The space travel really is a decently tuned TWS. My only complaint is definitely the case
Yo! Thanks for stopping by. And yes, I agree.
Currently, Moondrop is selling a leather case for space travel. would have been nice if it was included in the packaging by default.
And the limp bass and treble grain, but yes the tuning is pretty good
@@zrad09 Yes I tried, nekocake and spacetravel has the same shape bud, fits perfectly
The case and the overall plastic build in my opinion. The buds feel a bit thin.
I would love to see MOONDROP make a higher tier version of this; something around $150.
Same tuning, but overall improved features. Such as a better battery, ANC and transparency capabilities, material build, etc.
Instant buy stuff right there!
I'm loving mine, had them for a few weeks now and I have no complaints. The sound is amazing. ANC is just okay, you can tell it's there but it's not super drastic, but I didn't expect much from such a cheap set. The touch controls work surprisingly well too. Yeah the case isn't great for throwing in your pocket, but the design is cool and unique compared to everything else out there. All in all they are a killer deal, easily recommended purchase.
Ordered! I can't wait for the cargo to arrive already, thank you for the review!!!
My two biggest issues with cheap TWS: white noise and reliability. If they hiss into your ears, you can't enjoy quiet music, and if they start losing one side or just go in eternal sleep a month after all praising reviews went out, tuning won't matter then either.
+1
I guess, but I feel similarly about cheap wired iem's, most of mine I've used religiously until there's an issue with the filters/driver, then I'll stop using. It sucks that they're not very reliable, but I feel the tradeoff of significantly higher accessibility and market competition is more than worth it.
@@bindstf2Yes - but for IEMs of the same cost, you don't need to add 2 amps/DACs, 2 wireless modules, 2 (3 if we count a charging case) batteries, cram all that into a tiny shell next to the drivers, and write firmware and develop an app. So at an identical price point, practically you have a bigger budget for sound components, and fewer points of failure.
But these.... Have no hiss unless you're in transparency mode and then it's more like just amplification of background noise.
I have this tws, and there's no hiss as far as I know
Been using them for a while as my gym set - so far seem rather nice for the price. Cheap enough to not worry too much about breaking them and lack of detail isn't really that huge of a deal in a relatively noisy environment to begin with. ANC is just alright, but i didnt expect anything beyond that for the price. Case could be better designed, though they do sell a leather case that goes over the regular one.
Giz said it's better than $20IEM. Do you agree?
@@NamTran-xc2ipI disagree, Moondrop Chu is still superior sound-wise
Great video, sound is the most important thing. Just got some, I am a jazz musician and you are absolutely right! ...the tuning is fantastic! 😊
Thanks so much 😅
The only problem I've is the low volume, I need 80% volume to enjoy it
I'm glad that the graph of this TWS looks to be slightly better than the ANA freebuds
Moondrop held a competition for the Space Travel you need to Color the Waifu of the Space Travel and Submit it to them, all the people that submit their Art work Won A FREE SPACE TRAVEL!! including me and i was Blown away how good these TWS are Really solid recommendation
Hi. Is the competition still available? Thanks
@@reginald8656 Sadly the competition ended August 17
awesome, can't wait for mine to arrive
I'm still trying to find an upgrade to this day from this pair, wired or wireless, with this similar tuning (reference)
I have no complaints about the sound, but I would like to be able to customize the operation in the application a little more.
Also, please don't release different colors later.
I just reordered a different color.
I'm actually IEMPRESSED (I know I've mistyped but hey it feels like a pun so... eh :D ) that it has the same level of details as the waner considering that it has an internal amp tha has the power output of a musquito fart.
good job moondrop.
Same technicalities and details as 20$ IEMs? Seems hard to believe
Battery life left the chat.
Also volume power😅
It's pretty shit but I never use them for more than 4 hours a day. The volume is not great but I always listen around 60% and it's volume is enough.
@@NamTran-xc2ip I saw my friend complain about the volume power. He usually use Anker dot3i 50-60% and now use space travel minimum 80%
i totally agree, i got one blindly and didn't expect it to be thaatttt good
Thanks Timmy
Just got mine too for $29 CAD and love it so far! My only complaints are the battery life (is an issue only sometimes) and the case since it's a bit finicky to take the earbuds out at times and dust could potentially get in easily.
Dang im glad i got it then, can't wait for it to arrive
Waiting for Kiwiears Quintet full review, hope you can do that.
Used them for a couple weeks for my commute to work and they were pretty solid. Sadly I lost mine at work even when I was trying my damndest to keep track of them but I guess it gave me an excuse to buy their Black colourway lol. Glad I didn't invest into something more expensive because I'm terrible with wireless earbuds, I've lost too many over the years and I rarely keep a pair for more than a year because of how bad I am with them
While I agree with everything you said Timmy, my pair stopped working after 4 days of use. After trying to figure out how to factory reset the pair, I gave up.
Budget moondrops are usually known for terrible build quality but eh i would say the tradeoff for sound quality is worth it
Finally, I was wondering why everyone's ignoring it and not reviewing it.
LOL. Have you tried looking for reviews? Almost every reviewers for IEMs and TWS already had one and Timmy is almost the last to review it. Some reviewers even rated the space travel as the best at this price range.
budget tws finally getting some love.
Hands up if you are already in line to order your Chopin! when is the release date!?
You can buy It now
The current kings are the Buds 2 Pro or Airpods Pro 2 with TWS audio quality. You say these are the best, is that for this price or compared to all? So according to Timmy, these earbuds that lack LDAC support sound significantly better than Buds 2 Pro? So buying this would be an upgrade? How does the Bluetooth perform?
So many unanswered questions. Feel like 4 minutes didnt do this product justice.
The lack of high bandwidth BT protocol support makes me question the overall audio quality potential.
got mine over a week ago, the volume is a little lacking for me but its been a lovely purchase. wish they put a battery indicator on their app. wouldve been a touch.
I agree regarding the volume. Another 20% headroom would really benefit the overall experience, especially outdoors.
It's been 5 months. Any issues yet? I'm planning to buy them but i heard some of them stopped working after a few months. Any comment?
Good review. I got these a little while ago. They sound really nice but they are pretty glitchy. The left bud keeps not charging but when they work they sound good! The ANC is okay but the transparency on them is excellent!
I actually don't find them super comfortable either but maybe I have weird ears.
Overall , exceptional value as you said.😊
Im really interested in these, but i heard a lot that they're not that loud. And i want the option to play as loud as i want! What would you recommend by moondrop thats as good as space travel but LOUDER??
Whats the best tuned tws in any price range?
Great overall, but a small complain I have is that it's kinda tricky to tap 4 times for low latency mode, it'll either activate voice assistant or skip a song etc
What i end up doing is, tapping 4 times to change into game mode before i connect. Sometimes the google assistant messes it up for me when it's connected.
Can anyone send me the name of the outro?
It's crazy for sure
Can you please tell what is that music in the end of vid.
can it be used while workout, does it have water resistance?
No comment on bluetooth performance? How is the compression?
And it comes in black.
how the sound quality compare to galaxy buds FE ? or galaxy buds 2
The thing you forgot to mention is the 4-5 hour battery life for the Moondrop Space Travel
I bought these headphones for watching UA-cam on my iPad. For 25€ I cannot wish for anything better.
Pros: cheap, sound is nice, I use it to listen to music while commuting, app is not required to use it.
Cons: case (yeah yeah), I need to readjust it inside my ear, plug it back if I move a lot.
BUT! I had the same CONS with Apple Airpods PRO 2, which I returned because it was falling of my ears, but that one did cost x10 more!!!
For 25€ this is an amazing product and for this price I don't even think that I want anything else.
hey man!
what is the title of the song on your outro?
what is your opinion of the moondrop space travel compared to the moondrop nekocake?
my right earphone is not working, i tried to press 8s for reset but still not working. what to do?
got it for $18 on the 11.11 sale and am impressed
I wanted to buy it but its not yet available in India.
That's some high praise for this pair. I would be enticed by it if it weren't for the Sparks which is still going strong, and is still my favorite pair of TWS.
Sparks are more expensive
@@ThichSmartphone2807 True, but he did say sub-$100.
Why does no one review the black ones
What about battery life?
Is moondrop space travel better then iem moondrop chu 2 dsp in sound quality?
No, wired earphones generally sound better
Yep i tried it and my cousin bought one. Definitely love the tuning, i might buy for myself one soon
review the truthear nova
whats the outro song its kinda fire
same here i wanna know as well
Beware. Demand is outpacing supply so much that I've been waiting for over two weeks now.
just got mine today and while it sounds good... it lacks power - I can hardly hear this thing at my regular volume and at 100% iphone 13 pro volume, it just sounds like a 50% on my blessing 3 unbalanced
What about nekocake kuroneko
These are probably my best headphone purchase, for the price it’s really unbeatable. If they changed the case to something that actually protects them, add larger batteries and license better codecs, they could easily compete at $100.
It's been 6 months. Any issues yet? I'm planning to buy them but i heard some of them wont last even a month. Any comments?
I love details so these are not an option.
What a steal, honestly. Very well tuned TWS - miles ahead of my significantly more expensive Sony XM3's (although of course the ANC is in another league as well)
One other thing that you didn't mention tho; I found the max volume level to be a tad on the lower side. But you can get these for about 17 USD here, so I ain't complaining HAHAH
Waiting name the outro song
Idk why he can’t put it in the description box
Alice 2 or a better one when
Design of the case is fantastic but not very functional. The max volume on iPhone is very low. For me sound to congested and not detailed. I just tested Moondrop golden age and I like this model more.
how does this compare to other tws? like buds 2 and airpods pro 2?
the only thing i'm not agree with is the technicality, it's just don't beat wan'er yet imo
tuning wise's great, technicality? still below average
I got one 3 days ago. Gave it away. Not for me. For sure the wuakitu of the drivers from hola is much better. Forget about the tuning. I can always mod the sound but not the driver.
Sound quality, is it better than the Hola like he said? I find it really hard to believe
@NamTran-xc2ip was for his tuning . Not for mine . And not for my volumes. The driver starts to spit like a driver flex i gave it away . And with digital eq even worse .
@@paulosilva8200 seems like moondrop paid him. I trust his iems review but not tws
Level detail is nothing close to Wan'er. Wan'er is much better, but with the ANC, comfort and easy of use outdoors it easily beats Wan'er in my case. I also bought the Gallileo,
How does this compare to the engine 4?
I dont think it can beat engine 4 😅 Ldac is game changer especially 660-990kbps...
He kinda overhyped the space travel. The engine 4 sound is way better
I don't seem to understand why moondrop would release products at prices that would hurt its other products but who cares! it's good for us consumers
They probably cannibalize their own products as a way to improve on the shortcomings of their previous products and to build up demand for the newer, cheaper releases. It's better for the consumers' wallets and it's more captivating to buy the newer product when it's cheaper and an improvement over the more expensive, older one. You can just take a look at how broke the sub-$100 bracket when the Aria came out because it was a cheaper Starfield which was a cheaper KXXS which was a cheaper Kansas Pro. Or more recently how the Para is a more competitive planar headphone when it's a refinement of the Venus at a cheaper price.
Guys, you're so much better saving your dough and buying well made stuff that is both better & is designed to last. I honestly believe the 'diminishing returns' starts a lot higher than most think.
I've held these in my hands and they are just not going to last very long at all. They're tat. Save up 300 and do better.
What is tws?
TWS = True Wireless Stereo
True wireless. Basically when the earbuds aren't connected with a wire.
Have mine for a month. My second TWS after QCY T13 and tbh I'm pretty surprised for a $25 pair.
I do have to nerd the treble a bit since it can be a bit too much for my taste, but most people will find it pretty good out if the box.
how you find the fitting, is the space travel more comfortable than t13? do you think it worth upgrade?
Yes@@shiroganekatsuki2940
The battery is sucked even for a usd 25 .just 4 hours😂😂
Not period....volume is too low...everybody says the sabe except bloguers.
I have these and I live at the beach. Let me tell you, the open box design is absolutely horrible. The build quality is cheap. They sound well for the money, but if you live in difficult surroundings, like sand, or even mild exposure to water, the design philosophy falls flat on the floor. Also, the quality of the earpieces is not in line with the industry standards, or what you would expect from a company that claims to build audiophile grade IEMs. The Battery is also average. Overall, it is a heavily mixed bag, with decent sound and everything else poor. ANC is good. 7/10
