Данный инструмент является именной гитарой музыканта Dimebag Darrell, известного как гитариста группы Pantera, а после и группы Damageplan. Данная модель была выпущена фирмой Dean как дань ушедшему музыканту в линейке Tribute и имеющей одноименное название одного из альбомов группы Pantera. Самыми известными песнями с этого альбома стали: 5 minutes alone, Broken, Becoming, Shedding Skin.
Гитара выполнена достаточно качественно, не смотря на то что инструмент сделан в Кореи. Далеко не секрет, что Корейские дины не уступают по качеству изготовления и в конечном итоге звучанию японским инструментам фирмы Jackson.
Внешне гитара очень красивая с продуманным дизайном, имеет кленовый топ и сделана полностью из красного дерева с накладкой из палисандра. Возле Floyd Rose имеется символичная наклейка, на которой изображен музыкант в разные периоды жизни. На голове грифа также имеется изображение Дарелла.
Включив гитару в усилитель с первых аккордов начинаешь понимать, что это именно твой инструмент. На чистом канале гитара имеет приглушенный звук, из-за красного дерева. Включив на грязный, получаешь невероятное количество гейна, благодаря фирменному звукоснимателю Symour Duncan Dimebucker SH-13 в бридже, который был сделан при участии Дарелла. Этот звукосниматель дает характерное "хрустящее" звучание и высокую читаемость инструменту. Соло имеет яркий насыщеный звук. В целом гитара имеет хорошую атаку, долгий сустейн и ярко выраженную середину.

The Dean ML is everything but a one-trick pony. But only a professional player will show this side of the guitar, the variability. I even play some awesome jazz on it. The balance by the way is perfect. If you don't know what you're talking about, go elsewhere. Dean is not only about Dimebag, but Dime was outstanding and most of all a very nice and gentle guy, as far as I can see.
I have one same as that and a washburn 333 they're the best
This is a review of the guitar sound. We chose the most interesting music that good sound with this guitar. I hope you understand that on any signature you can play different music.
Usually when someone reviews a guitar and plays it on a certain channel for too long I get irritated as hell. But I ended up getting upset cause he didnt play long enough on the clean. Found myself humming those songs.

I bought a 09 ML 79 Trans Brazilia with a floyd. Stuck a pearly gates in the neck and a Bill Lawrence blade in the bridge. One of my fav guitars.

Some set up and tweaks here and there and it plays as good as you will ever need only ever needed to fret level and crown for a great player and some wire issues.

Pickups really sounds great,but this guy has got potential to be very good in few years.They should get some pro guy to make this famous pickup shine little more than this.For solo parts it is very unpleasant to listen,at least for me.
For anyone who knows about deans, the headstock is like a series 2, but a bit wider. You can see it in the video. I’ve owned one as well.

Ive seen second hand ones going for that. I was very interested in this guitar at first because I thought it would be cheaper since it is really just a customized 79ML.
Even when new on eTurd I havent seen one under 1200 (new) for the Korean model.
But you are right there, Dean no longer make it. Existing stock only. They do still make the 79ML-F though (the model which the real one was customized from).

Nice guitar, finishes are great (love those stickers!), but the pickup choice is so wrong man. I don't know if those are the stock ones, but the Dimebucker is pretty dull compared to a Bill Lawrence 500L if we're talking about faithfulness to the original tone. Dime used to play that along with either a SD 59 or a Dimarzio Super Distortion in the neck position and I think - EQ pedal and noise gate aside - those were a major element of his sound, which shaped the Pantera songs we all love.

yes, the 79ml is almost as good as my Rust from Hell (which was a $5000 guitar on release) and you an pick them up for about $400 bucks. I find them better than the Washburns to play, but I still prize my dimeslime visually. The Deans seem to have a faster neck.

im buying one as i type this. from having guitars with painted necks i think the first thing im going to do is sand the neck and wax it.

How can they send guitar necks to Korea all done without them being alternated by the water and temperature condition changes since they can't be painted and finished before being on the guitar. I guess that's why the warranty it's big risk to quality they really wanted or needed that cheap labor I guess
I love my signed 79ML but I dont play it (for obvious reasons) even though its the best one to play (its on a par with the dimeslime 333). Thats why I bought another 79ML . . one to actually play rather than just hanging their as a display.
im not gonna bitch about it, cuz it really doesnt bother me. but im pretty sure that people who look for this guitar in particular, are looking for the DimeBag tone. why not play the intro of cemetery gates or something like that or hollow; just to keep it consistent.

the original FBD guitar (dimes own one) was a 79ML with a SD humbucker in it and standard neck pickups. This is not one of his most famous guitars, its an overpriced mockup of one of his most famous guitars. I own a dixie rebel, Gates razorback, Rust from Hell, and 2 79MLs in different configs, one of which signed by Darrell himself.
The tribute rules. The new dime ml has a really fucked up feeling neck that is apparently what dime was into but it's pretty bloody awful. Pretty sure the board radius is different too.
Why's everyone complaining about playing Metallica...? Seriously? I own a Dean From Hell and I when my band does the occasional cover we often play Metallica. Now lay on the hate!
