Thanks for a GREAT video. I am not very techy. I like how you explained things and also showed each step as you spoke not assuming that somebody knew what you meant when you said go here or there, or do this. This will sound weird to lots of people but even explaining about the USB cord and how to plug it in would be helpful to someone just learning(not me luckily but I thought that deserved a comment lol) This has made it so much easier for me to load my pictures now. Not sure, perhaps they're being saved to a different directory for some reason. Try the following: open the "Gallery" app, find a video you recorded, open it, hit the menu button, and select "Details". From there it should show you where it is saved. Cheers.
very simple as you said compute takes mobile hand set as an external hard drive. you also need a driver for your usb connected device to your computer ( good info)
but your jargon about mobile memory ( +storage ) internal + external (sd card ) is a wonderful explanation ******

You might be missing the drivers, I explain how to get them for your Android device at 5:27 However, Android devices with versions of Android 4.1 and newer don't usually show on the Android device to turn on USB storage, it simply does it automatically.
The only thing I can think of is that when you paste it to your computer, you might be right clicking and selecting "paste as shortcut" instead of "paste". If that isn't the issue then I'm not sure if your files from your Android device are corrupted/have errors or your computer. You'll have to Google search the issue, I suggest asking in "XDA forums" website, that's where developers could help you.

Did you allow USB debugging maybe that's why go into setting and find USB debugging and allow it
I've done it now, I used a different cable, although the tutorials don't follow what I have to do, I have to drag all the photos into my pictures folder, there's no other way to do it Afolabi Adekanle

+Nikki Penny Plug the USB cable PC to Phone. Once done, drag from top status bar (where battery level, wireless signal, time, etc min icons appear) and will show you USB options.
When I open up my folder from my phone there is nothing there.

You're most likely missing the drivers for your phone. Google "Kies" from samsung, download it, run it and then connect your phone. It should work since the Kies program contains the drivers for Samsung devices. If it still doesn't work then simply Google the exact issue you have to see if anyone else on the net had a solved the same issue.
Yes it works and I don't need to transfer any additional software on to my computer, just the USB cord.

@07:10 The reason for the different versions is to comply with requriements for different geographic regions, so there may be differences in relation to languages, voltage settings, plugs that come with the phone and other fine tweaks to suit the country the product is being marketted to. USA is not the wohole of the world, you know!

As mentioned in the video, you probably need the drivers. Google "(your device name) drivers". You should find plenty of results.

On my HTC one, i copy a video onto my phone. but sometimes it gives me the option to convert and transfer, sometimes it doesnt. I need to convert every time or it doesn't play properly. How do i fix this?

Hey there. You're obviously very well versed. Apparently all my photos and videos are uploaded to the "cloud". I plugged in my usb and I get a message that says "there's nothing to import". I want a concrete back up. Not just the crazy cloud. I don't know why it is saying that there is "nothing to import" when my storage is now FULL; hence, the REASON I am looking to transfer from phone to computer (but cannot, since it says there nothing is there to import; and, yes I can see all photos/videos on my phone and most on cloud except for the most recent. i did what you did! i put my video to my mobile (in the same folder) but... when i,m plug-out my mobile the video won't show him self in the folder :(
That means you're missing the drivers and you'll have to download and install them. Google search this; "your android phone model" drivers. Use Google to find your device's drivers.

Hi,when I go onto my phone files I can see Internal Storage and SD card on the laptop screen. I go to click on any of those to see what they contain and it just says they contain no files. Nothing,even though it tells me how much space is taken up,no files show up on either the SD card or internal storage. Help,please it's urgent!!!

Not sure, there are thousands of Android devices worldwide so to help with your problem would be impossible for me. Google search your device model and the exact problem or ask in an Android forum.

The simplest method is to copy the files from the Tab 2 to a folder on your computer, then copy the files from that folder on your computer to the Tab Pro 8.4.

+Babbling Boolean Guys I found another idea. When you connect your device all of those folders will show up.Go to DCIM and then right click the camera folder and copy. Then paste it all to another folder.

okay so I use to have Samsung before a long time ago then I joined the iPhone hype and now back with Samsung (home sweet home) I just have a question that isn't really asked often but, when I put music onto my phone it goes on great but I am one who loves having album covers showing on all my music (bit OCD about it) is there any way you can tell me which I can edit my music on my Samsung to show the artists album cover and not just some blank thing

Actually, you can do this very easily and wirelessly from any Android device, simply using an App called DropR.
I installed it a few days ago, it works great ! And transfer is made in one click !

I assume you mean when you see your phone pictures on your computer? They most likely aren't synced (unless you activate a feature like that in an app such as Google+). The best way to save them is to simply copy and paste them to your computer's hard drive.

1.download some music (save in folder)
2.connect your phone to computer (usb)
3.click ' computer'
4.click on 'music'
5.open another 'computer'
6.open the folder with the music and copy
7.paste music in the first ' computer' file
8.check your phone music file/app
9.done
10.have nice music :3

That's strange I've never heard of that problem before, try again after restarting your computer and Android device. If it still doesn't work, sign up to the website "XDA Forums" and ask in the "General" section, it sounds like a pain but most Android developers are there and are very fast to respond.

Newer versions of Android don't have that option, you simply plug it into your computer and that's it.
Already done that but nothing showed up in my computer, I also done the *#0808* as well as the usb debugging but still can not. Is there any other way?

Perhaps you're computer needs the drivers for your device.
I had the same problem and had to scour the internet with no solutions posted. In the end, I had to figure it out myself. Go to settings, then click 'Storage' (under 'DEVICE'). Click the three vertical squares on the top right of the screen and you will see a window appear 'USB computer connection.' That's it :) Pretty stupid how Google decided to put this feature in a non-intuitive place.
