I all not accept these comments on one of my favorite Kylie songs ever 😭 you can watch an awesome live version of this on her X Tour from 2008, vocals are far superior. Also, recommend watch her BBC performance from 2004, she’s in a pink dress and re-recorded her vocals to sound more her voice in 2004 rather than 1990.
Funk!!! Means a style of popular dance music of US black origin, based on elements of blues and soul and having a strong rhythm that typically accentuates the first beat in the bar. "a mixture of punk and funk"
The X tour version of this song is the superior version. There is also a better Mousse T remix that came out on her last compilation album which was more disco house feel.
There was a documentary recently called stock atkin and Waterman legends of music. Which shows you their their journey and the artists they worked with some of which talk about working with them like Kylie,Jason Donovan and Kim from Mel and Kim rip Mel.
Stock, Aitken, and Waterman were a music factory churning out hits like there was no tomorrow. It was a good move for Kylie when she was starting out, but when she became but enough it stifled her talent mainly because most of their songs sounded the same with that same electronic drum beat in the background with obviously a little variation, but whichever artist the song was by as soon as the song came on you instantly knew it was SAW. The songs were catchy as hell, as you've obviously noticed, and yes it's more pop than disco, but still very listenable.
Stock Aitken Waterman, the best English composer duo of the eighties, made this album for her and wrote the songs. Stock Aitken Waterman: Legends of Pop | Full Movie ua-cam.com/video/dN45n9RZ6I8/v-deo.html
Kylies voice at this point was inferior to the voice she has nurtured and worked on to what it is today...... Her voice wasnt as powerful or had as much range as present day Plus this was when she was singing Stock Aiken Waterman Tracks... and they always produced in such a way where the music overpowered the vocals because their vocalist weren't that great!!
You should really change your approach to your channel when it comes to Kylie. She has been a Queen of music since before you were born and we all loved it. You could do with remembering there was a time before you and TikTok etc 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ye your right I don't agree with you, the backing vocals complements the track & Kylie's main vocal power. The track is flat out 70's homeage & more 70's /Dance than pop. I am addicted to the 70's so know when something is 70's than Pop. If your under the weather don't react fullstop instead of taking out of a classic iconic KYLIE era that comprised of "Better The Devil You Know" Step Back In Time" "Shocked" What Do I Have To Do". By the way it's not a bad start this was an epic moment in Kylie's music & image/look. I personally think you are spent with Kylie your recent reactions to kylie have been ...meh & your lack of attitude towards her is hard to watch. Who doesn't know that her label was PWL & That it was Stock Aitken & Waterman I mean how many Kylie etc songs have you reacted to from them. Your acting like a first time #embarrassing I have been a avid watcher of your reactions & cannot believe I have had to write this. But say what I feel.😊 Hope your feeling better soon though.❤
If you want to see a version of this song done right, check out her performance of it from the X tour in 2008.
I agree. That performance is dope.
yes ther is great intro with backing singer vocals
One of my Favorites!!
To me, her best era.
Wow ! Great song 🎧 & video is amazing, I love it Kylie Minogue 🪩 🕺🏼
I AM SO OLD! This is youth to me, dancing and being carefree❤
Dereck it's time to react to her WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO ❤❤❤❤
Kylie. My Queen. Goddess Supreme.
Yea it was 1990, that was the music we loved at that time. It's a classic!!!!! And I love it now just as much as I did then.
You have to watch her video for ‘what do I have to do’ from the same album and one of her all time best SAW single and video.
💯 agree
A classic Kylie tune, SAW production (ez to recognize it). A good tune so early 90's, a bit updated but always good. Let's go!
I agree. Great tune, im a huge fan of SAW and their productions are timeless.
This song marked the start of Kylie's departure from her earlier teeny bop songs .. she told her producers she wanted to record more adult content
This one and Better the Devil You Know for me through my GCSEs 💃🕺💃🕺
I was only 10 years old when this was released. Was so taken aback by the 70s throwback to fashion n sound. It was so inspiring.
Remember the 70s revival in the 90s in general? Fashion does go round in cycles in 20-30 years anyway so it's been weird to see the 90s come back!
Waiting for your reaction of Padam Padam!!! Can't wait to watch.....
Legend
You need to check out the mashup version of this song mixed in with scenes from old Hollywood movies that is so cool.

Good song bah it doesn't really show much vocal ability as apposed to most her other songs
One of her best tracks!! Totally disagree!
Whatever happened to the ABBA reactions ??? 🤔🤔
Yeh this is not Kylie's best, probably amongst her weakest songs.
No
Stock Aitken and Waterman universe.
