Truly Awesome in EVERY way ...... Incredible layout with attention to detail that is second to none !!! Your videography is excellent with choice of locations from which its shot making it even more special. This is then further enhanced with top class professional editing. With a sound track that pops the "cherry 🍒 on top" - the result is one of the very best and truly atmospheric model railway videos I've seen in a very long time. I have to close by applauding you for your scenery, landscaping and scale modelling of your buildings, structures, locomotives and rolling stock. Many years of love and affection have clearly been dedicated to creating this outstanding layout. A true masterpiece 👌🏻
Watching these I keep finding myself still taking in the scenery. Obviously creating at atmospheric railway was not restricted to ol Brunel. Good vid as ever, thankyou.
Another great video Lewis ,as always interesting with beautiful eye level shots ,& seeing your older locos working just made it that bit more interesting .Big thankyou .😊
Very enjoyable all….Lewis ,unfortunately you have a certain person who continues to add rivet counting rubbish after your hard work in the comments, won’t mention any names.Carry on what your doing 😊
Who's the rivet counter😮 Anyway lovely and delightful video as usual. Unexpected turn of events i anticipated the goods consist to de drawn away after the run around, you had the mail train hooked up instead😂. This is what makes it worthwhile to watch and also actually make the content and post it. Forget i asked about the rivet counter no one to worry about😂😂

Great work as always! This channel and your beautiful layout was one of the things that got me wanting to get back into model railways as a hobby, so thank you for all the inspiration!
Absolutely love this channel and the layout, I inspire to have one like that, however don't have the space so either run on carpet or wood usually. Would love to see some of the rest of the line because it's amazing
Ey up! What a great day out! Big surprise to see so many eastern region locos at work today! 😁 Bit concerned though, it looks like that L1 at the beginning had an issue with the trailing bogie. Could develop into a hot box and putting her out of service! 😮 I do hope the driver has spotted it and taken care of it! 🫤 Those old open back cabs! The crew must have been “reet nithered “ going in reverse on some of those Pennine routes! Lovely day lad, thanks for bringing us along. 😁👍👊😎
Time 67722 had a "Light Intermediate". Either that or it was a very frosty morning !! As the rear trailing bogie wheels were definitely in "Skid mode" running into the station. Happy modelling🤥
A great video and nicely edited Lewis ! Love the choice of engines - especially the J15. A lovely little 'beast' and superb runner from Hornby as is the K1. I have several of each on my roster (sitting in boxes for the moment ). Some of Hornby's best. Thanks for sharing & happy model railroading ! Cheers, Filip
So one thing I've noticed is that the trailing truck has a wheelset that sticks, might need a stiffer spring to put more weight on it to get it to roll better or need to lubricate it heavier with some Oil.
Still dont know how you cut those wills sheets so well for the platforms 😂 that baffles me... I'm using the brick one and its so brittle! Never tire of watching these Lewis great to see. The sounds always make them even better aswell. Must take ages to pull them together. Quite fun when ive done a few shorts but to do a whole running sessions really impressive. Keep mouldy 🎉
Being a resident of "the East" (ie, living 8 miles from Lowestoft, the most easterly town in the country) I was very curious to see what locos you'd selected, and was not disappointed, especially by the ex-GER J15: you couldn't get more "Eastern" than that! J15s used to ply their trade through my town (Bungay) until the line closed in the 1960s. A very enjoyable video. Thanks.
Nice video Mr Mouldy. Every now and then the rear wheels of my 56XX decide to stop. I just give the maintenance fitter a good talking to! Cheers John. 😊
Well, I was going to mention the difficulty with your trailing truck, but many commenters already have pointed it out, so I will not mention it. The weathering on your locomotives gives them the "look" of reality. Our mind sees a leviathan dragging many tons along the rails, rather than a fist size contraption af plastic and metal! As always, excellent content, Lewis.
As a fan of the LNER, I'm extremely happy by your pick : the L1, my favorite overall British tank engine, a superb J15 in action, the branchline queen for me... And if you ends with a K1, that's the complete package ! A great moment with ex-LNER engines, and the best ones ! Just missing a B1 to be nitpicky, but why not as a star in a 4-6-0 special ?
In some angles of the video apart from no smoke and steam you could be looking at the real thing, ok sometimes the camera movement gave it away as well. But what detail, great looking model.
Love your work. May I request you consider putting the names/numbers/classes of your locos in the description? Would help a lot not having to look stuff up during the vids. :)
When l saw this video at the start, l thought it was real then as video started l noticed there was no smoke from the engine, also the cows weren't moving, but for all that it was an excellent video.
Hey, I'm a Yank who wants to learn more about British Railways. The last train, that picked up - what I think may have been livestock wagons - but which also included a couple of coaches on the end, and third from end - what type of train was this? Did British Railways run mixed goods/passenger local trains the way some American railroads did? I appreciate any information you can give me on this.
Certain types of perishable items, like milk, were classed as express goods and were allowed to be attached (first as wagons hauling milk churns and later milk tanker wagons in the 1930s) at the end of passenger trains.
@@TallboyDave oh yes and the symphony orchestra that was standard in BR MK1 full brakes. As everyone knows, the brake second opens were equipped with a string quartet due to the reduce space for the guard/conductor! 😂
Too many departure shots with the third engine, mate. Two would have been enough. The rear bogie on the tank engine's chassis needs some oil, it looks like. The back pair of trailing wheels isn't turning properly, I noticed. Otherwise, music to my ears.
Yeah the Hornby L1s are a weird design, they have picked ups on the bogie which stiffens them a bit, but you can remove them easily if preferred. Personally I think Hornby’s B1, K1, Britannia, 2MT, 9F etc are some of the best steam models around 👍🏻
I never get bored with that opening shot looking toward the tunnel as the train approaches the station. Awesome mate.
Thanks Paul 😀

A steam engine arriving tender first that is new and I love it ❤❤❤

brilliant layout - I also noticed the rear wheel on the first engine clip wasnt rotating properly especially in reverse
Thanks 👍🏻 Yeah that loco has pick ups on those wheels so they’re a bit stiff
Had a 00 gauge layout in the loft in the 1980s but this one is miles ahead of that.

67722 has stiff pony truck wheels !😉
It does! It’s those pesky pick ups on the ponie truck
cool vid
Thanks 👍🏻
How many locomotive do you currently own and are they all steam?
I think about 25 steam and two deisels
Where do you get your stem sounds from they are very good
Had some sticky rear wheels at the beginning mr mouldy, but great stuff as usual 👍
Thanks Rob 👍🏻 Yeah the L1 has pick ups on the rear ponie truck which makes them a bit stiff - not the best design
Just wondering where did you buy those station platforms from
I made the out of foam board, plaster and Wills plastic stone sheets.
Cheers
And what makes those locomotives the Beasts from the East? Are they LNER locomotives on an LMS line?
They are indeed 👍🏻
Gorgeous layout!! Where do you keep it? In the loft or in a shed in the garden?
Thanks! In my converted loft 👍🏻

That was a parcels train by the looks of it. The coaches were full brakes, so they don't have any seats in, just luggage space.
@@lukewolseyAnd space for the guard too, of course; that'd be the 'conductor' in American parlance.
