Holly, hope your weekend is full up with joy, love and peace. The boxes were awesome. Those Tilda buttons!! Show us your beautiful bag when you make it. ❤
Oh Dandelion is truly feeling better lol. Airing it all out as I say to my cat that lays like this! Lol. Both boxes were awesome. The floral prints for thr makeup bag are truly gorgeous! I hope you get to sew for even just a few minutes this weekend. Take care.
not a tilda girl BUT elephants in this tilda line is wonderful! love that sewers club box ! please do a sew along on that make up big. oh dandelion you are soooo cute .
What a nice curation of items from Intrepid thread using Tilda's Jubilee circus theme! I also like the Sewers Club makeup pouch pattern. I really like that their project box features a pattern for a smaller project. I like to alternate makinq quilts with making smaller items. I'm still interested in the Valentine's Box even if it will come past Valentine's Day 💕
Yeah. Cali weather. Weird is right. You’ve heard of bobbin chicken? We’ll we lost roof chicken with the last rains here. There’s currently very strong thick plastic on our roof to halt the bleeding, uh, leaks. We got pushed up on the roofer’s list so we should be reroofed by month end. No flooding, there are a couple places where the paint is blistering on ceilings and one closet ceiling that’s a little worse. We had buckets out in case in two areas in case but they remained dry. Good news is quilting corner is dry. So, we can play along in complaining about the weather this year after all. (I usually keep my lip zipped and pray for you all come winter.) 😊
I look forward to the moment of Zen every day, so happy she is feeling back to normal😁 Hopefully you get to sew and show us your projects soon. Have a lovely weekend!
Hi Holly, the Tilda Club box had some cute items in it. I love the project that came in the Sewers Box - so pretty. Looks like Dandelion is ready for a laid back weekend.
I’m glad you enjoyed the content of this boxes. Maybe this little project inspires you to seat in front of your sewing machine. Dandelion looks definitely relaxed and happy… it’s adorable! Thank you for sharing.
Thread cutters from Carolina Moore can be sewn onto a pincushion for convenience when you are hand-stitching, or taking the pincushion to retreats or traveling. I have ordered several of those to make pincushions for some friends. So handy!
Hi Holly! I'm so jealous of Dandelion! She looks like.she has given into her dreams with total abandonment! Holly the sticker you put on the note you included in the box I won found a new home on my Juki sewing machine! Have a blessed day and a wonderful weekend!
Oh that Dandelion......in that pinup pose again!!! LOL!!! Loved both boxes and that fabric is gorgeous♥ The little buttons will look very cute on River's new clothing Grandma is going to make♥ Blessings to you. Tom and the Dandelion♥
What a pretty Tilda box and sticker💕 oh, I like notions. That is a great idea- a color wheel . It is a good box. The Sewers’ box is wonderful. I am glad Dandelion is doing better. Maybe this box will get your mojo on. That is my cat’s favorite sleeping position lol. Have a great day Holly❤️
*Two* boxes today - now that really brightens up my morning! And both boxes are absolutely amazing; there's not a single thing in either of them that I don't like. Plus *you* seem happy with pretty much everything in them, too; I know you've had some "meh" reactions lately and I'm so glad you got lots of goodies this time. No mustard-colored anything in these packages, LOL! The Tilda box is truly well thought out. I really need to get a color wheel (maybe the "Learn About Color" subscription from Creekside Quilts will include one - keeping my fingers crossed! The USPS tracking estimates that mine will arrive on Monday; I'm soooo excited 🙂 But I digress...) The elephant stuffie pattern is my favorite thing, I think; I've been wanting to make some stuffies and just haven't found a pattern that appeals to me yet. (I'm also kicking myself in the patootie for getting rid of the rabbit pattern I used to have many years ago; I suppose it *might* be in the garage somewhere but I'm afraid it's gone forever.) I didn't know you could sharpen pins with soap, many thanks for that helpful tip! I'm kinda sorry I don't get the Sewers Club project box; I know *exactly* who I would make this for. Alas, I couldn't find the pattern on their website, so it must be a subscription exclusive. The purple fabric with the stars is just ::chef's kiss:: and coordinates so well with the florals. I like that it uses snaps; makes a nice change from the usual zipper. The thread appears to have a navy/purple sort of sheen to it, but that might just be a quirk of my computer screen. In any case, this is a really awesome project. (I follow another UA-camr - Fred Makes Things - who also gets this box, and I can't wait to see her reaction to it. She's very fond of making bags/pouches and I know she's going to be utterly delighted with this one.) Now, I'm not trying to talk you into making the elephant (I totally am), but picture it: Stitch up some patchwork from the scraps left over from making River's little rompers, then use the patchwork to make her a matching stuffie. How adorable would that be? You mentioned that the (gorgeous!!) fabric you tested the pin on was Marsha Durst, which sent me down a rabbit hole that led to this dandelion print; thought it might be something you'd like. I know that I love it! www.mendedheartsquilting.com/products/dandelion-green-w750364 (Actually I went down several rabbit holes while watching; I paused it so many times, it's taken me AN HOUR to get to the end!)
Holly, dandelion is perking up👏👏👏 Those boxes are fantabulous👏👏👏 I would love to see a sew along on the project! I have a hunch that you’ll be happy piddling around in your happy space this weekend! Thank you so much for all your hard work, kindness, love and support you show to the wishes AND the world. 🥰🙏🏻✝️❤️😀
So nice to see you excited. Children are such motivators!😊 I would love a color wheel class. I've never had a color wheel and don't want to purchase one unless I know how to use, this old brain sometimes can be full of batting😅
Currently waiting for some Jubilee fabric and my Colors of Tilda subscription from The Intrepid Thread! Can’t wait, it’s always so fun! Hope you will show the make up case if you make it, I need ideas to make one for my son’s girlfriend!❤
Yes, I have heard about the steel wool, but the soap is new to me. I also think crushed walnuts do the trick, I remember making pin cushions with crushed walnuts. Thank you and have a good day, Rachel.
I like your TV that shows quilts. I will have to send a couple pictures! A raccoon would 100% want to ride a purple elephant! That id the stuff my dreams are made of 🤣 i had a good weekend, sewed and watched the Superbowl too. It has been rainy and oogy here.
It's unbelieveable, isn't it? I've lived in California my whole life - nearly 60 years - and I can't remember rain like this before. My immediate area has been under flash flood warnings twice this week, and just 20 miles from here a major street had to be closed due to flooding on Monday. So far we're OK, but you better believe we have bug-out bags packed for ourselves and the dogs just in case. Glad that you are safe as well!
Oh Sleeping Beauty Dandelion! What a great pose. She’s funny girl!! Yes Intrepid Box had lots of goodies in it. My Tilda order came with a Squirrel Sticker! I love our Sewers Club Project and fabric is sew pretty!! I’m not sure I can make that to be Honest, maybe go watch video!! Soo we had Earthquake today about 1:45 it was a sharp jolt I knew it was under a 5 as the lights stayed on😂😂😂😂 It ended up to be 4.6 centered in Westlake Village, but it was on the Malibu Fault line on the coast thru said!! You know what I hardly take pictures of my quilts and I don’t know why not!! Thanks Holly ❤️ 🤗 🥰
We felt that one down here in Long Beach as well. Just a little shake, but our poor dog Magrat was terrified & took ages to calm down. Our other dog, Dibbler, was much more laid back about it.
Stick them in a bar of soap. I used to do this (back before dirt) with my babies diaper pins to keep them sharp. I've also heard that poking them repeatedly into foil works, too.
Do you say “Hello my lovely wishes.” at the beginning of the video? I have that color wheel and it’s so nice, love it. Great boxes, TYSM for sharing them.
The rules for each giveaway are in the description box under the video where I open that box. Basically, you need to be subscribed to the channel and then leave the correct word in the comments.
Hi Holly I really enjoy your videos I just wish you would show items a little closer and longer. I’m not sure what they look like in the short time that you hold them up to the camera. Thanks for all you do!❤
@@stephaniesnape6787 I love the overhead shots, too. (I'm so spoiled by it, I won't watch a video that doesn't have it anymore.) However sometimes the amount of time an object is on camera is not as long as I'd like, especially when it's being given a close up. There have been a few times where it's been taken away just as the camera focuses on it. I often pause the video for a longer look.
Yes! We need a color wheel class!!!
Holly, hope your weekend is full up with joy, love and peace. The boxes were awesome. Those Tilda buttons!! Show us your beautiful bag when you make it. ❤
I would really appreciate a color wheel class. I have one and it just hangs on my wall as a decoration!!
Wonderful boxes. Thank you always for sharing. Blessings.
I am going to be a great grandmother in May, a little boy.. I do love the fabric and protect box.
Congratulations!!
Happy Happy Friday!! Love the boxes and dandelion makes my day!!❤❤

Maybe you already have a place to put all the stickers you save, but a scrap book would be cool.
And then next year you could show them all.
Such a good idea! I'm going to do that!!!
Do you have the name of that beautiful flower fabric from the sewers club box? TFS.
All the fabric is Deborah's Garden by Northcott.
Wait, there's a way to sharpen pins?
