Some black families don't have family support so they have no choice but go solo on their career path. The West tells the media that 18 black children are adults and should be equipped to get a low pay job, move out get an apartment, own a car, and start college on loans. The reality because of capitalism that American Dream is a nightmare for black lives. Black children when they graduate high school are not performing on college level. Teachers only teach for a salary and to produce effective students who can pass state exams. Yes we need an collective ideology that promotes black power like a army. Praying on your knees for miracles is slave minded thinking that our grandparents would do. Today arm yourself and pray with your feet revolutionary changes must take effective for black liberation.
Struggling with this right now. Even though they have demonstrated an appalling level of apathy and disregard for the fact that my siblings and I are Refugee, African orphans. So much has happened to push us away from them, but we are still attached even though our rational mind says cut off communication. Its just difficult because they raised us longer than our actual parents and we had no connection to our origins the entire time. I came to my consciousness as a an African and it has worsened the battles I face in many aspects of life.
