If no one else has said it yet, Taskmaster is one of those shows that loses something special about it if you just watch the clips like this. I’d really recommend doing to this show what you’re currently doing with Cats Does Countdown and watch full episodes, in order
@@MrDavidNichols alex horne seems fairly chill in small doses in real life, but online he behaves like a mean-spirited and advertiser-funded copyright-holding corporation and broadcasting channel almost entirely independently from his persona also i've literally never seen anyone upload reactions to Taskmaster that weren't heavily, heavily edited, where are the reactions that suggested they were fairly chill about it lol
You've only just descended into the beautiful chaos of taskmaster! But the funniest clip from this season is the 'Throw the potato in the hole' task. It will have you in stitches
I'm glad you watched all five attempts at the task , it does give a bit more context . Each series features the same five contestants and we are now coming to series 17 . Taskmaster is always fun , the attempts range from sheer brilliance to ludicrously funny and Greggs ruling is final .
Each group of celebrities take part for about 8 -10 episodes. There are different winners of each episode and at the end of each series there is an overall winner.
One of the main things with this show is how the contestants stretch and interpret the challenge. Both the wording and the assumptions of what is or isn't allowed.
You need to watch full episodes to fully understand the show. The entire point of the show is to interpret the rules of the tasks in your own way. Bend the rules but don't break them.
big part of the challenge is to find out the fine print of what you can get away with. Like a "paint something in the dark" task that in none of the qualifiers says you can't just switch the light on.
Surely the best solution would be to cut a tiny piece off one pineapple leaf, "hide" the rest up your sweater (so it would be obvious), but then actually hide that last tiny piece somewhere really obscure, like in your hair or under your watch.
This s one of the tasks I always felt people missed the obvious approach. You win by having lex guess incorrectly a lot. So in my case, I would have cut off a small section of a leaf and taped it to the inside of a belt loop then like put the pineapple on my head or something
I think the best tactic for this task would be to keep 90% of the pineapple in one piece and just hold it in your hand. And then cut up the remaining 10% into tiny little pieces and hide them in unexpected places.
Thing is though, if they had eaten the entire pineapple, all Alex had to say was "it's in your stomach" and they would lose immediately because the entire pineapple was guessed in one go.
If you find it feasible, please react to full episodes of Taskmaster, this is the way! As others pointed out, there are copyright issues, so maybe check out some other reactors how they solved this issue, but it's soo worth it, full episodes all the way! Uploading one task at a time is fine I think, as long as it's in order and we can all enjoy your chronological journey.
As many will mention you will miss so much with just clips. Even if you don't do reactions to it, this is a show that is great and loved worldwide. The entire first series is available on Ytube just to try out. There is plenty of cheating in the show and that is just part of the fun.
The clips are often funny but you miss a lot of references, and what makes the show so good. Each series has the same cast for all episodes. Each episode has the same format, just to quickly go over it there is a "prize task" to start where they have been told to bring something in to the live studio show that fits a description (often obscure and open ended, like "best blue thing" or something silly). The Taskmaster decides which he likes best and awards points. This is the first task, then there's 4-5 tasks they have already filmed months prior and none of them know how each other did until it is shown, then a live task to finish done in front of the audience. The Taskmaster awards points however he sees fit for each task after they are shown, and he also does not know how they did until he sees them on the day. If it's objective like this task (most incorrect guesses) then it just goes by the numbers, unless someone has done something crazy that needs to be ruled on. But there's lots of subjective tasks as well. The person with the most points at the end of the episode wins that episode and the prizes from the first task. The points from each episode carry for the series win at the end of series. As the series go on, it becomes more of a narrative about how people are doing, the in jokes and call backs from all the previous episodes and tasks, and all of that kind of thing.
You really need to see whole episodes and then a series as it's the same people over season. Australia got this show and sharing our sense of humour did well with it, the US spin-off just didn't work...
Short, tall, thick, thin, Black, White, yellow, male or female. What ever your name. You are every bit as equal and as beautiful as anyone and everyone.
As some have said, the best is to watch full episodes. But watch full individual tasks is the next best thing. Please do not watch “The best of Bob Mortimer on Taskmaster” or any other individual contestant. You really lose context and lose most of the jokes that come from the reaction of the other contestants watching fellow contestants attempting the same task they had done.
You'd have to edit it down so it doesn't get removed but it would still be best if you actually watched full episodes of Taskmaster from the start so you could really appreciate it. At the start of each episode each person has to bring a prize and that's the first challenge. At the end of each episode whoever wins gets all the prizes. It's hard for me to articulate exactly why but you won't get the full experience if you don't. Also what the rules don't say you can't do is where the fun comes in. 😬
John Richardson is married to another comedian called Lucy Beaumont and they have a very funny show about their lives together that is part reality but really is scripted.
Never a fan of Taskmaster. Post-2016 sanitised woke comedy with the usual roll-call of liberal leftie dullards trying to shoe horn politics into the genre. And stuff...

Yeap that is the only way to get full enjoyment out of this show.
They are notoriously finicky about copyright claims though.
facts have been spoken

You HAVE to see the best of Bob Mortimer on this show 😂

I agree that eating shouldn't have been allowed, but the Taskmaster's word is final
MORE TASKMASTER!!!
Joe Wilkinson get the potato in the hole. Really funny.

There is a new WILTY Compilation called, 'The Valentine's Collection'.
From this series please watch potato task and impress a mayor
the 5 min 45 second clip ''Joe Wilkinson gets a POTATO into a GOLF HOLE | Taskmaster.'' So funny [ and a bit sad...for Joe ! ]
The Taskmaster isn't above disqualifying everyone

You need to understand, in Taskmaster, what they decide one week changes for the next week
it's a bit pointless to watch 1 task at a time but nice to see you finally got around to seeing some of the genius of this show

So happy you're doing Taskmaster. I'm quite obsessed with that show.
0:33 My wife would be proud of that look.
"Pineapple In A Box" - Brilliant!
Yes! Keep going with Taskmaster! The chaos never disappoints.
Well I never knew about the pineapple thing, who knew ... apparently having pampas grass in your front garden means the same thing
Thing is though, if they had eaten the entire pineapple, all Alex had to say was "it's in your stomach" and they would lose immediately because the entire pineapple was guessed in one go.
12:30 cars driving past 😂
