Make sure you have the USB cord in correctly, not sure if I had it in right the first time because it showed up tonight. It happened after cleaning memory Android. With other devices the video is imported correctly. Video with another Android opens fine. Reset to factory settings did not help. why?
Sure uploading to 'the cloud' could be faster and or more efficient for some, thats the route I use personally. This video is just to show 1 of many possible ways to get media from android to pc. Ive been dragging my feet lately lol but will be posting a few more vids showing other ways to get stuff from phone to pc.
My friend who is my tech support told me that your phone has to be in unlocked status, then go to notifications select USB settings to select media transfer and not charging your phone. Make sure your USB is plugged in correctly too.
I don't get the message you got to open pictures and videos. I have Windows 8.1 And phone is Samsung S3, unlocked version. Do I need to do some settings?
ok if you dont get the message then do this... plug in your phone, then open any window/folder, look to the left side and click on 'Computer' you should see 'devices with removable storage' double click your phone's drive then proceed as instructed in the video

I can send images from my phone through email and have them at my email destination and have them placed into 'Picture's' for example. What did I miss, that allows me to plug-in my android to my desk top and transfer the information that I want to be transferred? My phone is plugged into my desk-top and I guess that I am awaiting instruction. Is there something that I need to do to initiate the communication between my cellular device and my desk-top? But what if I want to transfer literally every picture in my gallery? If I use this method, the only pictures that are in that 'camera' folder are the pictures taken with the camera, not saved pictures, edited ones, etc. Help please!
you follow the steps as shown and/but instead of just going directly to the DCIM folder you can access any/all data on your phone from the root directory, so to find say edited pics look for the folder name of the app you used to do the editing

Phone needs to be on for sure, try looking in settings for usb options and change to 'mass storage'. As well windows vista doesn't preload or check windows update for drivers, try going to your phone manufacturer support website to download and install the proper drivers.

+jacob nielson thats normal. something on your phone should pop up and you can select transfer pictures and videos on your hone then it should show up

yes the pictures will still be on your phone as well as your computer, the drag & drop is always default to a copy action not cutting or paste

or just save it privately on social media and go to it on computer and save it from there
