  • Discover the wonders of Yellowstone National Park through accessible hikes for all adventurers. Begin at Artist Point, where a wheelchair-friendly path offers breathtaking views of the majestic Lower Falls. Stroll along the Mud Volcano Trail, with boardwalk trails past bubbling mud pots and hot springs. Conquer the West Thumb Geyser Basin, where walkways showcase vibrant geothermal pools against the stunning backdrop of Yellowstone Lake. Embark on the Upper Geyser Basin Trail, passing iconic geysers like Old Faithful, Grand, and Riverside geysers. At Fountain Paint Pot Trail, witness colorful hot springs and fumaroles. Conclude at the magnificent Grand Prismatic Overlook, offering a bird's-eye view of the park's signature rainbow-hued hot spring.
    Special thanks to Josh of ThroughMyLens for helping me put this video together.
    One other thing I wanted to be sure to mention is to definitely carry water. Especially in the summer and when doing the longer hikes among geothermal features.

    I also love Yosemite but most all the parks are so unique and a pleasure to experience. We was only able to spend a day here . But the smell kind of leaves an impression on you also . I like the first hike for the easy but the view is special and old faithful unbelievable in it happens regularly. And the hotel in that area is so cool 😎. Great job love your videos . 😊

      @popshiking  5 місяців тому +1

      @PatrickMchenry-qp8fp They each are really unique. For me Yellowstone had so many different things between the mountains, geothermal, waterfalls, lake and wildlife. Unusual for one to cover so many bases.

    I worked for the concession company (TW Services) in my twenties in the hotels. Spent four seasons between Old Faithful, Lake Hotel and Canyon. Many retired folks also worked in the facilities. YOU can do it, too - Live there! Those were fabulous summers. (Also worked in Mount Rainier and Grand Teton Nationsal Parks!)

    Great suggestions. I think two of the hikes you mentioned are found in the Norris Geyser Basin, which is pretty incredible. I mention this just to help folks find it. The other one I would not miss is Mammoth Hot Springs, which is pretty unique. In addition to Artist's Point, the other viewpoints for the Lower Falls of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone are very easy to get to and provide an up close look.

    Great video. I turned 75 yesterday and I am leaving in few days for Yellowstone (first time). I am a lover of Yosemite (as you are) and really love anything mountains related. I am really not into geothermal stuff that much, so was hoping for some beautiful easy/moderate hikes in the mountains of Yellowstone. My favorite hike of all time is the mist trail to Nevada Falls at Yosemite, but almost toppled off the stairs (no railing) leading up to Vernal Falls a couple of years ago. Not as steady on my feet, even with my hiking sticks, as would like. The Artist point you talked about looks good, hope I can find a few more.

    • @popshiking
      @popshiking  19 днів тому

      Yes there are lots of other options besides the geothermal ones. Artist point for sure. Yeah those steps by the falls in Yosemite are a bit dicey! Thx for watching.

    You picked some of the best. The hike to lower Yellowstone falls is not horribly hard. Its switchbacks down to the overlook. Then switchbacks back up but there are benches to stop and rest on on the way back. Can’t believe you had never been there. I went for the first time in my 20s. What a great place! Everyone should see it. It’s incredible

    I, too, didn't make it to Yellowstone until my 60s. I drove up from my home in San Diego and spent 5 nights in the park in September 2021. Artist's Point, Grand Prismatic Overlook, and West Thumb were also high on my list. As fantastic as Yellowstone is, I enjoyed the stunning Grand Tetons more on my way to/from Yellowstone.

    6:05 - I haven't been to Yellowstone since 2015, and back then, there was no trail to the Grand Prismatic overlook! We had to bushwhack up the hill to get those views. Crazy how much it's changed!

    Thank you Pops! Your video is beautiful and the information amazing too. I don't want to offend to anybody but I have a bad feeling about the Yellow Stone park and this area. I feel that very soon a catastrophe may begin there, in that paradise. It makes me very sad and I need to know if anyone resonates more with this. I read about a prediction for 2023 and the visions I had told me that very soon there will be volcanic activity there. I pray to God that this is not the case and that he protects every living being in that area and the entire world of course. If anyone resonates with this or has more information please let me know. Thank you very much and I send you a hug of light ✨🌎🌱🙌✨

My doctor friend in the Dominican Republic's tells me that he saved another doctor he knows from getting knee replacements. & for arthritis he told me to put a Knox unflavored gelatin packet in my coffee or tea each day. Stir well. He says our bodies can regrow cartilage. Give it a try. I think it really works. -Debbie
