@@SurvivalRussia : I first noticed this in her mother's "The trees were my friends" video. Lars always bundled up against the bugs, like I'm sure I would be, and his missus dressed appropriately for the heat, without any problems from the bugs, gathering flowers like a hippie chick in the 1960s, seemingly in paradise.

When I moved to Alaska, in May 1999, I went camping on my first weekend there. We were mauled by biting flies and mosquitoes. We slogged around in the mud. The wicked willawaws blew glacial dust all around. The sun was up all the time so I couldn't sleep at night. It sucked.
Then, in January, a friend introduced me to winter camping. There were no bugs. We chopped wood and cooked over a campfire every night. We saw the stars and the northern lights. Everything was frozen so getting around was easy. There was no dust. And only the heartiest people camp in winter, so there were no other people around.
Now, I don't even camp in the summer. I'm team winter camp all the way.

I hope you guy's had a great time 😎 And I see myself in the Pink Ninja.. I was exactly the same on her age..
Searching in the German Forests for relics from WW2 as the only girl between all my nephews 😁
Found many relics and that was back in the time the borders in Europe were closed so when my holiday came to an end and got to go home I officially got sick at the Border.. sweating buckets and buckets! 😓
My parents didn't know why me and my sibling were so ill ..
We crossed the Border and nothing happened, we both fell asleep and never woke up until many hours later we got home. When we got out of the car my dad noticed my sibling was walking with a stiff leg.. he asked 'what's wrong, did you hit your knee?' Quickly the answer was 'I think so ' and that was that but we wanted to go into the house as fast as we could.. but got the sign to first unpack the car and then we were allowed to go to our own rooms.. So, we looked at each other and went to work, sweating like a pig and a pair of parents who were totally riddled and half way done they again came to us to give us the break we so much needed.. they thought we really must have picked up a bug or eaten something wrong and with that we didn't argued and litteraly ran upstairs to... start unpacking ourselves..
Pounds and pounds of ammunition came litteraly out of every corner, pockets and sowed in sleeves and at last all sorts of printers, knifes and everything in between! Also the stiff knee mystery ended up solved.. because the longer stiff printers were taped around the leg and the hips and middle of the body because we were afraid they would start shifting during the trip home and especially at the Border..!
Decades later I told my mom what was wrong on those trips, because this wasn't a one time affair although the rifles was a one time and never again ordeal 😂
But as a couple of kids who had enough for a whole army worthwhile of 'printer capsules .. and yeah, also the one's with the pull tap.. 👀
You can imagine how my mom reacted...
'What!? You guys weren't sick at all? We had to unpack everything ourselves!?' 😕👀
    😊😁
And I bet she knew what was going on but if my dad ever knew, I don't think so.. because I litteraly think that his reaction might have been a little bit different.. but I can't ask him that anymore sadly..
Thinking back about those days.. those childhood memories of that timeframe was awsome, actually looking like the Pink Ninja walking in the Forests and looking for 'printer capsules that still was intact and blowing them up right there and then on the most strang and stranger ways 😁
So, yeah... the Pink Ninja has a lot still to learn but if she's just like me? A girly girl with that little bit of a tomboy? Great times will come from that and it means she has a natural technical mindset to solve problems, or to cause them 😁😁
And about your buddy who even has his "protection" mask up behind the camera is a smart cookie, because many (sun)glasses have given away so much on pictures and camera's.
And at the end of the day it is about you guy's having fun and by the looks of it, success! Only those nasty stabbing flies who were eating you alive Lars! What a nasty stuff that is!
I would be tempted to bring a flametorch!
And the house comes a long way building it up I see!
But little bit of a question, does he have less power then you? I mean, you are the last on the power line aren't you? Because getting even less power is really becoming more of a problem for the group that's on the end... ?

    • @SurvivalRussia

Your Seagulls you see around the pond may be something like what we have in the U.S.A., but we call them Cattle Birds (or formally Cattle Egret) because you will see them sitting on the backs of cows eating bugs. They are a member of the Heron family, like the sea bird and you see them well inland instead of on the beach areas. Wikipedia says you also have them in Europe and Asia, so it may be the same bird. They are very happy to eat ticks, fleas and flies, so maybe that's why your campground has not so many.

Lars, the area you are camping in is absolutely perfect, well except for the battle with those Vampire files anyway!Water on both sides, good dry area to put up the tent, plenty of firewood available, and to be honest I am chartruse with envy! The Pink Ninja pigtails are weapons grade! I worry for future prospective suitors for her. Not only is her father quite capable of dispatching them, but they should worry just as much with her!!! Notice how these big tough Operation guys are scared of a little cameras, LOL!
But I have to thank them all, they put their lives on the line to give us the freedoms we enjoy!

Great video, as always, I think that being out for camping in the woods is a good opportunity to get trained for bushcraft and survival. It is always cool being a "part" of your team outside when you take us with you on your videos. I think if your buddy do not want to be filmed, it is for good reason and everyone should accept that. Stay safe and greetings from 🇦🇹👍

No need to apologise for your friend. The majority of us understan and the ones who don't are idiots. After doing some jobs you really do not want to be found. Comes with the territory of some of these special operations guys.

Awesome video as usual! Lol, I was thinking before that the Gator must be kind of difficult to get in and out of and then Lar's tumble over the side pretty much proved it :).

Looks like fun Lars. I imagine the Pink Ninja will have some good stories to tell her kids one day? Maybe she'll host her own show...Camping with the Pink Ninja...ha, ha...that would be awesome! I'm glad you've included your family in these videos. I saw one that your wife hosted a while ago...great stuff Lars...keep it coming.
    Thanks Lars.

Those bugs suck big time...I'd be bathing in bug spray and smoking non-stop. Those tent poles go into the end of the loops like a sock to stabilize the poles to keep it from sliding on the tent material and also so the wind will not lift the roof off the pole.

Eaten alive by bugs lol, it sucks when they swarm you but bugs are a good sign of healthy ecosystem. Camping in the russian wilderness with a tank, that's pretty badass.

Great video . Everyone needs time out with friends sometime. Nice that "PINK NINJA" is showing interest in going with you on your adventures. You may have a follower who will help you film more often. Stay Safe.

You live in beautiful countryside, and you have a wonderful family.....and a freaking tank!! Excellent video. Hey, easy solution--that fellow who never wants to be on camera, make him be the camera guy, he'll always be behind it.

You need a beekeeper suit! Or a thermacell. The horsefly bites seem to be worse than bee stings. The Gator is the perfect vehicle for adventures in the Russian wilderness. It is looking good too. Cool to see how the Pink Ninja has grown. I hope you all had a great trip!

Not so much Survival Russia more how to survive a tank ride with Lars. The spare loops at the front of the tent might be or would serve to hold second fly screen and it looks like you need one.
