Mega layouts seem to be becoming popular. So much for the doom monsters who say the hobby is dying. This is just fabulous guys. Thanks for sharing 👍👍👍👍👍🇬🇧
This is the most stunning layout and this depot is the reason why I got into trains, grew up watching the sprinters go past from my grans tower block window Eastfield closed at the time and I got to see it reopened as it is today. This is my favourite depot.
I was a fireman at eastfield traction depot 1974 my uncle Jim Matthew was a mainline driver I can still remember the depot in the winter nights there was always a massive plume of diesel fumes hanging over the depot from all the engines running as they were never shut down in the winter as we could not get them started especially the class 37s
Hi. I was a fitter there before they enclosed the fuel bay. One winter nightshift (around 1985ish) the fueller's boots froze to the ground! There should be a couple of scrap Claytons right at the back. They lay there for many years. Superb.
I was a fireman with BR at eastfield 1974 my uncle was a mainline driver Jim Matthew I remember the guy who was the fueler his hands were red raw with the diesel
Now if that size layout WAS N Gauge it would have been even better but then I am an N gauge man always will be .But I appreciate all scales and this layout is amazing it looks so natural ,well done to everyone involved 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍
And they say model railways are dead 😆. Wow, what a brilliant effort. I love the amount of dead space between the roads in the TMD area. Less is certainly more. Do you ever consider automation for at least some of the mainline running?
Wow.. I've known this depo all through my teenage years .. Looks amazing 👍 I've always known the sidings at the back to have all the scrapped engines and a row of 8's.. You've probably got the scale right but I don't remember the siding being so far apart , suppose it looks different when your standing in the depo ? For me there always has to be a couple of 20's whistling away somewhere 😅
Was there Saturday - good layout, but very little movement and kids lost interest quickly due to this. However was good at showing off stock. Wasn’t the best layout there that was the Renfrewshire Club layout, kids loved that.
To many freight passing although just watching passengers can be boring. Not likely to see a nuclear flask train with a single class 20 on it and certainly not running nose first. Running nose first would require a secondman and a brakevan for the guard. Also the hst is the wrong way round, first class should be at the other end. If your going to spend so much attention to detail, get the train running right.
Wow this is probably the best layout I've seen for many a year !! Big and beautiful !!
This layout was the star of the show this year in Glasgow. Epic. Well done.

That is absolutely spectacular! A massive credit to all involved!
Fantastic layout...its even got the grass embankment where I stood by the fence back in the mid eighties😁👍
Gorgeous yard layout!! Nice bit of work, well constructed and attractive to watch.
You know it's a brilliant model railway when you know it's Eastfield as soon as you see it !

@@thomasshepard6030 Thats him. It was claimed that the Arabs had made him an offer for his oil soaked overalls.
You've done Pete Waterman with this👍👍👍
Saw it last week … superb … few wee teething issues , but boys did really well to overcome and always had time for a wee blether with the punters
Fabulous layout, very proud to see my hand-built signals on this. Great to see them in action. Courtesy of Absolute Aspects.

Excellent job 👏 👍 👌 from Northern Ireland.
Absolutely incredible layout. I can't believe this thing travels! I'd love to see it broken down into its separate modules.

Brilliant Layout and needs to come back once Queen St Station has been fully built
Looks great.
Well done team. 👍
Happy modelling
Personally, I’m a steam fanatic!! But the diesel electric Class 37 is my favourite diesel locomotive.

Amazing
Need more info, club have a website? How was it constructed, how did you move it?
How do you raise the money to build the layout?
The layout is mine and paid for by me not the club working hard pays off over the years to have things like Eastfield.
Fabulous
Wow

we had problems with the wifi which knocked out all the points so not as much running as we would have liked.
We struggled with this in my last club. The people want to see trains running.
👏👍☘
It is very good. But nothing much happening!
we had wifi problems which we will not be using again so much learned from the show for the future running.
👍🏻

And the black five running tender first near the end had no coal in the tender
