      Ha, me too! I think they just released the new version, but this still works better than any other modern practice amp I've tried, even if by now it's "old"

      100% on that! Me too. All 70 years of it. I wanted to be a rock star, but that didn't work out. So now, being retired, and living alone in my apartment, but still thinking musically the way I did back in the day, I just wanna rock!!

      Want tubes but my wife works at home (permanent now) and goes to bed very early. Thus, very low volume for me. Headphones or low volume downstairs. The THR10C is high on my list but can't make up my mind with the Spark and a few others. How is the software program and other owners contributing patches-settings? Also, I have read that there are other amp voices avail on the program but I haven't been able to find that on a demo video. Thanks!

    Recently purchased this model, it really is awesome. Used for recording into Logic Pro X and I can have this as a THR input/Avid output. Great feature also. Recording direct is stunning via USB , I've never had such a high quality guitar product ever before that can do so many things. Worth every penny. Nice one again to the Yamaha Team. 👍👍👍🎸

    This vid was part of my research into practice amps and I stopped back in to say I own a THR 10 now and I love it. This video really does not do the sound justice, very lovely and rich sounds. The accompanying pc software was a pleasant surprise as well, having added sound shaping features such as a compressor and a gate that can then be saved back to the on board memory settings. Awesome!

    Ive owned two THR5s (the first I accidentally left in the back seat of a rental car...Ooops! Just explaining that it wasnt because it broke or whatnot...) and I absolutely LOVE it. The effects alone are worth it. The phaser PHASES, the tremelo trembles...it just sounds amazing. Believe me, Ive thought many a time about how to play it live. It certainly would make my life simpler!

    My dad got himself the 10 and loves it. Lets him play upstairs without bothering anyone, plus he can plug his ipod in and play backing tracks out of it at the same time. Just for a practice amp they really nailed it. Easy to use, great tones, and the usb/mp3 additions are just icing on the cake.

    Got one a few days ago, and it's so great, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for something for your office, studio, bedroom or bus, the thing he doesn't say is, it runs on batteries as well, 6 hours from AA's. Touring in Europe? Need something that doesn't need a converter plug for every different country you're in? Great for the dressing room!

    I thought my AC4 Vox amp was the way to go in an appartment. But after trying the THR10 model I am in awe.I can play now exactly the tones I want, and it sound like a cranked tube amp, also when quiet as a whisper. It is really highly recomended.

    Have the THR5 myself for a desktop practice amp. Perfectly designed for this, and great tones out of such a cheap and small amp. Got it for 100 used, totally worth that. Very pleased.

    The reviewer was absolutely correct when he said that this

    And to hear the amp @ low volume instead of using headphones
    is a big relief. LOL

    Played this at Guitar Center today as I was about to leave. Ended up staying for an extra half hour just messing around on this thing. It sounds really good! Didn't know if it was tube or not. I thought it was the whole time I was playing it. Sounds like a tube amp, that's for sure. If it's not, then it does some DAMN good modeling. Convinced me. It even responds to the guitar's volume.

    Gallien Krueger did exactly this 30 years ago with the ML and MB-Series - Amps. They had a fine stereo-amp for Guitar, called GK 250ML, that combines 100 watts of stereo power with studio effects into a "lunch-box" sized enclosure. This was in 1983. The GK 200 MB bass-amp followed 1984 and is a well known and used amp until today. It is my favourite bass bass amp for recording. BTW, this guy knows how to play. ;-)

    I got a THR10 last week. I have owned a bunch of amps, both tube and digital modelling. I LOVE everything about this amp. The tones are "delicious". The EQ is incredibly sensitive. Take this amp and mic it or use the AUX out to another power amp and you will be amazed. The built in speakers are crystalline clear. Sounds amazing when playing recorded music through it. Don't think about it, just go buy one. You will NOT return it.

    this amp is really great! i just bought one a few weeks ago: tube-like sound, cool effects and small size! great for playing at home (at least better and quieter than my 50w marshall) and i even use it at small rehersals. plus the hi-fi-sound is incredible, comparable to the bose wave sound system. it sounds BIG! i'm still checking out the downloadable software and recording abilities, but it seems to be easy as well...

  • @FNDRS1
    @FNDRS1 11 років тому

    Definitely will check out the THR-10. I wish there were an optional pedal to get for it so you can switch between the saved presets and to turn effects on and off. An expression pedal would be nice to have on it for a wah wah too. Having said that it is good they concetrated on getting quality sounds and not putting a bunch of average sounding amps and effects into it.
