We just harvested our olives and we ended up with 185 litres of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, meaning harvested, crushed to remove the oil then bottled in under 24 hours. It is beautiful and even a little fruity and in unfiltered. It’s fresh and alive, it’s got to be good for you.

Well Dr. Mandel, growing up in Italy, having many olive oils trees, almonds, figs, fresh fruits and vegetables and whole grains, I am aware of all these beautiful things. I only use the golden stuff and in the summer I always have a big vegetable garden. My neighbors get what I have, and a lot more people at work as well. It's almost the end of November, and I still have fresh tomatoes, and just finished my potatoes. However;my radicchio lettuce is berried in the snow. I live in Canada in the beautiful Province of Alberta and we do get snow. God Bless for your hard work.
Being in central California I can relate to all the fresh food but not the weather. Yes to the gold oil. I buy from Verni Farms, labeled California Gold. The orchard is a few miles from our house and was planted in the 1920s by the grandfather of the current owners. The difference in getting fresh oil is incredible.
For a good extra virgin olive oil, make sure it’s organic first, because you don’t need to be eating pesticides. Then make sure it lists the countries of origin, and if you can, get a single country, or even better, a single farm of origin. The BEST olive oil I ever had was a Greek olive oil from a single family farm that I tried at a farmer’s market. It should taste green and spicy. It should also be stored in dark green glass or an aluminum tin or bottle to protect it from spoiling from UV exposure.

BEWARE! Ibuprofen does NOT contain oleocanthol which is in olive oils. But both ibuprofen and EVOO have the similar anti-inflammatory effect. - from a food chemist.
@13jorino Hi, I use Organic Flora Imported Unfiltered Extra Virgin Olive Oil. And San Michele's Laudemio Olive Oil is very nice as well. You should have to "shake" both of these because of the sediments settling at the bottom of the bottle (similar to Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar).

But nobody would let you test before you buy it. I can't trust any brand out there, unless I can process it myself. Years ago, my cholesterol level was almost to the limit line. I heard olive oil helped lower cholesterol. I ate about 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil a day. My cholesterol level got higher faster. Now, I only use olive oil to make homemade lip balm.
SO wrong - Kalamata Oil has ZERO acidity/burn/bitterness, that's why it's considered the best. These olives actually ripen (= until purple) and are not picked prematurely. 😎
That California Brand Olive Oil is expensive relative to other brands but it's worth it. It's hard to find a legit olive oil that's unadulterated so I bought it for the first time a few months ago after seeing it exclusively on most cooking shows and here. I really, really like it. Furthermore, I'm SO glad the Doc here talks about the slight burning sensation because I noticed it with this (not with any other olive oil I've tasted straight) and thought it meant I got a bad batch. I didn't know that's the mark of the good stuff!
@@peterdarker1 Here is a bit of a list, starting with American and progressing to some European: Williams Sonoma, Bragg, Mantova, Napa Valley, La Tourangelle, Pianogrillo Farm, Brightland, Bona Furtuna Biancolillia, Frantoio Franci IGP. If you want to save some money and buy a gallon or more, Bragg has what you need. If you're looking for something to go with a desert then Frantoio Franci. In any case you can't go wrong with any of these or of course the California Ranch which is excellent.

I take a shot glass of olive oil every day and immediately eat some bread or cheese just so I don’t have the taste stuck there. Really helps. (I also have it on bread, but currently can’t due to location and plans not to go down to the city (about 850km is the shortest to any major city like Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide’s further, and I’m not going to Darwin or Perth.)

Hes not a medical doctor. Hes a Chiropractor. This is not the person you want to be treating you when you are having health problems because he didnt go to school for that. Actual medical Doctors are much more educated, chiropractors are great at doing adjustments and stuff like trigger point message but they arent qaulified to be giving advice or treating people like a normal Doctor. I love my Chiropractor, ive seen him for years and my mom also dated a very skilled chiropractor for years but they have a very specific expertise. They arent trained in medicine, cant help you when you are sick or need to find out what wrong with you. They cant treat you in any sense other than regarding Chiropractoc adjustments and massage.

California Ranch is a healthy and reasonably priced EVO but only one grown and produced in California. Dont. Buy one made from destination oils. Long distance can grow rancid. Very popular so isnt sitting on shelf.

Yes, it behaves a lot like ibuprofen. Of course, you might keep in mind that your choice, for the same effect, is 200 mg of ibuprofen (1 pill) or 500 grams (about half a liter) of olive oil. Bottoms up!
Great advise!! But what’s also great advise is make sure your olive oil comes from 1 destination e.g Spain. As you can see from your bottle yours comes from multiple destinations so the quality won’t be as good if not bad.

@13jorino Hi, I use Organic Flora Imported Unfiltered Extra Virgin Olive Oil. And San Michele's Laudemio Olive Oil is very nice as well. You should have to "shake" both of these because of the sediments settling at the bottom of the bottle (similar to Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar).

Years ago, my cholesterol level was almost to the limit line. I heard olive oil helped lower cholesterol. I ate about 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil a day. My cholesterol level got higher faster.
Now, I only use olive oil to make homemade lip balm.

SO wrong - Kalamata Oil has ZERO acidity/burn/bitterness, that's why it's considered the best. These olives actually ripen (= until purple) and are not picked prematurely. 😎

That California Brand Olive Oil is expensive relative to other brands but it's worth it. It's hard to find a legit olive oil that's unadulterated so I bought it for the first time a few months ago after seeing it exclusively on most cooking shows and here. I really, really like it. Furthermore, I'm SO glad the Doc here talks about the slight burning sensation because I noticed it with this (not with any other olive oil I've tasted straight) and thought it meant I got a bad batch. I didn't know that's the mark of the good stuff!

@@peterdarker1 Here is a bit of a list, starting with American and progressing to some European: Williams Sonoma, Bragg, Mantova, Napa Valley, La Tourangelle, Pianogrillo Farm, Brightland, Bona Furtuna Biancolillia, Frantoio Franci IGP.
If you want to save some money and buy a gallon or more, Bragg has what you need. If you're looking for something to go with a desert then Frantoio Franci. In any case you can't go wrong with any of these or of course the California Ranch which is excellent.

@@paradiseawaits821 It's called "California Olive Ranch" and I was mistaken because he is actually holding the one that is only 10% Californian and the rest mixed from Portugal, Argentina, etc. It can still be legit olive oil but their bottles that are 100% California cost more and have a white label instead of green.

I take a shot glass of olive oil every day and immediately eat some bread or cheese just so I don’t have the taste stuck there. Really helps. (I also have it on bread, but currently can’t due to location and plans not to go down to the city (about 850km is the shortest to any major city like Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide’s further, and I’m not going to Darwin or Perth.)
Another method is to pour the olive oil over the bread.
@@oskartheme5233 sometimes, but we don’t have much good bread out here to speak of, although we do buy tons of nice bread and freeze it (French toast and occasionally a good Italian meal etc.) but it’s expensive to buy so much at once, and we only have 2 freezers at the moment, and our aircon is broken, although it’ll be fixed before summer in November. (Australian who picked this up from a Greek mate a long time ago).

Hes not a medical doctor. Hes a Chiropractor. This is not the person you want to be treating you when you are having health problems because he didnt go to school for that. Actual medical Doctors are much more educated, chiropractors are great at doing adjustments and stuff like trigger point message but they arent qaulified to be giving advice or treating people like a normal Doctor. I love my Chiropractor, ive seen him for years and my mom also dated a very skilled chiropractor for years but they have a very specific expertise. They arent trained in medicine, cant help you when you are sick or need to find out what wrong with you. They cant treat you in any sense other than regarding Chiropractoc adjustments and massage.

I used to use the one he has. That actually has a mix! 4 countries. That brand does make one that looks the same, but it's only from olives in CA. And it's a few bucks more expensive. I've used that one as well. I started ordering one from Amazon. It's the absolute best! It is expensive, compared to the grocery store, but It's from one country in Africa. It comes in a long neck, glass bottle, that looks like a wine bottle, and it's so dark, it almost looks black. It's 1st cold pressed, organic, and extra virgin. The taste is kind of like pepper, mixed with a bold, rich olive flavor. It's so smooth, and it has the burn he speaks of!❤ I use it medicinally, on my hair/skin,and as a finishing oil.❤❤ 🫒
California Ranch is a healthy and reasonably priced EVO but only one grown and produced in California. Dont. Buy one made from destination oils. Long distance can grow rancid. Very popular so isnt sitting on shelf.

Thank you for the information, I've lost trust in most doctors, They don't care about their patients anymore, They just try to get people in-and-out real quickly, HM o's make it worse. I've been missed diagnosed over and over again, They don't show concern for what I'm concerned for, And they're highly offended when I asked them for natural remedies. I have become my own doctor, I've done a lot of my own research, I use WebMD for diagnosis, And I look up any natural remedies that I can find for those diagnosis. I have a whole lot of chronic illnesses passed down for my family, I've watched doctors destroy my mother's life, And I choose not to go the same route, My mother is on 25 different pills A-day And I started watching her grow really old really fast, Is getting worse and worse, The main thing that would have been best for her would have been exercise and dieting, But instead they just gave her pills after pills after pills.

Great advise!! But what’s also great advise is make sure your olive oil comes from 1 destination e.g Spain. As you can see from your bottle yours comes from multiple destinations so the quality won’t be as good if not bad.
And notice he covered up the "California" word? It's all glyphosate! haha
In Spain in the year 1981 there was a poison oil sold as good oil which killed 300 people and disabled thousands, tread with cre any scoundrel can stick a pretty label of a busty senorita on a nice bottle and call it super deluxe extra virgin , (there aren't many virgins in Spain since I've been there)🏖🏕
