is diluted in the lower rankings.

Thank you ZV, don’t use your wrist. The wrist is passive even on Nadals FH ua-cam.com/video/mp7HV7vHEC0/v-deo.html
not sure you saw it. But you were in tennis magazine with two other guys about practicing on the wall...
I saw it 🤩🤩
I feel tired just looking at it, let alone doing it.

Points play?))
Possibly in the future Professor

I use it with kids, you can feed slower give the kid more time
Thank you Nick, I will try that way.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Well to me she's a lot better than that Shamir guy.....technique,footwork,balance...all pretty good.
the lady on the other hand is better at it.
I thought your first comment was about her, lol. I think he is hitting easily with her.
you hit way too many open stance shots forehand. you should turn your left shoulder more to face the incoming ball and use your body more to swing.
...not to mention the independent arm action behind the body (WTA forehands).
It is expensive to play and not cover costs. This is why it is diluted in the lower rankings.
LOL are you serious? Do you even know who's channel you're on? What lvl of tennis have you played/are playing?
Yeah I’ve seen you at Wimbledon……..serving drinks:)
No serves??

Look at how her swings are and yours. Quite a different level between pros and amateurs.
Does she want the genius genes?
