I think the fact that the real rex was so quiet compared to it's movie counterpart makes it even scarier. Imagine something like that sneaking up on you and by the time you realize something's off it's too late.
worse even it used low frequency sound. Imagine you're in a swamp like the everglade, or in a pine forest, it's dusk, there's some mist it's quite dark. And suddenly you're hearing a very deep growl so powerfull and deep you practically feel it pass through your body, like loud music speaker. As your raise your head to see a large dark silhouette and two eyes that seem to reflect light a bit.
@@deinsilverdrac8695 The idea that something that big could be right there beside you without you ever knowing is the very definition of primal fear. It wouldn't even need to attack. You can feel something's off. You can't see it, you can't hear it, but it's there all the same. It could attack at any time and you wouldn't know, or be able to stop it when it did. It would be the most powerless feeling imaginable. If you're lucky enough to get out in one piece, you leave never knowing you were at the mercy of something that looks at you the same way a cougar or wolf would regard a rabbit. It didn't let you go because of mercy or pity. It just wasn't hungry that day. But who knows if you'll be that lucky next time.
I dont see the scariness from these roars. Ingen rexe's roar scare me cause even if i don't know if it's from a t.rex , i know something big made it. I'm more scared of not knowing what or where those sounds are coming from than the actual sounds themselves.
It might not be as flashy, but as someone who has been around elephants when they make similar low pitched noises, something I rather like about this is when set to a high volume you can *feel* the sound. It can get quite intense in life and goes without description.
The roars from Jurassic park and films are scary and iconic in it’s own right but this is honestly how nightmare in the forests will be like. The fear is primal because you’re not only hearing it but also felt
You know something, playing these sounds on a huge loud speaker out in the wild could disturb and scare some animals if they heard and felt the vibration and sounds of the snarls, growls, and vocals of the T-REX.
The vocalization is amazing, but this is what would be described as a calm behavior. Now i think that when a rex is angry or aggressive they would sound similar to crocodile's and alligator's with their loud hisses and growls.
@@TheBEASTOPIA I didn't want hurt you, I just said what noticed. I know how hard making animations. You making animations with blender or something else?
Imagine being in a dense forest during the Late Cretaceous. The sun is setting, darkness is taking hold of the forest, and visibility is decreasing. Then... this sound is heard. Judging by sound alone, I don't think it's very obvious whether it belongs to a huge creature, or a tiny one sometimes. This is apparent if the person in such a scenario has no idea what a large predatory dinosaur like Tyrannosaurus rex might've sounded like. Perhaps the most ominous part about this is that hearing these sounds alone might not give good indication as to whether the creature is simply passing by... Or about to close in...
At such a low frequency, its like an attack on the eardrums and your senses, moving right through you. Its like how when someone shouting doesn't seem that scary, but their tranquil fury is truly disturbing; that's the energy of this T. rex's calls.
Loved that tiny down feathers on dorsal neck. Besides, very well made scientifically accurate rex. This channel has incredible future! Subbed for more. ❤️
It’s always the quiet ones you need to watch out for… ;D Love this so much! Putting already intimidating audio like this together with such cool animation is just awesome!!
For just communication, this makes sense That said, when these giants clashed(and they seemed to do that a lot) the roars and jaws crunching would be truly something to behold.
I love this representation. I'm sure Rex could make plenty of these noises and probably a lot more. Many reptiles use hissing noises and with Rex's nasal cavity and massive throat it could probably make some shocking noises with forced air.
The Real-Life Tyrannosaurus Rex may’ve sounded like how many dinosaur documentaries, like Walking with Dinosaurs, When Dinosaurs Roamed America, Prehistoric Park and Jurassic Fight Club, portrayed it.
Love it! I once read an article that said that the real world T rex probably could only do something like quack. So I grabbed some sound editing software, found a wav file of a quacking duck, and scaled it up to the size one might expect to hear from a Rex. And I'm still confident if a 40-50 foot long "duck" walks around the corner and quacks at me, I'm still going to find the quickest way to get the hell out of there.
We do know dinosaurs that this dinosaur:**I forgot the name of but it’s an Ankylosaur** have syrinx like organs which means theropods likely also have syrinx like organs or even an actual syrinx which could lead us to a variety of sounds like low chirps and very uncanny stuff
Even though this is prolly what they sounded like most of the time, there’s no way they couldn’t do at least a few very loud growls/roars for scaring off or fighting others of the same species.
Close your eyes. Imagine you are in a prehistoric forest back all those years ago. You don't hear a distant roar signifying anything is approaching. You barely even hear footsteps. All you hear is this sound. This would be absolutely terrifying. Especially for those who are not paleo nerds. They would have no idea what is standing near them.......watching their every move.

I just talked to a scientist at the museum They told me that T-Rex has a soft tissue inside their throat that’s why they sound quietly. Also they told me sound like crocodiles sounds.
It is believed that at a certain frequency. The infrasound would've induced the fight or flight response in its prey from a distance. Then, sensing the prey fleeing through the pads of their feet.
