    This kit will maximize the displacement of your engine with a cubic inch-enhancing stroker kit that includes a 9000 Series cast crankshaft, Pro Stock I-beam connecting rods with ARP 8740 3/8" cap screw bolts, forged flat top pistons as well as rings and main & rod bearings. This kit allows for different compression ratios depending on the heads installed. muscle.am/2qY46eR

    More Displacement, More Power. The Scat Stroker Series will allow you to increase the displacement of your 1979 to 1995 Mustang from a scant 302 cubic inches to a stout 347 cubic inches. The star of the show is the Scat 9000 Series cast crankshaft that is rated to handle up to 500 tarmac-chewing horsepower. This Scat Stroker Kit is perfect for naturally aspirated or forced induction set-ups, including those with aftermarket nitrous oxide systems. Keeping the standard 4.030" bore, this system increases the stroke to 3.40" with a 5.400" rod length. Unbalanced right out of the box so you will need a 28 oz. harmonic balancer along with a 28 oz. flywheel or flex plate. With a proper set of aftermarket heads, intake and camshaft, a 347 stroker motor is easily capable of pushing 400 horsepower and above.
    Designed for Performance. The Scat 9000 Series crankshaft is lighter than the factory crankshaft and is precision ground with micro-polished journal areas. The kit includes eight Pro Stock Forged I-Beam connecting rods with ARP 8740 3/8-inch cap screw bolts, forged flat top pistons, and the main rod bearings. With this kit installed, the compression ratio will vary depending on the type of head used in the set-up, but typically anywhere from 9.6:1 (70cc head) all the way to 11:1 (58cc head).
    Professional Installation Required. You will need a high level of mechanical expertise to install the Scat Stroker Series 9000 in your 1979 to 1995 5.0-liter Mustang. Due to the complicated nature of the installation process, professional installation is highly recommended. Given most people re-purpose their stock block when stroking their engine, it is possible the block will need some machine work in order to bring everything back into spec.

    1998 I used this kit in an HO block with ARP main studs and a steel main girdle, Probe pistons, C&A zero gap taper face rings topped with ported Victor Jr heads. Boost via Vortech STrim. Only engine I ever built, had no problems.
    I know this kit is good for reliable 600whp as long as the tune is on.

    Most quality 347 kits come with a main girdle as well to help with those higher HP applications.

      A main girdle is only good to hold both sides of the 302 block for when they spilt in two.

    A crankshaft only rated to 500hp? That really limits your head, cam, and induction combo.. among other things. A 347 should surpass the 500 mark.. going over the crankshaft limit. Heck, I can squeeze 500 out of a built 302 I couldn't imagine a 347.

    • @SophiaAphrodite
      @SophiaAphrodite 3 роки тому +2

      You are not getting 500hp out of a 302 without turbo, superchager or NOS. You would get about 300hp.
