Here's what I did with my Nekocake: Bought memory foam eartips and replace the stock, set EQ setting to default on the Moondrop Link app, got a third party EQ and toned down the 250 - 500hz range in a smooth curve. Impactful bass, removes the mid emphasis that causes the boxy sound, highs without the harshness.

It wont fit in the case properly, though, so you will need to squeeze the memory foam when you want to put it back in the case. Alternatively, you can snip some of the memory foam off until it fits. In the end, I decided to just go with TPE eartips from Xelastec, the medium-large one.
My man, you've just saved me $50! 😂 I liked the different aesthetic that it had and it was my main motivation to purchase them because I literally know nothing about Headphones. I'm just a regular common consumer, and the fact that you literally covered all aspects of it in blunt honesty helped me take a sure decision! Snap, you even pointed out the latency of the headphone which is something that annoys me and I totally forgot about (my last and first Bluetooth headphones were the Jlab Earbuds from Walmart from years ago)! Friend, keep the quality content going, it helps a lot and you definitely got a new sub! 👌

Honestly, we could have custom voice promt options on any earbud, not just Nekocakes. I want the anime waifu no matter what earbud i use qq And we should make this a priority for all the tws companies.

What kind of design do you recommend for people to use while working out? Is this kind of design have better fit in ears? I find earbuds style easily falling off.
tbh I wasnt satisfied with the stock tuning. Felt a bit "compressed" to the vocals. On the app, moondrop classic sounds more natural but somehow abit too forward in the vocals Im currently on Wennebostel which looking at graphs online successfully imitates what Sennheiser iems sound like with an upper mid scoop Though I wouldve taken a tamer version of moondrop classic

The Bluetooth is horrible on them I will agree. I was shocked how many times it would disconnect just walking around with them phone in pocket I love everything else though. Sadly I don't want the headache of using them now
Moondrop for me always good, but for this tws it's not, the bluetooth codec is only AAC and SBC *Minimum aptx for me* , and the battery is too small, I should avoid this, and buy soundpeats But btw voice prompt moondrop so good xd
Haha well you do know that using AptX reduces battery life significantly right? I mean if you can perceive the difference then that's good, and no doubt Soundpeats make some of the best options out there (I agree nekocake is one of the weakest Moondrop product by far) which makes the voice prompt to be a selling point haha 😉
Sometimes not having the best bells and whistles give earbuds a little more unique twist to work with. I was so curious about the audio, fit, and qwerks that I had to try them. Looking forward to trying them after your experience review. Thx!!
