I just re-watched this and realized I have been following this recipe, almost to the letter for over, 6-months. I even switched to Hunt's Pasta Sauce, I thought I did it on my own, but maybe in was subliminal from your vid? Anyway, switching to Hunt's has saved us a ton of money (6-cents per ounce is hard to beat); and the flavor is just grand. I add Merlot wine as part of the water addition. I just happen to have the Ultra 3-Quart too, and I always set the cook time to half of the lowest cook time (listed on the pasta packaging). When I use Angel Hair pasta (a personal preference of ours), I set my cooker to "High" Pressure and "Zero" minutes (a nice feature of the Ultra); it comes to pressure, beeps and goes to keep warm. It works for us. Thanks for the great video and instructions.
This UA-cam answered an important question for me. One BIG reason I bought the 3 quart Instant Pot was to do left overs or pull food frozen out of the freezer and make it in the 3 quart. Quick meals from the freezer, rice and I’m going to try boiling eggs too. I’m excited. I was supposed to get it tomorrow on Sunday but tracking says not which is fine. I hate for people to have to work on a Sunday. Maybe I’l have it on Monday. SO excited ! Thanks for posting this UA-cam ! I’m pumped now !
Looks fantastic! I’m new to instant pot cooking and have an instant pot 3 quart. I was getting the burning food message for a few attempts. Didn’t realize what I was doin’ until I found that the pot I was using is a duo automatic natural release. This means I didn’t need to push down the release button when I started cooking. I should have left the release button up towards the ceiling bc it automatically does all the work. Then when it “beeps” to show the food is completely I just press the release button down once with my index finger and it will release all the pressured air. I think this was causing my food to burn! I will see tonight if this was what I should have been doin’ all along. Thanks🔥
This was excellent Doug!! I needed to cook my noodles probably a minute or two longer in my Instant Pot Duo Nova, and will use my own favorite sauce next time - but I love it!! This made enough for two-three people and was worth it! No more boiling pasta on the stove!!
Maybe you could put half the can of sauce in, then add the noodles, then pour the rest over the noodles so you don’t have to dilute it as much with water. Just a thought :)
Cooking with Doug the gadget man looks pretty good there can't wait till they invent smell-o-vision keep sharing the videos I'll keep watching God bless let's hope for the Lions and the Giants next year
Actually for spaghetti in the instant pot. Fan out the pasta to prevent from sticking. Your pasta looking good Doug. I love the pre cut pasta I use it all the time
Pull and you shall chop. BAM! Did you see that Aldi came out with new baking dishes? They only go to 400F/200C. Not for me, I'm set right now but didn't know if you were in the market for more Crofton bakeware. Six minutes. Pretty good.
After the first time you use your Instant Pot your gonna want to smack yourself and think why you had this amazing magical cooker that you could have used this whole time. I had mine for 6 months before I used it and after I use it every week to the point it almost never leaves my countertop.
Bought my new 3 quart for just this kind of meal. My store makes its own sausage and prepackages various kind of refrigerated meatballs. Some spaghetti and RAO's marinara and I should be good to go.
Spaghetti cooked in the pressure cooker is a total FAIL always. I've tried it a few times and it is always stuck together in clumps and some is cooked, some not. I feel it's better to just do the spaghetti on the stove in boiling water, as usual, then add it later.
Do you have a link for your paper towel dispenser? Thanks for the video, I can see that your little tick marks above the word "cooking" also looks like it is missing 1-2 tick marks half way through the batch of them. Wonder why they do that?

Time to start looking into buying one of those time saving cooking gadgets. Thanks!
“It’s just wisdom, why not?”😂 I’ve seen videos where folks do not lay the spaghetti in the same direction to avoid clumps.
Nice.
I have to get one of these! I have to! Thank you again for your work and sharing.

I made spaghetti from a different video and it was good but kind of dry. This looks better, can't wait to try it.

Great vid! Thanks Doug! Glad you enjoyed!

It gets diluted because there needs to be extra liquid in order to pressure cook.
Yummy that look so good. Thanks for sharing Doug.
This does make a super spaghetti and meatball dinner. I would layer the noodles in different directions to avoid clumping!
Doug, that looks really easy but really delicious.

Wow! My instant pot is still in a box! Since December.

Looks delicious 💝
This just might be the perfect size to have on the big truck, the 6qt was too big and cumbersome!
Bought my new 3 quart for just this kind of meal. My store makes its own sausage and prepackages various kind of refrigerated meatballs. Some spaghetti and RAO's marinara and I should be good to go.
Yummy !!! Love that new 3 qt :) one of the reasons I got a pc and still have to try it lol !! Awesome ♡ I like that brand of meatballs too !
🤣 I love ur style " keep it going!! 😉😁
Does the pasta come out soggy?
That's great, Doug! : )
Not too bad for being made together.
Spaghetti cooked in the pressure cooker is a total FAIL always. I've tried it a few times and it is always stuck together in clumps and some is cooked, some not. I feel it's better to just do the spaghetti on the stove in boiling water, as usual, then add it later.
Perfect....so do that :)
Hey Doug were did you get that automatic paper towel dispenser I need one of those 🤔

One question Doug. Did you use the whole package of meatballs or just half? I'm thinking of doing a double batch in my 6qt? Looks yummy!!
