I didn't know this route had a name. It was described in the Alpine Guide to the South Rockies but without a name. I did it in 1984 or 85 or 86. Straight forward and an enjoyable route.
The Alpine Guide to the Canadain Rockies South (American Alpine Club and Alpine Club of Canada) call it the West Ridge too and attribute it to J. Martin in September 1974 but it was probably climed before that. I assume that the "J. Martin" referred to was John Martin who climbed almost everything by numerous routes (often solo) everywhere west of Calgary.in those days.

I just call it that because Nugara describes it in his book “More Scrambles in the Canadian Rockies”. He describes the route as “via the west ridge”.
