... THANKS Sam! I pondered not uploading but I find we all learn more from our mistakes than the easy stuff right. At least that's what I tell myself. Cheers!
Unfortunate you didn’t make it to the summit but I still appreciate the upload. I use your videos for reference when I go out and this will be no different
It may be frustrating, but truly, there are no bad days in the mountains. I will be trying to summit Mt. James Walker in a few weeks. I love being above the tree line. Cheers.
The upside to not summiting is that now it won’t be so boring going back and doing it again. Not that summiting Bogart would ever be boring. Last year I did Red Ridge and came down the scree cone. That was an awesome route as a loop.
I led a group up Caldron Peak a month ago and we failed to summit due to a route finding mishap on my part. These things happen. I think you posting a video of a failed attempt shows another much needed side to scrambling - when to call it quits and be safe. Like you said, the mountain isn't going anywhere
... Thanks Wesley! Ya I debated whether or not to post the video but decided that maybe it's a good lesson for not just me but everyone to remember that social media isnt all perfect. How did the group do with the error on Caldron? I'm sure they were fine. It's always a great day to be out. Cheers!
Thanks Harlan for sharing it with us. It’s good to reach the summit, but also important to stop when things go wrong.
Thanks Yuxin! Agreed. Thought it was important to still post it.
Great video as always! Very inspiring! Always upload no matter what. Huge accomplishment always. Enjoy your videos ⛰

I did the Jon Martin route. It was almost hands in the pocket for the most part. I can't remember any difficulties. This was in the 80's
this is a good summit. I enjoyed it

... Thanks Josh! Ya most of it is there. I'll get back up there again. Cheers!
Very inspiring. You will continue it with the great plan. Like what I did to Akamina Ridge in Waterton.
... Thanks Ed! I will be back to finish it one day.

... I agree. Other than not summitting it was the best weather I have had in 10 years. No bad days. I agree. Have fun on James Walker!
Nice try. Looks like a challenging climb. Beautiful views. Cheers boys.
... Yes it was very challenging Jim. Such a great day. Now I have to go back and finish it.

@@alane3983 ... True Alan! That's a steep scree chute. Would be fun going down. Bogart is a beautiful hike though.

Took me two tries to get up Bogart. I came from Ribbon Lake both times but missed the same cliff band the first time as well.
... Wow! That's a long approach. Kudos!
Always inspiring!
What are your top three adventures in Kananaskis?
.. Hmm. Not sure. This was really fun until I felt bad. Likely Mt. SHARK, Smutwood for views.
